The Amazing Race

I just watched the ending. I missed it before. There is no way Mark and Mike will be able to overcome that penalty time and Roadblock. Stick a fork in 'em, they're done.

Is there some rule against calling someone a naughty name? Why are they making such a big deal about Jen calling Luke a bitch? He was acting like a bitch.

Although I do like Margie so far, it seems like she is the one making an issue of Jen calling Luke a bitch. One thing I don't like about Margie is it seems she never really calls Luke on his bad behavior and seems to have essentially created a monster.

Bidude you are so wrong. They were not laughing at him for having a disability, they were laughing because he was being overemotional about a situation that had occured. One, by the way that he created. They never said anything about his deafness. If she had called him a "deaf bitch" when he threw his elbow, maybe I can see it, but she didn't. And then on the next challenge he ran her over. I thought she did a great job of not allowing it to escalate at that time. I love Luke and Margie and I hope they win, but I also like Jen and Kisha and do not feel like they did anything wrong. As for the mat confrontation, I can see how Luke and Margie might have thought they were making fun of him, but they weren't. Even Phil told Margie he didn't think thats what they were doing. Jen and Kisha were reacting like they would to anyone. Are they supposed to tread water because it was Luke. That would seem to be treating him differently which Margie claims she doesn't want for her son. This was a tough one for me because these are my two favorite teams, from the beginning, and I hate seeing it play out like this.

I agree petereater I don't think that they were laughing cause he's deaf...they were laughing cause he was being ridiculous. You're deaf not blind...you elbowed her....get over it

ppl don't forget luke is deaf. someone came behind and putting their arm over. maybe standard reaction. 2nd time luke did backed off.

also in certain situation, you don't just burst into laugh. i'm not racist, but a lot of times, african america plays the oh it's racism even though it's not. Jen and her sis should know better.

anyway, i can't wait til next week. i'd be nice if there are more hot men, in their swimming briefs, doing swimming competitions.

No can forget Luke is deaf....however he and his mom did over react to the situation.

The girls did not "burst into laugh" they smiled, Margie took it as laughing..I smiled and shook my head at Luke also, does that mean I was laughing at his deafness? No, I was laughing at his stupidity at the situation--he was overly angry for no reason and his mom only instigated the situation by telling him in the cab that Jen called him a "bitch" ....Margie was also wrong for bring up that the girls should know better because they are African American and deal with racism, --it was a simple case of competition....when they get home and watch the episodes I bet Margie and Luke will smile and laugh at how stupid they reacted to something.

and yet it was MARGE who played the race card if you didn't notice that.
on a strictly personal note, Luke and Marge were the ones who knocked out hot Kris and Amanda with their u-turn so there is much hate for them on my part that we don't get to see Kris in the gymnast tights or in the swimming briefs next week.

Both Luke and Jen were ridiculous for pushing and shoving each other to get to the clue boxes first. What's the difference in getting the clue 2 seconds before/after the other...it's not like it's the end pit stop...it's just a clue!

Seems the stress of the competition is really getting to Marge and Luke...they way overreacted to the smile...shouldn't have brought up the race issue either. The smile/laugh was just about Kisha/Jen being exasperated with the situation. I do like Kisha...but Jen is a bitch regardless of that confrontation...;)

I really stopped liking Margie after this episode. She's an enabler who made the situation into a big ordeal when it didnt need to be. Luke's prolly always been a spoiled brat because Margie herself treats him like a baby, instead of teaching him to be independent. She should have taught his ass how to lip-read so he wouldnt always need her to communicate. The truth is, she wont always be around and what will he do then? Instead the turn Luke and Jen shoving each other into a Crusade against deaf citizens of the world. Then the idiot starts throwing in something about race

don't remember if it was Jen or Kisha that tried to push her way through on the first one box confrontation - and they both discussed smiling and laughing at competitors for the sake of getting them mad - Luke should have played it cool at the next one and showed he is better than them, Margie should have not told Luke what they called him

I watched the first confrontation 3 times and the girl ran into Luke's back hard and her hands were over his shoulder and as a reaction he shoved it away. The bitch in this call was her not him. In the second confrontation Luke did throw his hands in the air after he ran into her.

Tit for tat. Not quite. I am not sure what goes round in Luke's mind since I am not deaf, but kids are pretty mean little bastards when there is someone with a disability. Perhaps Marge should have kept the bitch remark to herself, but again she is the only communication (save Phil) he has in this race. She is a protective Mom but most Mom's who have a child with disabilities are over protective.

Luke's reactions at the pit stop may have seemed over the top to some but in his world, perfectly normal.

The girls should have known better than to laugh when he didn't know why they were laughing. That was the bitchiest.

Let's just hope this whole thing is done and over. I want to see a fun race to the end, not sniping between the teams. And for those that assume that Jen and Kisha are done because of the preview for next week...really? Since when does a clip that shows a contestant faultering ever end up with them out of the competition?

True Liquid, but I have had moments that I thought were overwhelming and I made it through them. My guess is that Jen will complete whatever tack it is that is required of her and I wouldn' be surprised if Marige is the one that actually inspires her to face her fears. These two teams will be in the final three and most likely finish one and two, not sure what order.

DAMN IT, what the hell was THAT? Damn cliffhanger! My heart was pounding for for the bitches to get eliminated too. :(

What?, why're (is that a word) you hatin' on Kisha and Jen, or are you talkin' about Cara and Jaime?

I thought that was a hard challenge to watch, because it certainly was difficult for Kisha. I felt really badly for her. I kept thinking why can't you just hunker down and do it. There's nothing that I could think of to keep me from doing a challenge, until I saw the previews for next week. I think I could do anything except eat grosteque food. That would be the challenge where I would have the most problems.

Remeber when the brothers got penalized for putting the bicycle tools away, so the other players wouldn't have ready access to them? Isn't Tammy and Victor asking the airport employees to put everyone in the back of the plane "sorta" the same thing?

Anyway, I finally got to see Victor sans clothing, and I wasn't disappointed. I think he looked good in that speedo-esq bathing suit.

Tammy and Victor weren't serious and they can't control what a ticketing agent does vs what the midgets actually did of their own volition.

Did Jen & Kisha miss out on swimming lessons when they were seven? I didn't get what the big deal was - it's water and the lap pool isn't even over your head.

When I looked at the clock and it was 8:50 and no one had checked in, my fear of TBC surfaced about 3 minutes before Phil announced it. But the clue said to go to the Pitstop - in other TBC seasons the wording was different to say to see Phil at the mat.

The tools are required for that road block/task. They "sabotaged" the task.

Yep, Victor's pube line does look hot.

O.K. I was wrong about Victor and Tammy's request to put the others in the back. Sorry.

But did anyone have an OMGosh moment when Kisha and Jen were talking about the "stupid" look on the Chinese peoples faces, and especially when they made the comment about how all Chinese look alike when they were trying to get a cab? I mean, they should know that was a stereotype about their race also.
