The only honest thing I've read about wealth-acquiring since the pandemic started and we got flooded with "Gen Z is poor cuz avocado toast and starbucks" and "This daughter of an oil tycoon and an actress makes 10k a month leasing pictures of her gerbils to wildlife activists" articles.

You can suck on stuffed cabbage 'til the cows come home, you're not getting your teeth back 'til you sign the damn will.

That sounds like a caption to a Far Side cartoon.

As a wise man said, nuke them all, let (their) God sort them out, and sing along to this track while you do it.

Two quotes from Florentine-born Ori Kafri, founder of the JK Place hotels. Kafti founded his first hotel at age 23.

"Of course, we can never go wrong being too kind, too well educated; It is the contrary that you notice when you’re not. I believe that If you have education and you are kind, you receive the same in exchange."

I disagree with this myself, although I wish it were so. I have been too kind, and I have not always received the same in exchange, even from educated people. However, I believe his following statement is worthy of much thought:

"Life is a series of steps; for me the word coherence is important. I think that if someone does things with coherence and follows a path and perseveres in the just and right way he will most likely get results. So coherence is an important word for all we do both at work and in our private, personal lives. To reach objectives you need this basic coherence and then perseverance, not let anything distract you from what you are set to accomplish."

This. If I never get out of sweatpants who cares

To paraphrase Coco Chanel, who knew a bit about survival and success:

One should dress well, if only out of politeness. And then, you never know, maybe that's the day one has a date with destiny. And it's best to be look as good as possible for destiny.”

By heck! Literally five minutes ago I came across another Coco Chanel quote: "Dress like you are going to meet your worst enemy today."

Always wear clean underwear in case you get into an accident and die.

I love this quote. By the way, I just returned from Paris, and on my AF flight I watched Coco Before Chanel/Coco Avant Chanel with Audrey Tatou and Alessandro Nivola. I highly recommend it. Nivola, by the way, looked extraordinarily handsome with black hair and a moustache playing Boy Capel, Chanel's one true love. Nice interview:

A few years ago I was given a tour of Chanel's apartment on the Rue Cambon above the store. To my great surprise I found myself sitting on
her sofa, which would qualify as a second-class relic were she to ever be canonized!

Thays not a problem if you don't have any underwear to begin with.
