Really? Just that one?

yea it made me the special man I am today.

but it made me the punk i was when i was young that in turn helped to be the special man i am today.

i guess i was introduced too a lot of different types of music thru the years but london calling was the catalyst i think.

A whole 19 tracks. Wow. They were really proud of themselves, weren't they?

So how does Joan Jett figure into all this?

Grunge arrived a little late here in .za, so I ended up with both of these and Nevermind fighting for my time along with this:

I had a pirate copy of Ten and Vs. back to back on a 90 minute cassette, in fact, which I wore out back in late 1993. When I upgraded to CDs in mid 1994, Ten, Vs. and the new PJ album Vitalogy were 3 of the first 4 that I bought, along with Queen's Greatest Hits Vol1 and 2.

I had started learning guitar - hence the tattoo - around the same time as grunge arrived here, so together those albums boiled me into the guy I am today. But it was Pearl Jam who really fuelled my passion for playing guitar, in much the same way as Depeche Mode's back catalogue had started me learning to play and read music in the first place. I cut my teeth on DM, and Music for the Masses in particular, but I truly began to find myself with Ten and Vs.

this album pretty much had the biggest impact of my life. :p

i brought it after christmas in 99. was happy as hell until my mom found out that i had brought it and :(, she went with me back to the store at willowbrook mall and returned it. got my money back and everything. i was pissed. would have been the second cd i would have brought. ended up buying murda muzik instead then got the infamous cassette later on when my mom decided to buy it for me.

inspired me in many ways positively and negatively. it pretty much made me connect to the inner suffering that i was experiencing @ the time. i wasn't living like a thug or whatever but i was pissed off like one. it was basically me trying to fight back after feeling helpless and like a victim. i knew there was a way that i could grab a hold of that strength but didn't know how. took me a long time to get there BUT i'm well on my way now. don't know where i would be if i didn't listen that album.

Humans aren't perfect, so I perplexed by this topic. Music has helped me a lot, but it's usually songs and not albums. That said, there some albums that I liked a lot

PreTTY, what do you think of Suzi Quatro?

You know there'd be no Joan if there were no Suzi...

This version helped me be ok with my evolving sexuality, and that I really was an OK person.

This song just made me love music videos. How great to see they still got it.

Here are the three albums that made me strong (at the time when I realized I was gay....in Alabama/late 1970s)
