the republicans are addicted to hate

they would not have a social or domestic agenda without their rage towards arab americans and gay americans

She has been fired by MSNBC twice, National Review Online once, column dropped after one day by USA Today when they hired her specifically to cover the 2004 DNC. She has also been dropped from many smaller papers who have once hosted her column. It is possible...

I don't support having anybody fired or silenced because of their views or the words they use to express them.

Furthermore, I like knowing where the assholes are standing in the room so I'd just as soon Coulter have a platform for her ideas; makes it easier to know who else thinks that way.

I wish HRC would devote some energy to asking the NAACP what the hell they were thinking in giving an Image award to Isaiah Washington and giving that homophobic liar a standing ovation.

Yes, I guess it's good to keep her out front where everyone can see her for what she is, and she'll cut her throat bit by bit. A lot of people don't agree with that sort of rhetoric and as we've seen, even many conservatives are condemning it. She'll keep losing support. However, she'll always have a core of faithful who will become more hardcore and they'll come to her defense and say this backlash is due to the gay agenda. I do think it's interesting the past few years at how it's becoming unacceptable to use the 'F' word just as it's unacceptable to use the 'N' word. Even though people still oppose gay marriage, they condemn anti-gay behavior and verbal bashing. Ann did say she wasn't anti-gay, although I don't know how truthful she was being.

I do... especially if it's hate language being published or televised for large audiences. No corporation would want to associate her hate with their product.

Oh, also, it wasn't her view that got the heat. But the words she used to incite hatred.

Good response to Andreus, Roland,

The American Conservative Union is as big as it gets in conservative circles. If she pissed them off, I'm afraid Ms. Coulter is going to be "dead to us" in the conservative movement. Of course she will still be hung around our necks as Nazi scum like Mike Savage still are, no matter how unwelcome and antagonistic the reality of them near our tents is.

Glad Coulter and Savage are in your camp and not ours.

I guess she can get her old job back (starring as one of the witches in the road show of MacBeth).
Wouldn't you like to have been a fly on the wall when she was dating Bill Maher? They probably fought so much there wasn't any time for fucking.

Sorry to disagre , but I LOVE Coulter. She is not afraid to speak her mind, and damn the consequences! Thought it was great when she went after that pretty-boy ambulance-chaser. You go, girl!

This is rich

silence the right wing bitch

good one

I think libs love having her around as a punching bag

she like many have many smart and interesting things to say - most of the time

but they can't help themselves sometimes and say things that are outrageous

but to censor her?

I guess some of these conservatives think she hurts more than she helps

perhaps

Who is censoring her?

Anyone who wants to expose him or herself to her hate screeds is welcome to do so at anncoulter.com

And who is she "helping?"

Why do you love her?

She hates you.

It won't happen. Conservatives love her. People like chance1 silently cheer every time she calls a Muslim a raghead since they're too afraid to say things like that in public.

the people who signed the letter above want her censored - want her column pulled

as a conservative writer, she in theory helps promote conservative ideology - her many gaffs have probably made her more of a liability than a help (in getting out the doctrine)

my 2 cents
nothing personal

Damn! I forgot about that! How on earth could two people who are such polar opposites possibly live under the same roof for even one day?

It happens. I knew a guy who drifted into some "Christian" movement that wanted to have the entire book of Leviticus written into federal law... and he married a chick who was a feminist activist in the Roman Catholic church who wanted to be a priest.

Weird. I wonder what their bedroom talk is like.

Republicans may be many things but stupid is not one of them.

Observe the current president and try to type that again without laughing.

Some facts here might help: using a standard method for judging IQ for people who've never taken a test, GWB comes out on par with JFK. He isn't stupid.

What he does with the 40 points he isn't using to be president baffles me, though....

It's not censorship when it's not government, Chance -- it's the same thing as a boycott, just people speaking their mind to others. It's up to the others to act, or not, as they choose.
I sent my own version of the letter, and I don't think she should be censored; I just wanted to tell the people who broadcast her that any self-respecting media outlet wouldn't carry someone like her. But if the government decided to send in the goons and shut her up, I would consider it my duty to go do what I could to stop them, as I would for any of her mirror-images on the Left.

And she isn't conservative; that's an insult to conservatism. She is quite properly called a reactionary, someone who doesn't just want to hang on to what was good in a society, but wants to turn back the clock. I've read a couple of her books, and they are nothing but reactionary. She dredges up some interesting and worthy facts, but for the most part she seems to be pining for the days of J. Edgar Hoover's unrestricted power -- which may be why she likes Bush, who plainly loves that sort of power as well, given the so-called PATRIOT Act.

hear u on the legal definition but bottom line is they are trying to quiet her, censor her - we can split hairs but they want her silenced

they feel she is fodder for liberals - they don't want to be associated with her

she has traditional conservative views if u listen to her

I think she's bright

and likely stirs the pot to make more money

could be wrong but don't think so

Trying to shut her up with popular opinion is just a market force, dude. It's like protesters at Nike protesting the allegedly lousy wages given foreign workers, and promising not to buy any more Nike stuff.
If she'd at least get to be as urbane as Rush, I wouldn't be participating on this. But she deserves a slap on the rear for this last gaffe, and a bite in the market share, or a warning from people who can hurt her distribution, strikes where it counts.
