Thoughts?

Feels?

I don't want to quote anything because of copyright but basically this boy was a bully and the teacher instructed the kids (Even though some didn't want to do) to hit him.

Some might think is fine because bullies need a wake up call.

Keep in mind he is all of 6 years old. Imagine if your child ran home saying he got popped by his entire class on teacher's orders.

I do wonder if he will continue being a bully.

This is absolutely ridiculous. I know we're in a craze about bullying right now, but he's six years old. Children that age are still learning the difference between right and wrong. The teacher should have made him apologize and sit his ass in a corner somewhere.

I guarantee you if this happened to my nephew I would be going ham, cheese, bacon, no tomato, easy mayo and toasted wheat in this bitch.

This shit was stupid. That teacher is a fucking moron. That's NOT how you solve bullying. To stop bullying is to call the person out on their shit, call their parents, and in a mature matter solve the problem. Bullies need to embarrassed, not beaten on as well.

I think that teacher deserves a frikken medal. But then again I think bullies, regardless of age, male or female, also deserve a public lashing given by the people who they've bullied.

It seems counterproductive. By suppressing one bully, the teacher is also raising 24 other bullies.

But then again, a "potential" bully(s) from that class may fear the perceived consequence, should they become bullies. So it could be a scare tactic for both parties. Regardless, the teacher went way overboard imo.

Edit: The bully would probably despise any form of authority and become antisocial. And by antisocial, I don't mean the way most people misuse that word.

Any proof of that ?[/STRIKE]

I think the teacher is wrong and he/she should be punish.
Maybe one or two kids (the victims) slaps the bully is ok but not 24 kids.

Well for one, 24 kids slapping 1 kid. Sounds like bullying. But that's just me. Secondly, because not only by being exposed to bullying, but also by being the bullies(in my opinion), it kind of sets a "foot-in-the-door" phenomenon where their justification for using violence might be skewed. It may teach them that if someone has wronged them or wronged another person, they're allowed to do the same. If they're not feeling so great, they could take it out on others using violence.

And at such a young age, their brains soak up information like sponges, especially from authoritative figures.

Perhaps I should have reworded what I said. I'm not saying they will become bullies, but they're more likely to.

I did crossed out my question.
I thought the kids for older and the slapping shouldn't be painful.

But on a more serious note there must be something really fucking wrong with this teacher.

She should be charged with criminal assault not just a misdemeanor.

Replace the 6 year olds with 26 year olds and slapping with spanking.

But seriously, the teacher has the right intention but poor plan. The school should not be responsible if they discipline correctly. They placed two adults in the classroom for safety, unfortunately, one is an idiot and the other has no balls.

The school or teacher should never touch a child. If that's the way they teach then they are in the wrong profession.

As a teacher, I am appalled by her actions. Never tell a child that it is ok to hit someone. They still learning to understand what is right and wrong at this stage.

When I first started out as an educator, I had this kid who kept pissing in his pants (probably out of fear because I am quite strict). Every single day for the next two weeks. Imagine the stench. I was very annoyed at him and told him that if he doesn't want to go to the toilet, nobody here will help him anymore and all we will do is laugh at him. So I instructed the class to laugh at him.

It worked. The kid got so embarrassed (like pissing his pants in public isn't embarrassing enough), he stopped completely. My other students, however, thought that it was fine to laugh at other people's misfortunes. I could actually see a change in how they think and respond to embarrassing situations their friends went through. So damage control and everything worked out in the end.

Children definitely look to adults as moral compasses. You hit a child, they will think it is ok to hit a child.

As a teacher,

Time to get biblical and break out the begets.

Violence begets violence. It's funny, that a thread full of gay men can see this and at the same time gay men and women are banned in several states from adopting children.

How are the kids ever going to learn what's right and wrong if all they have to guide them is fucked up employees of the state and idiot parents who can't even recognize the reality of the day. This world is so fucked.

Can we please just have some kind of major health hazard and push the reset button. Zombie apocalypse, I summon thee.
