That's the kicker, isn't it? I've gone on a couple 'coffee dates' and one sexual escapade and the relating, at least on my end, lacked depth. Now, I don't remember that happening when I was 24 and seeing older. But then, I'm also picky about verbal ability when addressing those concerns. Most of those discussions with the younger bracket are like pulling teeth, they can't seem to verbalized their opinions or reasonings. Makes me leery.

We all are at one time or another, you won't solve that either by chasing false dreams but you can make it much worse. Better to find friends who accept you for who you are instead of trying to mold you into something you are not.

Though I might hasten to add that some of that is bound to be other's confusion on my description of my thought processes during the popular pastime of 20 Questions - can't really blame, oh, half of 'em for that niggling 'lil detail. Sure, they're undoubtably missing similar reference and contextual points via personal history. But there's qualities needed besides clarity of speech that I don't exactly possess in great numbers, so really, conscicity stands in for all the tire-kickin', and that I tend to find with older individuals.

Nearly 13 years ago I began a relationship with someone much younger than myself. Shortly after that we got married, although we consider the day we started our relationship, the day we committed ourselves to each other in our hearts, as our anniversary date. Coming up in May will be our 13 year anniversary. That says everything that needs to be said.

I've been in a serious relationship with a guy who was 8 years younger then me, I was 31 at the time, he was 23, just out of college, trying to find his place in the world, started a new job. We were both kind of at the same place in life though at the time, in a phase of transition, I had just left a job I had been at for 9 years. We dated for about a year but never got super serious, I still talk to him.

In this past year, I met a good friend at a local gay bar, he's 20, I'm 34. We've officially coined our relationship as "fucking friends" lol. We know the only reason we met was due to physical attraction, but he's a good guy, a bit crazy at times, but we do our own thing. What can I say, I'm into the smooth faced, floppy haired skinny twink types, he likes the muscled, bald daddy types.

My mother and father were 10 years apart. His mother and father were 10 years apart. My partner of 35 years years is 7 years older than I. I call him Grampa sometimes now.....

I suppose you're right. I would like to find love, and hope that there is a guy out there for me.

As I think most of me hating gay, is hating the fact I'm alone and not having a companion that loves me.

I feel ugly and unwanted.
