Tekken 6

Back in the days I was a HUGE fan of Tekken 3...

I used to play with Xiaoyu, Eddy, Julia, Jin & Panda/kuma dunno which one are back in Tekken 6 Tho...

everyone is in Tekken 6 (just like with Tekken 5).....well...except for Kunimitsu and the end bosses (Devil, Angel, Ogre, Unknown, Jinpachi)
 
I wonder why they decided to leave out Kuni. I guess she wasn't that popular of a character... oh well there are more than enough new ones to make up for her being gone.

Kunimistu was fairly awesome, she reminded me a lot of Taki from SoulCal, maybe they just thought she was too like Yoshi and cut her (though that wouldn't explain why Christie and Anna are still in).

Yoshimitsu's main costumes suck btw, I'm modding them before I go anywhere him. But I'm having far too much fun right now smacking the shit out of everyone with Kazuya.

P.S. TTT came out after I went from PS2 to Xbox, I had it's spiritual daddpy, Dead Or Alive. Counter-ific!

From what I could tell they took DOAs Wall System, VF5's Ranking system and Soul Calibur 4' cutomisation system (which is most obvious with Yoshimitsu) but they all work well and don't feel tacked on.

That said. Azazel - CHEAP BOSS. Almost as bad as SF4s Seth.

I do not understand. Maybe I am one of the few people who knew how to handle Seth; there were very characters who struggled against Seth when I playing against him. Anyway, I'll probably have to pick up my copy of Tekken 6 within the next month; it's been a year since I've played Tekken 5, but I really did enjoy the game. So, if Tekken 5 is any indicator as well as the video posted above, it should be pretty fun.

Seth's main cheapness is two fold: His damage is too high (except when unlocked he's a pussy) and his game behaviour changes completely after his first KO. The teleportin (and EX piledriver) make him near impossible to beat with charge characters on higher difficulties because his directionchanges nullifies the charge. Ive only been able to beat him with Shoken characters.

PS: I loved Taki from Soul Caliber. I wish Tekken would let us see Kunimitsu, Yoshimitsu and King's faces.

Seth is just the WORST!!! ended up obliterating 2 controllers--he pissed me off so much that i ended up tossin' 'em across the room. what really sucks though, is that it took me FOREVER to enable all the characters(Gouken's overrated), but then i ended up having to trade in my PS3, and didn't think to back everything up.

Azazel's actually not all that bad...nowhere near as bad as Seth, or Tekken's "Nancy". i've yet to beat that bitch. closest i came was with Baek and Hwoarang. haven't tried any of the new characters yet. been sticking with Hwoarang, Baek, Xiayou, and the Mishima boys. can't believe i haven't touched Nina yet. or Christie and Eddie. used to kill with those 2 on Tekken 5.

and Sultan, all your Tekken Tag talk has really got me missing my PS2. that game was the shit!!!as for 6's Leo, i thought they'd finally confirmed her to be female. maybe i'm wrong though. they SOOOOO need to do a sequel for the PS3.
 
Tekken Tag is so much fun if you have three other people to play with and a multitap for your PS2.

Thanks to SoulCal 4's customisations you could take Yoshi's mask off - he had a wooden head carved onto a joist. Think Mokujin meets Pinnochio.

I love Marduk (or just love looking at him:p)..all the added characters from Tekken 4 have their own charm, but Steve...I never got used to him (only one kick..1 KICK!)

and Christie feels different in Tekken 6...Eddy too...at least it seems like they were trying to differentiate the two this time around....like how Anna and Nina are similar but different in some areas
 
fucking Jack6 SUCKS taking on Azazel--or maybe it was just me. took me like, 8 tries to end the game with him. still haven't tried out Scenario Campaign yet...

Xiayou would be the shit, if her attacks did more damage.

took me a minute to get into it, but i'm actually kinda liking SC now. started playing to build up some quick fight money, but i've been playing it more than the actual fighting. best characters to use for it have been Hwoarang and Law. controlling Nancy for one stage was frustrating, but it got the job done..|

feeling the same about SC with me too....though I still hate its crap targeting and how the enemy AI gangbangs you to death in a corner if Alisa dies on you

one thing i'm still hating though, is the absurdly small text. i thought it was just me having trouble with it, but i guess it's pissing alot of people off. i mean, i hope they weren't telling me anything vital...after awhile i gave up trying to read that shit and just skipped the cinematics:grrr:

i haven't used her in the actual tournament, but from what i've seen Alisa's a total bad ass. unfortunately that ends up biting you in the ass down the road.

spent the last hour trying to get past what i think is the final stage, with no luck. CHEAPEST BOSS EVER!!!!

Tekken 6 seems cool cus you can customize people's attires. Only thing that annoys me is the stages have walls now. Maybe it's something I'm just not used to cus I played the older Tekken games but I hate being trapped in a wall and getting battered with combos.

Paul is also still the cheapest son of a bitch and I am horrible at playing this game on an arcade joystick. :mad: I was pretty much embarrassed at how badly I lost.

Oh how I love Tekken 4 and Tekken Tag..I am also loving the old classic games again like Contra,Double Dragon,Mortal Combat and Street Fighter..

heh...I know what you mean...I hate having to sit so damn close the screen to figure out what they are saying...but I the Tekken storyline (though Jin going "evil" is a stretch)...unfortunately I have a SD tv...I hope its better on HDTV
