Oh come on! This thread has well and truly run its course and should be closed. There's been nothing of any value whatsoever posted for at least the last ten pages. I'm actually rather annoyed that this post of mine has now bumped it back up to the top of Hot Topics.

If you don't have anything fun or constructive to add on the subject, stop clutching your pearls and do everyone and apparently yourself a favour and just ignore it.

There is really nothing as annoying as having people parade around with placards complaining.

Maybe, but most of them also run their course after a few days or a few pages then disappear off the first page and eventually we never see them again.

This one, however, keeps hanging around like a bad smell! It went off the rails pages and pages ago and is now just a pile of silly, pointless posts by Jubbers who are either trying (unsuccessfully) to be amusing or to get 'one-up' on previous posters .... a "fitting homage" to you-know-who indeed!

Never have gotten the notion that "threads should be closed" when they aren't bitter fights or some other disruptive behavior.

What's so hard about not opening it? Is it like some kind of bug that people just can't ignore and have to keep howling about.

If you don't like the thread, leave it. Nothing is being harmed by its protraction. It's not like its taking up all the oxygen in the room or anything.

Honestly I agree, I don't know why just this one thread gets judged as if it has the prefix of "on topic discussion" and is about something super cereal, if I may use the slang.

I just spent (wasted) a whole Monday afternoon plowing through this thread from beginning to end. The one thing that surprises me is that, around the middle mark of the 1300+ postings here, Sex Kitten (who we all now know is merely another incarnation of the OP Enchanted) asked for people to PM him to share some information he had about Andreus. What that information was or why Sex Kitten made the request was never explained.

Why the interest of Enhanted/Sex Kitten/Waffles in this long-dead character Andreus baffles me, especially given E/SK's very self-absorbed personality.
 
I think that ESK wanted to feed on the life force essence that was Andreus.

Just like months from now.....people will keep coming back to this thread to be able to say that they touched the hand of someone who touched the hand who was touched by the hand of Andreus.

I come back to this site after a long long time and here's Andreus again. I remember him. We've had some quarrels. Btw, he claimed he could speak Arabic, but the sample he provided was jibberish.

He claimed a lot of things, but if he ever touched on a subject that I had studied it was clear that he actually knew very little.

The ability to use Wikipedia, google, and google translate does not really pass for knowledge these days. :lol:
