This is interesting. I thought Judaism forbade tattoos but it looks like they're big in Israel. This is from five years ago.

One sign of the mainstreaming of tattoos here is the Israel Tattoo Convention; last year the first annual convention drew about 1,000 people. At the second one last weekend in Tel Aviv, nearly 4,000 Israelis showed up to give or get tattoos, or to just take a peek.

Shay Daudi, the owner of a Tel Aviv tattoo parlor and cofounder of the convention, hopes the event will help make Israel an international center of tattoo culture.

I got mine a few years ago and I'm 52. I waited this long because I didn't know what I wanted. I have a yellow rose on my rt forearm (moms favorite flower) and a goldfinch on my lt forearm (my dad always had goldfinches in our back yard).

The old saying holds true. You get what you pay for. I found a great artist and each one cost me 350.00 American.
