The Amazing Race 16

I think the cops want Team Models in the final three because they wouldn't be any competitian. And whatever they said with Team Models standing there was just to throw them off. Team models don't like Team Lesbians because they won't let them forget how dumb they are, I've heard Steve & Allie make some of the same obnoxious family values "teams like us" comments that Joe made. So I'm guessing they don't like Teams RI Bros either. I haven't heard the cowboys say anything about not liking anyone.

So far...I'd like the cowboys to win. My second choice would be Team RI Boys. I didn't like them at first but they've grown on me. They have a facebook page you can become a fan of if you want.
 
The cowboys. Two huge blunders in one show when seemingly before were always able to catch up and stay in the pack. My heart was sinking when they left the bottle and it took Phil a long time to tell them they had to retrieve it. It was pretty remarkable how quickly they were able to swim out and back. But one of them had some anger issues once they got back - which is what I would have expected from the lesbos and not them.

Team Miss S C are on my last nerve and the cops are on the one next to last.

I now, too, like the brothers. This leg was great for them and they the ox crapping constantly was hilarious.

Look out for Dad and daughter. They have been consistent and are consistently at the top.

I hope Jet and Cord can get it together next week and pull into the pitstop before some others, though the previews looked dire.
 
Lot of errors last night - Dad and daughter losing their bags, cowboys - coconut and bottle, lesbos - coconut.

I really can't stand Brent and Caite now, and I am thinking that the show doesn't like them either. They like to show their dumb moments, and point it out with the subtitles.
 
How is Brent a model? can anyone tell me? he is bug eyed and freaky looking.

on the other hand....Steve....had a pretty nice body there...better than any of the young guys...

the Cowboys should always have their hats on too..cause they lost some of their cuteness without them on...haha
 
I got into the show late. My mother and sister have been watching for a few years. I am enjoying the brothers Jet and Cord.

I feel so bad for Brandy for putting up with her rude girlfriend Carol. :( She blames everything on her.

I also love that Caite and Brent, like others have said, try to appear smart but basically butcher any attempts to appear at least normal whenever they open their mouth.
 
Its episodes like yesterday that make me wonder if this show is scripted because its hard to believe some of the things that happened...However, if it is not scripted then yesterday was a testament to never giving up no matter what.


Either way it was an exciting and riveting episode none the less.

I think i want the lesbians to win seeing as how the other teams trash talked them so much at the pit stop.
 
I dont see what is so bad about the police officers for everyone to hate them.

The lesbians dont seem that mean to me. I think they just dont appreciate the other teams bullshit.

The biggest bullshitter is daddy's girl with all her praying. SHe does seem sweet but enough with praying.

I'm not at all impressed with the cowboys like everyone else seems to be. They seem so Deliverance. I dont like how quick they were to project their anger onto the African guy when their dumb asses forgot their coconut. Even the "evil" lesbians blamed themselves.

Caite and Brent dont even deserve my insults.
 
You have to love any show that contains the line, "The cowboys and the lesbians are right behind us..." :lol:

I enjoy any episode that involves the guys taking off their shirts. But, the cowboys were a little disappointing in that area...

Not that it wasn't still enjoyable..... ;)

Yeah.... any scene with any degree of shirtless for Jet, Cody, Brent, and...... the brothers. Alas, the editing is just too fast... Wish we got more pit shots overall.

And yes, Joshua_Me: Any mention of "cowboys and lesbians" is just too good!

Go to Youtube and search Amazing Race 16 CBS and you can see some clips that aren't shown on the show. This weeks clips are pretty interesting and show alot more of the bros and cowboys on the mat with Phil (I know.....sounds HOT!!!). Also see the clip where Carol n Brandy talk about Jet. I'll leave you to make your own conclusions on their observations of him.
 
Tonight's episode (4/5/10) was tailor made for Team Cowboys fans. Giddy-up! Also, it was sad to see Steve and Allie cry at the end. Unlike most teams on TAR, their relationship will only benefit from this experience together. Anyway, here's how I like the rest of them:

1. Team Cowboys, I thought I was more a Jet man, but Cord is climbing on my list as well.
2. Team RI Bros, Jordan will have to stop dancing at road blocks one of these days so that he won't lose time.
3. Team Detectives, So are they two-faced for liking Team Lesbians and not at the same time?
4. Team Lesbians, Still a strong team. Will have to get over the eventual sabotage by some teams.
5. Team Models, they're slowly proving me wrong. SLOWLY.

