The 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards NOMINATIONS

"Frankie & Alice" was in limited release in November in New york, L.A. and a couple other markets..The Production company rushed to get it in a few theatres so they could play-up a Nomination for Halle...The campaining worked...

FRANKIE & ALICE has a Limited Release date starting Feburary 4th, 2011.

I live in LA and 80% of the time find myself watching the more independent films, such as this due to SAG screenings and overall preference/taste in film...

It hasn't been playing anywhere oddly enough. The posters are finally popping up on Melrose and stuff on storefronts and whatnot, but even that states a limited release starting in February... Hmmm, guess I will have to keep my eyes open and keep checking these next few weeks...

I enjoyed the show a lot with Gervais insulting everyone in a not so subtle way. Truth stings, Robert Downer Jr looked stunned at the 'jail and rehab' jab.

Loved some of the winners. Glee, Network, the Fighter were all great wins for me.

The audience were sooooo unfortable with Gervais' opening monologue, which I thought was hilarious!

As for the winners - excellent choices. Excellent choices.

The only thing the Golden Globes have going for it is as a lead-in to the Oscars, and for some reason a less important Emmy's. So if Ricky Gervais wants to turn it into a sort of upscale Hollywood Roast, I'm all for it. In fact I think it's a direction that might give this silly award some actual purpose. Take a night off in the heavy, and absurd, awards season to realize how silly it all is. Nobody takes the Globes seriously anyway, as perfectly evidenced by Gervais's jab at The Tourist, and Helena Bonham Carter's getup.
Why not have Joan Rivers and co. actually spit their fashion insults to celebrities' faces right there on the red carpet? Ratings would soar. If anything Gervais is doing them a favor.

Gervais is a genius. 'nuff said.

I really can't believe Inception didn't win, though. That guy Chris Nolan couldn't buy himself a top award, it seems - a pity; his work is truly spectacular.

Gervais is what made this watchable.

Hope he got fired so he can do next years Oscars.

Oh that they would give him the stage at the Oscars.

I agree that Inception is a truly remarkable film with the most eye catching effects and storyline imaginable. I am not unhappy that The Social Network won, but would have been just as happy with Inception. The soundtrack from this film should have been the winner. Long time since I have heard a soundtrack as riveting and that fit every single scene, every effect, every nuance.
