Hi! I've been busy and it's all been good.
I saw a New York Yankees game Monday. Well, most of it. I was late. Didn't allow quite enough time, and transit delays. I wasn't really rooting for the Yankees, but...my favorite Yankee, DJ LeMahieu, hit a home run. And my second favorite Yankee, Juan Soto, hit TWO. Maybe I kinda like the Yankees. They won, 9-1.
Thursday I went to Atlantic City. I stayed overnight at Caesars. It was a nice room with a view of the chandelier and the hotel atrium. In other words, not much of a view. But I made money so I cannot complain.
Tonight I'm going to a party.

I understand you're going to Chicago soon, and you plan on taking in a hockey game in Salt Lake City later in the year. You're certainly not someone who sits home all the time and keeps going, "I wish I could do this and that..." you're out there doing it.

I fly to Chicago Wednesday! Northalsted Market Days are the 10th & 11th. I have to look at the schedule to catch my favorite musical performers. I plan to skip Big Freedia: I saw them perform here and a little twerking went a very long way.

Yesterday was my birthday! My housemate got me cake and ice cream. There's leftovers for a few days.

My agenda for Thursday? Buy some syrup and finish the leftover pancakes in my refrigerator. Try to finish my book (a cute English cat story) and start another (there's a few choices). Enjoy the sunshine. Be thankful (that one's easy).

I learned something. Pancakes made in advance aren't as fluffy. Next time I'll keep the batter and cook when ready. They weren't awful and I did eat them all anyway

Have a great time at pride in Jersey City! As for pancakes, I always make the batter right when I'm going to make them. I've found that if you cut the smallest recipe on the box in half, that makes just enough for one good-sized pancake to eat right then. Like if they say use 1 cup of mix, I just use a half a cup, and mix it with 3/8 cup of water or whatever is half of what they say to use. Then I usually add blueberries or blackberries or whatever fruit you have on hand. Or you can use nuts, they always work well.
