So who is playing this?

I still play Tekken Tag for PS2, which is about 10 years old now but still one of the best games ever made.

Tekken 6 seems cool cus you can customize people's attires. Only thing that annoys me is the stages have walls now. Maybe it's something I'm just not used to cus I played the older Tekken games but I hate being trapped in a wall and getting battered with combos.

Paul is also still the cheapest son of a bitch and I am horrible at playing this game on an arcade joystick. :mad: I was pretty much embarrassed at how badly I lost.
 
I plan on getting it. Besides those few things is the game any good?
 
It's very good, and the things I mentioned aren't really problems. I'm just not used to game that much because I'm used to Tekken Tag where there are no walls or objects in the scenery to get in your way.

Oh and I knew Tekken 5 and I think 4 had walls but I never played those games that much so I still wasn't used to the walls.

when you mentioned you'd started a thread in tech talk i was like, "Tech Talk?"...in the 5 or so years i've been here, i'd never ventured onto this forum!oops!

don't really mind the wall thing, but i was high as hell the 1st time i played, and falling through the floor kinda tripped me out for a sec. wasn't expecting that shit.

it's weird--cuz i rarely used the character, but i'd really like to see Kunimitsu make a return to the series. Jun too, but i guess that'd be kinda pointless with Asuka having her moveset.
 
I'm loving it. I haven't played Tekken since number three so I was surprised at how much harder it was. From what I could tell they took DOAs Wall System, VF5's Ranking system and Soul Calibur 4' cutomisation system (which is most obvious with Yoshimitsu) but they all work well and don't feel tacked on.

That said. Azazel - CHEAP BOSS. Almost as bad as SF4s Seth.

I thought this should be in Entertainment and have done as you suggested. You will get more response in Entertainment. But I feel kinda dirty for reporting it. :confused: I don't like to tell tales.

There are some comments on T6 in the What Are You Playing? thread.

I was underwhelmed with it. I expected more. But it is still a good game.

Kunimitsu wasn't in Tekken 6? Damn that sucks. That's my bitch! I used to own with her in Tekken Tag.

I like Christy. I don't think there is any difference between her and Eddy but she's a lot sexier and looks like J. Lo. My favorites have always been King, Nina, Bryan, Jin and Julia (she's better than Michelle and has cool side throws {a hurricanrana and a running bulldog}).

I'm very good with Paul but fuck that guy. He's way too cheap.

I always loved tekken

Ad yeah thats a good thing you can customize people's attires... there's also new characters, and it seems like even if there's walls it's still an "open space"
 
its good...me and my bf have been playing for a good little bit now....its good...though it sucks that "Scenario/Campaign mode" is one player only (and has horrible horrible horrible targeting)

and Azazel has to be the cheapest boss this side of Jinpachi....at least he didn't block half my hits with a magic shield

oh no...he's worse than Seth....give Seth a shield (that can stop your combo in the middle of it), stunning attacks, ground attacks and lots of other cheap ass shit....and you have Azazel
 
Seth is a piece of shit. I remember fighting him and to unlock a certain hidden character you have to beat it with everyone in the game. Me and my friend had to try like 20 times until we could beat it with Dhalsim.



Anyway, back to Tekken. I've never played the last boss. I've only played against other people and everyone at the arcade I played it was much better than me so I got owned each time.

The custom attires are really pretty sweet. That was a really cool idea. I wish Street Fighter does something like that in the future.

Apparantly there is speculation about new character Leo.... it's unknown if that is a female or a fem boy... or possibly a transsexual.
 
It's been a long time since I played Tekken. I always played as Nina Williams - this will have been in the PS1 days.

Anyway, I plan on picking this up very soon. Can't wait to find out who I play best with.

Is there a character like Talim from Soul Caliber?

I was reading comments on youtube and there was a debate on Leo's gender. Then I find out that in the U.S. version Leo is labeled as a he but the Japanese one never specified a gender for him/her.


What black ninja are you talking about? As for King, he's always kicked ass cus of his wrestling moves. He's one of my favorites.
 
there was black ninja named raven in tekken. he was supposed to be like blade. he was actually one of mt favorite characters. as for leo, you know the japanese are crazy about androgynous ambiguous pretty types, that doesnt fly here so leo was made to be a he
