who thought that it was hot that all the spartans were in pretty much underwear? Some of them were pretty hot too just themselves...;)

I think going into battle without armor is plain suicide. But of course, it's sensationalized for a mass audience. And as somebody who didn't really find the Spartan men hot, there was no saving grace.

Gerard Butler was perfect.

A lot of prosthetic muscles in that (great) movie, but hey !... who cares ?... if straight guys can appreciate fake boobs...

Anyway : the movie is HUGE, the cast is amazing, the action is incredible... I realized only during the credits that Xerxes was played by Rodrigo Santoro... wow... he is so "different" in this one...

I just have to say how I liked the story... this small country, fighting still the death for its freedom, against a powerful empire with a "god told me" leader... they have to watch it in Irak...

lol he wasnt a "god told me" leader. he was a "i am your supreme god" leader#-o

I love it very much. It was so meaningful. Its about Leadership, Loyalty, Honesty, Integrity, Dignity, Trust, Influencing, Courage, & human values on how to win.I ought to get the dvd to watch it every week. Its just full of values. And if only its suitable for under 18....*sigh*.

I just think it's awesome because it's the perfect type of movie that satiates the whole "masculine" part of me (if there's any left).

I now use quotations from the movie to explain awkward situations.

Non-Spartan: "Vince, why are you doing that?!"
Me: "THIS. IS. SPARTA!"
Non-Spartan:  "You're freaking weird dude. Hey, where'd you wanna eat tonight?"
Me: "TONIGHT, WE DINE IN HELL."
Non-Spartan: ](*,)