Also, does anyone else think Dan and Allie would make a cute couple? Their little exchange on the steps were adorable.
 
I like the Cowboys.

Sad to see the team D&D go tonight.

Still pulling for the lesbians though. It's not cool that everyone is ganging up on them.
 
I dont like the Cowboys at all. They dont strike me as the most open-minded guys. Plus I dont see the hotness. They both seem so creepy and scary.
 
Team Models are not growing on me, why can't they be gone already? I liked the cops at first, but now I'm liking them less and less. I like Team Lesbians more with each episode.

Have any of you watched any the Elmination Station footage at cbs.com? I didn't realize they had a place they sent them to like Survivor and Big Brother. Joe is on there whining about the cops U-turning and saying he's going to confront them about it.

There was something wrong with the cbs video page this weekend. I couldn't get the secret clips to display anything but page 1. Hopefully they'll fix it when they post the scenes from last night's show.
 
I was so happy at the turn around this week. The Cowboys are funny the way they always seem to turn and look at the very same time, and their comments crack me up. I don't find anything sinister about them or that they aren't open minded. They're rodeo riders and live in a world few of us will ever know. And the comment to Phil about playing poker because he'd be good at it was hysterical.

I am high on the Lesbians, too. I don't care how much they bicker. If I were on this race with my hubby we'd be stomping each other in the ground over everything.

I was sorry to see D&D go. I would much rather it be the beauty queen and her snotty assed bf. Everything is unfair to them.

I still don't like the detectives. Now if we are talking sinister I would bet these two have done some mighty nasty shit in their work, and when they talk about it my skin crawls.

I forgive the Cowboys for their minute of anger because we all get hot under the collar during extreme stress. They pulled it together and came in first and are going on a romantic holiday for two to Maui. Yippee-ti-yi-yay, MF.
 
I love how unpredictable this season is, we always have a new first place finisher, and at this point I think any of the teams can win. It's not like the past three seasons where the winner was pretty obvious because they came in first on almost every leg.

Really I think it's very predictable. The only team that is consistently upwardly mobile is the cowboys. They're clearly going to win and I'm already bored with it.
 
Okay, okay. I'm not the biggest Brent & Caite fan. In fact, they've been my least favorite team since Leg 4 and yes, U-Turning Brandy & Carol when the two strongest teams remaining are right behind them is a move more than idiotic.. but Brandy & Carol have just got to suck it up and realize they lost to the system- a system that unfortunately included Brent & Caite.

As for the rest of the episode that isn't as drama-filled. My love for Jet continues to grow. He's just about the cutest thing ever. "The closest thing to an instrument I've played at home is the radio." Funny, even Phil laughed hard at that.

So do we have our villains this season in the form of Michael & Louie? Or is it just me? They've obviously smarter than Brent & Caite (but even them didn't think about U-Turning the Cowboys, it appears only the RI Bros thought about it), and they using those two kids with no resistance.

As for Daniel & Jordan, hmmm.. first, Dan called Jordan his baby. Weird. The very wrong undertone between these two aren't to going to go away with that remark. But good for the boys, coasting in with a VERY fortunate Fast Forward and flying under the radar into the final four.

So there you have it. Four teams remaining, two are very strong and have proven so and two teams no one thought would last this long. Can't wait! Here's how I'd rank 'em:

1. Team Cowboys, Cord was so close to crumbling under pressure.
2. Team Detectives, can they climb more stairs next time just so I can see Louie wheeze a little more?
3. Team RI Bros, Sure knows how to get a cab and find someone fast. Huh?
4. Team Models, they're getting stronger.. that's two very smooth legs in a row.
 
You know, if I were in the race and Carol & Brandy had said the crap about me that they said about Team Models, I'd want to U-Turn them myself. I'm glad that they're gone, because I wouldn't want them to win the prize. Brandy is a Bitch, and Carol is an idiot if she stays with her.
