I saw this pop up in the corner of a page

Didn't these guys support anti-gay marriage? I stopped buying things from there because I read somewhere they fund anti-gay campaign groups. If not, ignore my ignorance.

Cute tho.

At some point they put a chunk of money into somebody's campaign, and that politician was anti-gay. I forgot who, but I think I remember it was a Republican who was "friendly toward Business" and it's even possible that issue wasn't noticed in the shuffle originally.

Any company, anywhere, who gives money to any campaign of ANY Republican is, ALMOST ALWAYS, supporting the campaign of an antigay politician!! Being antigay is a litmus test for that Party...and certainly a good proof is that the LCR and GoProud will not be allowed to speak at the Convention.

Similar to the thread author who "read somewhere" about Target being anti-gay, I've read somewhere (or somewheres?? lol) that the company is actually considerably more gay-frieendly than not. One of the things I read **MIGHT** have been them not allowing the Salvation Army to collect donations at their portal because of their extreme antigay stance, for example.

Target is gay friendly. They offer same sex benefits and this past June they celebrated Pride month. We have 2 openly gay managers at the place I work and one now a senior manager and she obviously gay...swagger and all lol but she is very well liked lol We also have 2 gay HR techs.

Oh wow, all this time I avoided shopping there because I thought they weren't gay friendly. However, they're still expensive compared to similar larger retail stores! :L

Good on them!

They weren't always gay friendly. I remember reading a headline awhile back about Lady Gaga apologizing to her fans that one of her CDs was being sold by an anti-gay company.

As long as they aren't as shamelessly bigoted as Chick Fil A, I'm good.

Target seems to go back and forth, it sort of looks like a sales advantage for them. A little while ago they were selling LGBT pride shirts however none of the shirts even mentioned the words and the tees were only available to purchase online and not in stores. Very confusing, however I stopped paying attention!
