Thanks America

Of course, he's completely oblivious to it all. I can imagine him Tweeting how much the British people love him.

No, the step child that neither of you want

I think that with all the shit the globalists are flinging at him, he behaved with class.

Diplomacy is a class act, but one the current president does not perform. Constantly berating our allies and making personal insults to the heads of state isn't perceived as classy by any country, leader, or people. It is correctly interpreted as unstable, unreliable, and unrespectable. Mr. Trump is repeatedly putting other heads of state in the demeaning position of staging obvious shams of unity when the deep division is all too apparent.

The policy differences between the US and our allies are not news to anyone. The ill treatment is. And the most degrading aspect both to the American citizenry and to the world is the incessant petulance of a man who cannot be content to say his bit in the public and be done. Every morning and night he races to the internet to gossip about his opponents like some insecure 13 year old girl who must assassinate the character of her rivals to ensure her entourage "likes" her.

At the same time, he has launched trade wars with allies and foes alike, harming American interests worldwide commercially. If he survives these blunders in the next election, democracies the world over will be re-thinking the real threat of populism. Inevitably, like in the Korean meetings, he quickly and loudly declares miracles publicly, even while the other side is announcing polar opposite views of the success of talks.

It simply adds up to a leader who is not believed, is known to lie publicly and bluster, and who cannot be counted on to lead.

^ For a genius, he really doesn't know anything at all. Either he has a very short memory or nobody bothers to tell him anything about protocol. But then, in his mind, there is nobody in the world more important than he is.

God, if that's the worst thing he did at court, we dodged a bullet.

Royal protocol is a bit much for those who do not have a monarchy, but due respect is due respect, and society comes together by agreement to respect.

I will say that the president seemed to be aware that he had gotten ahead and waited, so he apparently tried to be civil if not proper.

I don't necessarily expect anyone to walk behind the Queen but to make a 92 year old have to sidestep you makes me fume

That was painful to watch. I had not heard about that until this thread.
