Lots of couples or pairings on the planet that some might conventionally see as "incompatible". The 'ole "opposites attract" thing.
Yes, I'm a sure a younger twink might see wisdom, experience, life lessons, etc. in a "Daddy" figure. Seen as quite common sometimes in gay dating circles often for a young gay twink to take up with an older, more experienced guy, who shows them the ropes of a gay relationship or even the city/town's local gay "scene" or "people to know" - not exactly a "Sugar Daddy" vibe, but some aspects of that. Plus, lots of people in the world have their "Daddy issues" - gay twinks, might be a higher proportion of that - couldn't connect with their own Fathers, Dads not around, "coming out" went poorly, etc. Fundamentally everyone needs love and affection - and connection. Plus being uber-horny at a twink age (moreso than any other age) doesn't hurt, in the mix. And maybe getting spoiled with money, lavish presents, etc. from a wealthier "Daddy" type.
What's the "Daddy" get out of such a relationship? Someone fresh-faced reminding them of their own youth, maybe. Impulsiveness, less responsibilities, less "established" life, shaking up middle-age or older viewpoints/habits, etc. It's well-known young guys in that particular period of their life are admired in art (Michelangelo's "David" as an example), literature, etc.
I am sometimes surprised at the dating combinations, like you, of a twink say in the 18-25 age range or so dating someone in their 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s even. There's probably mutual benefit to each person in that relationship - not exactly "using" each other, but knowing they're not exactly making a lifetime commitment there. Some such relationships do continue - "love is love" theory - for a while and don't fizzle out, though, and the onetime twink who's now a little older is with the "Daddy" figure on his eventual deathbed. As long as everyone is legal and consenting about it, no issue! Life's short.
