Terrified at prospect of losing my HAIR

Rather than the image, I would be worried about your character, because - and sorry for the harsh words - you come off vain as fuck.

"vain fuck" is in violation of this thread's no-flame policy. This guy's been dealt a tough hand and he needs support, not finger-wagging!

First of all, no one is genetically designed to be fat.

Not so! For example, people from colder environments, especially ones with a history of famine (think Russia) have had selective pressures put on them that favors an efficient fat storage phenotype: more of their calories get turned to fat to provide against those winters when the grain runs out, the moose don't run, etc.

An acquaintance of mine, a cardiologist no less, exercises rigorously, does Iron Man triathlons, and still has a BMI of 35 or so, i.e. clinically obese. You know what? He's not in the least worried: blood-pressure low-normal, lipids fine, etc. As he explains it "I come from hardy Russian-Jewish stock. I'm built for Siberia!"

Contemporary society places a lot of stock in body-image. Women have always known this and it has become increasingly the case for men, gays especially. Given that, I see nothing excessively vain in this person's cosmetic concerns. To be a bald, overweight gay is to be sexually exiled to the Gehenna of 'daddies' of a certain weight. Tragic if you're not into daddies, which most aren't.

That´s it, join a gym, start running, have more salads and less meat, chips, french fries etc. Even if you work out, if you don´t focus on getting rid of the fat in your body, you will build muscle under the actual fat and you´ll appear to be even fatter.

Well join a gym for sure. It's probably not going to make you significantly thinner but it will make you healthy, and healthy is attractive -- 'the glow of health', etc. Building muscle will reduce your body fat since muscle is more metabolically active than fat. By no means say 'no' to the meat: eat muscle to build muscle. Be aware of your daily protein intake: eat approx 2 grams of protein/Kg/day (or 1gram/pound) if you want to build muscle. Know the protein content of various foods, especially meats. Also use supplements: whey-based ones are the best. Avoid excessive starch, 'white' starch especially: rice, bread, pasta. But don't cut it out altogether: your brain runs on sugar.

Second: unless you want to work as a model (except if it´s for a bear site?), I highly doubt someone gives a shit about you getting bald when they want to hire you.

Unfortunately not true in the least. If you have the money, consider hair-replacement. Be advised that Propicia (finisteride) is an anti-androgen. It can reduce your libido and make you depressed.

You need to stop comparing yourself to others, this ¨he looks better than me¨ crap should finish with highschool.

Where? Cloudcookooland High?

Also, body hair. Do you have any idea how popular this became (again) after the twink-image fad finally died (or almost died)?

Back hair especially! Hairy backs are hot!!! Every twink I know is rubbing their's with Rogaine!

If you have so much money to waste on hair transplant (which... really?), do it
.

Not a waste in the least

But I think it would be so much better to accept it and move on.

That's easy for you to say!

Ok, ´vain as fuck´ means very vain. Not vain-fuck. If you can´t distinguish, your problem, but don´t accuse me of violating any policy because I didn´t.

Another difference is between being fat and being a big man, but because of muscles and height. Fat is ok, as long as it doesn´t reaches abnormal levels. Do you think all people in Siberia are the way you describe your friend?

And another difference is between no-meat and less-meat. In case you responded to my quote.

Of course, vain-fucks (yes, I said it now) are all into image and not so much into the minds of whoever is next in their bed. But don´t you worry, you live in your world where all is black or white, because really, in spite of what you have read on some twink-forum, people really do not give a shit about hair loss. Or back hair. Or any body hair or lack of it. There are people and people, each one with his likes and kinks. Unless you live in a place filled with idiots where they are all the same. Go downtown and take a look at all the people there.

Oh and yeah, a LOT of people are into daddies. You have no idea...

“Thus far mutations in about eight genes are known to cause obesity in humans. But these mutations account for under five percent of the obesity in our society, and certainly are not, by themselves, responsible for the current obesity epidemic, since the mutation rate in these genes could not have changed dramatically during the past twenty years,” says Dr. Joseph Majzoub, the chief of the division of endocrinology at Boston Children’s Hospital and an author on the Science paper.

Possible yes, but HIGHLY UNLIKELY his weight has anything to do with genetics. Genetic evolution, natural selection, and mutations take thousands of years to materialize as a recognizable phenotype, and usually only in a society that is extremely closed off from other gene pools, like the amazon and other tribes not touched by civilization. I think AAGGII is basically right on this one. Use the gym, and consume less calories than you burn. It is simple math, although as humans we tend to complicate that.

And yes society places a lot on body image, but hair is usually not associated as an essential for beauty or desirability in men.
What is included is:
height
muscles
strong facial features
large hands
good skin
big dick

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Physical_attractiveness#Male_physical_attractiveness

So Ill agree with AAGGII on that too...

Thank you so much for standing up for me.

LOLz.

Huh? To me it really is a no-brainer that obesity or weight-gaining are deep-rooted genetic factors.

Have you sifted through the pages of online stores lately? Name me one bald model. I'm bringing models into this because that's the standardized idea of beauty. Unreachable, photoshopped in many cases, but many ordinary guys are up there even if they're not modelling for a living.

What is included is:
height
muscles
strong facial features
large hands
good skin
big dick

Forgot to add, I have a small dick. Guess I'll be the niche of the niche for the rest of my life.

It is not a no-brainer. Read the article on the link I posted and you can enlighten yourself...obesity and weight gain are more a product of environment, habit, and lifestyle than anything. Genetics determines more the difference between a size 30 waste and a size 35 waste, and 35 is by no means obese. What reputable information can you cite to the contrary?

A simple google search could show you that... Christian Monzon. And there are dozens more. Hair has very little to do with being a male model it is more about all of those things I listed above which make a male physically attractive according to clinically tested standards. Think about this: There are some models who are bald, but there are NO models under 5'11" , NO models with weak chins, and NO out of shape models... this means that that article is more accurate that your judgement while flipping through catalogs.

If you have a small dick, work on something else you can change, like your weight, skin health, confidence and be confident in something you like about yourself rather than wasting time and energy on things you ultimately cannot, as propecia is not working for you. And please stop comparing yourself to male models because there really aren't that many guys who look like that walking around.

And you do sound vain as fuck (aka very vain) for a 27 year old man. You should maybe consider what some of us have said and reflect on why you continued to put so much emphasis on a singular aspect of body image at your age, instead of growing into a confidence in improving what you have. I can honestly say I don't know any men past the age of 23 that actually compare themselves to models from a magazine...continue to evolve man.
