The Beautiful Blake Mitchell aka Lane Rogers

Surprised to see Entertainment Tonight pick up the story. Definitely "not your grandmother's ET"! Though online-based vs. broadcast version, so more opportunity to do these kinds of things I suppose.

Amazing they addressed it at all - but I note they say "onlyfans" star and do not address his gay porn career.

It was a huge shock to find out that Lane died. I always worry about people I know who drive motorcycles, I’ve been to too many funerals. Even though a lot of people have a negative opinion about the porn industry those negative stereotypes didn’t apply to Lane because he was always known as a very good person, and it’s good that the media outlets who reported on his death have been respectful. I know that I will still watch the movies he was in, especially since I own so many of them. I don’t see anything improper with watching him have sex because he was so beautiful, and gay sex is beautiful.

Some more details have emerged. Excerpted from that link:

According to this witness who saw the accident: Lane was stopped at a red light at the intersection of Hueneme Road and an on-ramp to Pacific Coast Highway. While stopped at this light, Lane noticed a box truck approaching directly behind him at a high rate of speed, and the truck didn’t appear to be stopping for the red light, or him. Instinctively, Lane veered into the lane to the left of him so he could get out of the way, but the truck, per the witness, must’ve simultaneously seen he was approaching a red light and someone on a motorcycle, so the truck driver veered into the left lane, too. It was then that the truck hit Lane and ran him over.

“Lane did everything right and what anyone would do,” the witness told Str8Up, adding, “And his reflexes were fast.”

For those of us surprised and saddened by the news, it maybe helps a little bit to understand what happened - not that it makes any difference, but the puzzle of it all can be frustrating sometimes. Based on that account, it would suggest that Lane wasn't being reckless or careless nor stunt-driving, etc. :( Really just the wrong place at the wrong time, in a transportation mode that offers little protection from other cars and trucks on the road and the decisions of their drivers.
