As expected, Boris and the Conservatives have won the election.

They can now hand Putin another victory by exiting the EU with no deal and plunging their country into recession.

Just get on with it.

Hopefully this is the end of Corbyn and the other mealy mouthed, wishy-washy party leaders who made this election possible.
 
Last thing when I think of Corbyn is mealy mouthed, but the UK definitely fucked itself yesterday. Just pathetic, but congrats Boris... I guess someone had to win the booby prize of an election, so might as well be you.
 
Well I for one was out last night celebrating an absolutely fantastic result. Finally, after three years of nonsense, parliament will stop frustrating the 2016 referendum decision to leave (not crash out of) the EU. The Spartists have been seen off and will not be able to deliver their tax and spend, nationalise everything 1970's economic madness. The Liberals, who advocated simply ignoring the referendum result, have been largely and rightly ignored at the ballot box and the idiot woman who led them has happily lost her seat. The Scots are bleating about independence, but fuck them. Scotland represents about 8% of the UK's population and to take any notice of them would be to allow the tail to wag the dog. They had an independence referendum in 2014, voted to remain in the UK and will be leaving the EU with the rest of the country next month like it or not.

The pound is on the up, the economy is in safe hands, Boris is in Downing Street, God is in his heaven and everything is alright with the world.

sounds like a lot of what is happening here---a weak left leaves plenty of room for the conservatives to move in---and set up house for several years.

I'm sure Boris is no where near as criminal a man as the crime wave which has been unleashed in the White House. Its unreal what this mobster has got away with while his friends, lawyers, campaign manager all sit in jail.

The only reason he's fighting so hard for re-election is because, as soon as he's not president anymore, the wolves can move in.
 
The only silver lining I can find is that with such a large majority BJ can ignore some of the more extreme voices within the party. I hold on to very little hope though.
 
Looks like people are getting fed up with globalist elites telling them what they can or cannot do in their own country. The people voted for Brexit quite a while ago, it is high time they finally exit. I would love to see the EU collapse under its own weight now.

There's a school of thought which suggests that the EU wanted to make it as difficult and disadvantageous for the UK to leave as possible in order to discourage other countries from leaving too. There are a number of countries which might try their luck, including Italy and the Netherlands.
 
Yup. Nothing like Balkanizing Europe to make the takeover of countries by Russia and the US easier and easier.
