Tariffs in the second Trump Administration [SPLIT]

And apparently, there are some MAGAts who still don't understand how tariffs work.

What can we tell them? If you try to reason with TrumpCo., they will take it as weakness and humiliate you.

If you respond with strength, they will still hit you with tariffs.

This is about one thing and one thing only.

TrumpCo. NEEDS these tariffs as a consumption tax paid by Americans to offset the revenue from income tax on billionaires and corporations. The math doesn't work over the long term without it.

We saw in the first term that Trum, Lutnick and the other misfits negotiating trade deals were way out of their depth and didn't understand trade at all. They were outplayed on TPP and NAFTA 2.0 as well as other international trade agreements.

But I would say that if you slid into their DMs and let them know that you get that they are trying to impose a Federal goods and services tax without alerting the US taxpayers...it might go a bit easier.

Also a bit of intersectionality and I have mentioned this here before.

The on and off tariffs are a great opportunity for business leaders to pay $5 million to have a one on one with Trump and negotiate eceptions for their businesses and products.

We're not buying it any more.

China has some pretty powerful tools to use in any trade disputes.

The question out there is whther Trump's trade war threatens to decouple the world’s top LNG buyer and seller.

China hasn’t imported LNG from the US for 40 days, the longest gap in almost two years according to EconSky

And while we yielded to not adding a 25% export charge to electricity, Ontario is making good on the promise to exclude US companies from bidding on Ontario infrastructure.

Back in negative territory again today.

I suspect the organizers were actually concerned about safety and security.

Never know when a teSSla might explode into flames.

Or come in to invade the country.

Guess where a lot of Canadians used to take a trip for the music and attractions? It apprently represents about 18,000 seats.

Looks like Canadians are missing out on all the fun on Florida beaches. Not.

Economic growth is going down and inflation is going up yet the market went up today, could it be Powell’s statement that he views tariffs as transitory ( a word he should avoid) when it comes to inflation was all the market heard? Powell is still talking 2 rate cuts music to Trumps ears. Oh the benefits of firing people you can’t legally fire.

Jerome Powell another quisling who likes his job and wants to keep it.

Back in the red today.

So on April 2, 2025, TrumpCo. will plunge the US and the world into deep recession.

White House aides are preparing to impose new tariffs on most imports on April 2, laying the groundwork for an escalation in global economic hostilities that President Donald Trump has called “Liberation Day.”

I still don't understand why he and his hapless group of dumbfucks don't realize that the entore world will impose countervailing duites and seek to cut the US out of the supply side?

They realize it. It's what they want.

Pretty much a flat day in the market...
