. . . I now own the first 5 seasons of Stargate SG-1 on DVD.

I've seen movies I've always wanted to see. I'm replacing my old cassette tape collection with CDs.

Food tastes better. Everything smells better. Life is better.

Don't give up, guys. If you're in the battle to quit smoking, it's worth it! (Remember, I gave it up after almost 40 years!)

Yay! I noticed the same changes when I quit. Not the Stargate stuff, but just having more money. Also whenn I get hard now, I get ROCK hard. It's like a steel rod. I love it!

I'm getting a new lawn mower tomorrow woohoo!!!! And yes everything is better without smoke

You're only 27; I'm 46, and I chain-smoke almost continually, but I still get as hard as 'a steel rod'. I don't want it to get any harder; I imagine it would be painful! :help:

Life without smoking is great. Two of our friends have just quit after 30 years of smoking....and they also are so happy to finally be free.

I'll suggest SG dvd's as a reward, although I think they'll prefer the rock hard bonus.

The final episode was a little lame though, didn't you think?

A pack a day since I was 14. I am now 41 and can't even imagine not smoking.
What would I do?

It was a bit of a let-down until I read interviews by the writers, producers, and directors as to why they did it. Then I liked it more. (Except for the Vala/Daniel thing, of course. I was really hoping for a Mitchell/Daniel/Teal'c threesome.)

You find other things to do. It's not easy, but it's possible. Remember. I smoked almost as long as you've been alive. It can be done.

Seriously, I could quit smoking, all we have to do is lock up my coworkers and five bosses in the big refrigerator while I'm there (work)...:p

Not to smoke is indeed so much better. Congratulations gsdx for winning the battle.

i want to quit, i did last week for a week and on my 21st birthday my mate gave me a carton not knowing i quit. the bad thing about smoking, is if youve been smoking for 5 years or 50 years, its still got a major grip on you. if i could find a way to get rid the habbit of smoking, then i could give up the addiction i think pretty easily. but then what will i do when i wake up in the morning, or when im walking home from somewhere late at night in the cold.

I used to think that way as well and had tried unsuccessfully several times to quit.

Do you want to know what made it so easy for me to quit? Well, here it is:

Wanting to quit more than I wanted to smoke.

Edited to add: Don't quit because you think you should. Quit because you don't want to smoke anymore.

We have an expression here in Québec, j'arrête de fumer, entre chaque cigarette. ;)
