This can't be healthy for you, Andrew. As badly off as you think you might be, you're just making things worse for yourself. I seriously recommend that you take a voluntary and temporary hiatus from this place and allow yourself to cool down before the management are forced to make your hiatus involuntary and more long-term. Your anger to everyone here is doing much more damage to yourself than you realise.

i'm not talking about this thread andrew. although to be honest i think your complaining about comet in post #4 is borderline baiting but that's not for me to decide.

i am talking about your history of antagonism and near histrionics when you don't get your way. a history that has been evident in pretty much all of your threads and posts.

your behavior the last couple of days leads me to believe that you will continue to push the envelope until you hit that point where you can't go back. but you know what? if that's what you want to do then go for it. you're an adult, you can cope with the consequences.

It was my impression from the OP that he thinks the self-congrats and awards threads are bad FOR THE SITE.

They are really about making the popular feel better. As a result, it makes everyone else feel excluded and less of a part of the site. You know... like in high school!

Also, I'd like to add a Me Claps to stevenavy for bothering to clean up the thread. It's the second I've read today where a mod has made an effort to turn the bad behaviour around here. It's just what we need! The other was Mike herrin (something like that). Thumbs up to both!

Let's see... more than 100 000 of us JUBbers... 15 or so awards... leaves about 100 000 of us out.

Total number out of 100 000 who are not going to get upset about it - probably very close to 100 000. It's a popularity contest, just like the Oscars, There will always be deserving winners, and there will always be undeserving winners while others don't get the vote. Life goes on.
