Teenager killed for being gay.

I read the story of this guy who killed some other guy who parked his car on his sidewalk, and also the guy's entire family. Then, when the cops came to arrest him he resisted arrest and shot like 3 cops. Eventually, when he was arrested and sent to court, he managed to slit the judge's throat with a shard of glass he had managed to conceal somehow. Some guys are just super-violent psychos, and for as long as they breathe they will keep hurting and killing people. The fear of legal punishment that works to dissuade normal people don't work on these guys, because their brains function differently and they are almost completely fearless.

this young boy's life has come to an end - and killing him will accomplish something worth while? name something positive that will be achieved by killing this young boy?????

I say part of his punishment should be community service at the nearest GLBT center, for many many years. Have him clean toilets for the people he hates.
 
Having taught sixth, seventh and eighth grade recently for a few years, I can tell you that this is a problem of sexual identity and the tensions kids that age feel and experience is critical.

We give little support to kids who are realizing they are gay and help them very little to understand their sexual identity issues. Others who are afriad or angry get no help at all. This is the sad state of things all too often in our schools. Frankly, I am convinced that we have not made all that much progress in the last 100 years.

There is no easy answer to this problem, but not seeking an answer is not acceptable. I believe we must respond with our best efforts societally to help 10 to 18 year olds come to terms with their sexual identities.

Well the boy who killed him is about to find out what it's like to be a pitcher or catcher.

Even in Juvie, he'll have lots of time to think about things when he's in the showers.
 
i knew he is not going to be sentenced to death, i was just angry seeing the news. some people just don't have a sense of humour.
at least he should be put into prison and get butt-raped.
 
I wouldn't blame the kid who shot the boy. Like said in the above responses, a 14 year old is still learning a lot about life. When you are that young, most of the time you tend to have weird and obnoxious thoughts that you does not understand yet the consequences. There is a lot to blame for the parents of that kid though. You should always raise your child with a better attitude toward thing, a much nicer and harmonius personality, and ofcourse "violent" is never the solution. One of the question I am concern is.... how the hell does a 14 year old kid be able to get a gun, when he is being raise in a nice and decent family?

Because it is easy to. Probably Dad kept a few around the house to remind him he was a patriotic real man.

Trent0n - I'm not sure that it would solve anything. It just happens that it occurred in school. He could have been shot on the side walk or at home. I don't think school uniforms would have made a difference.

Not directed at me, but here's my opinion - I believe kids can be rehabilitated, however not for adults. I'm not sure at what age different areas of the brain stop developing but I'm sure it has a lot to do with it.

You may not be able to blame him for being homophobic, but you honestly can't blame a 14 year old for shooting another human being in cold blood?

This isn't some first grader, this kid was FOURTEEN years old, more than old enough to know right from wrong.
 
something liek that happened here a few years back it was all over the news i think they even showed something about it on CNN i'm close friends of both people of were involved in that shit the guy that was killed was friends with my ex best friend Chelsea and then the other guy who killed him was friends with this one chick i know yea it was fucked up


i just wish people wasnt so cruel just because somebody is different we were all put on this earth to all co exist not kill one another because of who or what we are

I wouldn't wish that upon anyone. I've seen first hand young people (and old) get abused in prison- it amounts to torture. This kid committed a crime and should be punished, obviously; but wishing him a life of torture, rape and pain is nothing but barbaric.

Prison rape, and abuse of inmates in general is nothing to laugh about, or wish upon anyone. I know many people (including some here) could care less about inmates or people that kill others... but remember- it's not just murderers and rapists that get raped/tortured in prison- people in prison for simple possession of marijuana or those convicted of property crimes suffer the same fate.

Stop prison rape.

Thanks for taking time to post this Paathogen. For some reason, it's ok in our society to joke about prison rape or claim that bad guys sent to prison deserve it. Beyond the comments being made here by the peanut gallery, far too many people in positions of power in government (including certain prison officials) see it as funny and acceptable too. Inmates are sentenced to do time in prison away from society, not to be tortured by fellow prisoners. Nobody deserves to have that happen to them.

Even more disturbing than those in prison for lesser crimes like drug possession or theft, are those who are in prison for crimes they didn't even commit. Being locked up for something you didn't do is bad enough, but to be tortured for it is even worse.

this is my way of expressing my anger toward the murderer. do i really care if he will get ass raped? i don't. i just feel sorry for the dead gay kid and hopefully the murderer will get the punishment he deserves.
i am used to the fact that few people understand my language. i talk way too different. :twisted:
 
You're evading my question. I wasn't the one who suggested he be made to serve the GLBT community.

Do we take no consideration at all for the actions of a person who took adult actions with a less-than-adult mind?

Do we take this life and throw it under the jail without any further consideration?

I wonder if there's any possibility the murderer was afraid of being gay himself, or worried that he was becoming gay, and so externalized the problem?

Sorry; I just feel sorry for this kid...As has been said, 14-year-olds are not the most rational of thinkers...
