This morning when i was going to work i heard the song "the great escape" from Boys Like Girls. Oddly enough this song reminded me of my ex so much. I almost started to cry, and for the majority of the day it really got into my head and had me thinking about alot of things. Its almost depressing. The lyrics them selves almost seem like they're talking about a same sex relationship, even though they probably arnt.

Anyways, have any of you heard that one song that reminded you of someone you love alot? If so what is it and why.

If you have never been with guy before, then have you listened to a song that the lyrics almost get you thinking that they are talking about a same sex relationship?

'The Gift' by Seether brings forward a lot of memories from a past relationship. I couldn't listen to that song for the longest time.

Come home by One Republic, Midnight Skies, A Reminder and 8am Departure by The Perishers, The Fear You Won't Fall and What if You by Joshua Radin, Chasing Cars by Snow Parol, To Build a Home by the Cinematic Orchestra, and Changing Colours by The Great Lake Swimmers. All these songs make me think of my guy so I copied them onto a CD for listening to whenever I miss him. They all come from different points in the relationship and have their own significance for me.

"I Feel for You" by Prince.

I sent the guy that I like the lyrics to the song to tell him that I like him. Didn't care, just said that he isn't gay, so I shouldn't expect anything. But whenever I hear that song, I get all depressed and can't stop thinking about him.

When I look at you
I get a warm feeling inside
There's something about the things you do
That keeps me satisfied
I wouldn't lie to you
It's mainly a physical thing
This feeling that I got for you, baby
It makes me wanna sing
I feel for you--i think I love you
I feel for you--i think I love you

(I took out all the parts that said the word "Baby" cuz I would never say that to him.)

Anything by Mika.... and Big Girls Dont Cry by Fergie.... both were huge when we were going out and we flogged them to death (I'm hopeless for that)... I'm only just putting the Mika album back in the player....;)

Funny how music.... and smells bring back memories both good and bad...

Anything by Yello. He was a big fan of the band, so now all songs by Yello remind me of him. I don't cry or get sad, though. They just make me think "Geez, what was I thinking?" :)
