Elvin is real. Met him at a couple JUB meets and went out with he and gmoney a couple times.
Stacy is real. I met her in St Louis. She's quite a charming lady She was there when someone desecrated the Pope.

AGREED! I'm surprised that some weekends don't have three or four JUB meets going on, out of perhaps 40 to 100 per year worldwide, but instead...nothing in one-and-a-third years now.

I somehow missed that thing about the Pope, but I heard that somebody did "something" to the picture (which was, as I recall, behind one end of a long table, near Stacy and a couple others), now about five years later I find out what they did...

I remember who you're talking about. He was a "college wrestler" and a medical student. He used to post pictures of himself and his boyfriend who was Indian or something. It all came to a screaming witch hunt when Elvin found the website for the college wrestler whose pictures he was using and then traced it back to the guys facebook.

I can't for the life of me remember his name, but I remember the fall out when he was outted as a sock puppet. There was something in JUB back in those days that made it so vicious when someone everyone drooled over was found to be a fake.

This whole Andreus story reminds me of another forum I was a member of and a poster who was a lovely kid. He was diagnosed with cancer and died and the forum went into a bloody meltdown. About 2 weeks after he died his cousin joined the forum and told us all these wonderful stories about how much the forum had meant to the kid, and out of nowhere he disappeared, only to return a month or so later a fucked up scrambled egg after spending the time in "gay conversion therapy".

Long story short, turned out the original poster had never existed. Both were characters in this persons mind. He had a wonderful time building up one to die and then creating the new character to see what was going on.

Reading this thread, the similarities are mind blowing.

As for Andreus, it would seem to be the general consensus that he was a Fake.

However, I'm still not buying into that. Well ... at least not Completely.

"Sixth" made a good point about the last name thing with Mitri. However, I've already said I never knew of last names until BostonPirate brought it up. As strong as a Character that Andreus was, perhaps he convinced his younger brother to keep up the Thanos name to protect their Real identity here in The States?

All right! I'll admit I'm quite biased when it comes to this topic! I truly Enjoyed, and still Cherish, my interactions with the Persona of Dreu! We didn't always agree! "He" pissed me off a Lot of times! And, yet, we managed to continue our interaction through respect for each others' views. And, those discussions, and sharing of "personal stuff", extended beyond the confines of this site, JUB!

As I've already said, Andreus was Real to ME! And, IF "He" was a Creation of a Brilliant "Puppeteer", I was still interacting with an Amazing Individual!

Whoever "He" may have been, or not, I'm still quite Grateful for the Experience!

All the more reasons to ... no matter what ...

Thankfully this is 2012 and not 1995 for those of you like me who are old enough to remember being on the net in its primitive days... where having a scanner was like owning your own tuxedo and so pics were sparse and frequently stolen/re-used by others.

If any question ever *seriously* came up it's not like this isn't a day and age where any of us couldn't just up and make a youtube or something saying "oh hi my name is x from such and such forum" lol. I've never been seriously witch hunted anywhere as a fake but if I were that's what I'd probably do.

Is it just me or do these comments seem strange? A guy is generally considered to be fake AND an asshole to boot, and you want him back?

The only thing I remember of Andreus is that I would avoid him because he seemed to have some bully tendencies but I don't remember any of this shit, of him dying or a brother or any of that.
