*Finally*

SOMEone with taste....

p t anderson is an AMAZING director....

'Magnolia' is perhaps my favorite movie of all time.

Life altering, breath-taking, tear-inducing....

At over a 3 hour running time, I bet I've seen it at least 25 times.

"Two can be as sad as one, it's the loneliest number since the number one.."

8:2 8:2 8:2...........(they're *everywhere*)

I don't know if it is the best movie ever, but it's definetely one of the greatest american films of the last decade. Paul Thomas Anderson is beyond any shadow of doubt one of the most gifted directors around.

The cast is superb. The performances are flawless. Even Tom Cruise is great!!!

My favorites performances are by John C Reilly and William H. Macy. Julianne Moore is excellent too.

Aimee Mann songs are fantastic. "Wise up" has to be one of the best songs ever written for a movie.

Thanks for putting the film on the spotlight once again. It's a "must see" movie.

it's one of my favorite movies as well.
i used to fall asleep to it almost every night.

it's a really beautiful film.

P.T. needs to make a new one!

"Magnolia" is the most pretentious piece of crap I have ever seen...bar none.

I really like Magnolia, but I think Boogie Nights, also by PT Anderson, is better.

I'm not a fan of the frogs.

Yes i agree is not the best movie ever but im sure is at least one of the best movies of the 90's

I remember really being impressed by this film.

I should watch it again.......

im still raving about this movie

here's the infamous scene where most of the characters are singing Aimee Mann's "wise up"...a great scene and pivotal point in the movie

I remember when Nip/Tuck tried to rip this scene off in its S4 finale. What a joke.

Anyways, this song is beautiful and in any other movie a scene like this wouldn't have worked. But PT pulled it off.

yeah it was really ballsy of nip/tuck to try and pull off a scene like that...i didnt mind it but i know a lot of people hated it

that scene in magnolia fits perfectly in the movie

I loved this movie. Julianne Moore breaks my heart in the scene where she confesses what she's done and doesn't want any inheritance.

Last year, my friends and I took a vote on the worst movie ever made. We had two separate categories, one for totally incompetant film-making (Winner: Wild Women of Wongo, Runner-Up: Plan 9 From Outer Space) and one for most pretentious (Winner: Natural Born Killers, Runner-Up: Magnolia). When I saw that someone actually called this movie great, I had to call my friends to give them a good laugh. One good thing, though. This thread caused me to reconsider. "Magnolia" is no longer my runner-up. It really is the worst piece of garbage ever.

It's funny to me how the more someone trumpets something as being pretentious, the more pretentious they become by doing so.
