The 2025 New York Auto Show officially opens Friday, 18 April 2025. Wednesday, 16 April and Thursday, 17 April are both Press Days.

Yes, the 2026 new cars are rolling out as this year the New York Auto Show turns 125 years old.

Woah . . . too many SUV's, I'm more of a car guy.

If any interesting highlighted vehicle short vids pop up, I'll share. For now all the videos are hours in length!

My neighbor to the north, Tom Voelk, has been in New York since Wednesday taking in all the press events.
He posted his Auto Show overview video and is heading back to Seattle this weekend.

I'll check in with Tom for any highlight videos of stand out vehicles from the show.

Subaru is on its game! Subaru dominated Press day 1 & 2 at the 2025 New York Auto Show, and now Day One for general admissions has Subaru trying to muscle-out the Korean car brands by showcasing their all new models for 2026. The unsettled nature of import hurdles plus an all-new vehicle lineup gives Subaru a good chance of capturing more customers away from Kia and Hyundai.

Well gang, the writing's on the wall.

My friend Tom Voelk said, "global commerce has firmly shifted to China, for some time now, and the World's automotive press are all attending the 2025 Shanghai International Auto Industry Exhibition".

China is in the driver's seat of world commerce, and manufacturers wanting to remain in business better follow the money trail.

Well this is it from me, I'm throwing in the towel. The New York Auto Show is asleep while all the action has moved to China.
China is firmly in the driver's seat of the World's automotive commerce, so I'll close with a quick post from Ethan Robertson, my China expert!
