I'm following the show and awaiting the live season finale tomorrow (Wed) night! Who else is watching? Who do you think will win?

It's down to the final four: Erik, Wylie, Heather and Kai. Honestly, I'm hoping for Erik or Wylie to win because the two women have turned out to be such bitches and I would hate to see one of them run off with the cash -- they are so friggin' gung ho on "I'm gonna be the first female Biggest Loser ..."

Did anyone see the quickie previews where they show these fast glimpses of them working out and how much further weight loss they have achieved? It's unreal!

A final note: I was SHOCKED to read on the website that Wylie is 40 years old  ... I would have never guessed he was even over 30! I have a feeling he's gonna look HOT ... can't wait to see him reveal! Guess I am biased to have him win too since he IS from Florida  .

I hope Erik takes it. He's dropped over 120 pounds while he's been on the show, which is an amazing amount of weight loss. Plus he's the only one left from Bob's team, and I like Bob. ;)

I think Erik lost the most but I don't like how he back-stabbed Marty...who really should have won if you saw his recent progress.

Now I'm supporting Wylie because he triggers my gaydar a bit.

I want a girl to win for the first time. Honestly, though, I think that one of the people who were sent home is going to end up being the real biggest loser. It happened last year, one of the eliminated players went on lose more weight than any of the finalists.

I've been rooting for Kai all along. I really like her.

Am I the only one that thinks that the show is fundamentally biased toward the men? It's a proven fact that men lose weight much more easily than women, even when you go by percentages to compare. Plus, men tend to be MORE overweight than women, meaning the men have more to lose and therefore, a greater potential to bring in huge percentages late in the game. As the show progresses, the women start hitting plateaus because they simply don't have that much more weight left to lose. However, you have someone like Erik, who despite having lost over 100 pounds so far, is still morbidly obese, meaning this late in the game, he's still bringing in huge numbers because he has so much left to lose. I don't think a women will ever win because I don't think it's physically possible.

Sex hormones play a big role in metabolism so it's really not a fair game, but that's how this show works since it's a race to see who loses the most in a set amount of time. If they have a different criteria to judge upon, not only percentage weight loss, it could standardize the results to reflect their actual progress.

I want a reality show where people do it on their own dealing with everyday life, instead of going to the farm. It would be interesting to see how many would stick with it.

Yeah, I agree that there should be different standards set for the men and women, and perhaps there should be TWO winners (male and female) instead of one - kinda like homecoming king and queen. I like the fact this time that they had contestants who were sent home in the beginning compete for the chance to come back. It would have been great to see one of them win after doing it on their own.

Even though I like Wylie, I am also torn between him and Erik, only because it would be great to have Bob's lone blue team guy take it too. but I agree with you Stryfe, that was messed up about him voting off Marty .. and Marty turned out to be quite a hottie! Even when he left the ranch he was looking really good.

I get the feeling Heather is out of the running .. I noticed she was the only one of the three who was not "quick-glimpsed" during the finale trailer  ... and they DID say there was a surprise twist with one of the finalists  ... I only have ONE theory as to what thay could be - and this is not a spoiler since I know no more that anyone else. Maybe Heather got pregnant?

And if I HAD to choose one of the women to win .. I would have to pick Kai anyway.

Ratman - CONGRATS on your weight loss and progress ... it's certainly something to be proud of! Thanks for sharing!

Yeah I hope Eric wins it all. I do agree that he did back stab Marty, but I think Eric was somewhat right in voting him out. If Marty had stayed, I think that it would be between Marty and Eric. I know that Wylie has lost a lot of weight but I think that he doesn't even come close to Eric.

Kai is a bitch. Heather is a bitch. I kinda liked them in the beginning, but now they are getting all bitchy.

Kai is being a bitch trying to sabotage Eric. Eric looks like he's going to win though. He started off with the most weight and he looks like he lost all he could lose. Wylie looks too muscular :( That won't help him win at all, but he sure has a nice ass now.

Well, the show has aired and now we know that Erik IS the Biggest Loser 3. Lost an amazing 214 lbs! He looked awesome! It's amazing how different he looks - a totally different person. Wylie was indeed working it ... and my gaydar was a-buzzin' (notice how there was no mention of him "catching the ladies" on South Beach and how his family in the audience was a bunch of friends!) Kai, as much as I disliked her on the show, looked great (and now the female that has lost the most ever on TBL)! She was truly sexy tonight. And I can't believe I actually predicted Heather's pregnancy. But was that really far fetched? She looked glowing as well.

Besides Erik, I was really impressed with Poppy and Brian. She really looked awesome. Size 22 to a 2! And he lost half his body ... they deserved their prizes.

Well, I'll be watching next season! This show really keeps me motivated to keep the weight off!!

Brian is hot now.

Unfortunately, this finale only proved how unfair the game really is. Poppi lost over 50% and weighed only 115 pounds. If she lost anymore weight, she'd be UNDERweight. Unless they get women who weigh over 400 pounds, a women can NEVER win the show. They physically cannot lose the 53% of their body weight it would have taken to beat Erik without becoming unhealthily underweight.

They really need a new way to compare the contestants.

Doctorsun,

Your observation makes total sense and I agree with you. And I don't think it would ever come to a point where they would let an anorexic-looking female contestant take the scale and win it all. What message would that send? I hope season 4 is completely revamped in this regard now that the producers have seen 3 male biggest losers in a row.

With that said, could you imagine women now packing on the pounds to sign up for the show utilizing a strategy as you described? LOL

I'm excited that Erik won. He really deserved it. Even though I was rooting for Kai. I like her. I guess its cause we kinda have the same attitude.

WOW did you see how Marty, Jaron, Erik and Brian. They were actually really good looking. Poppy really surprised me too. I was hoping the girl from Maryland would of made it further but thats ok. I guess its cause I live in MD lol.

When Brian came out...my dad and i were like..Who the Hell is that? and then they showed his before picture and like our jaws just dropped! it was crazy how good he looked!

but yeah Erik deserved it! As did Poppy as well...she lost half of herself...haha it's crazy!

PS~how cute did Bob look in his suit...god i love him...and thank god he got rid of that horrible haircut from this season!

I wish I had him as a personal trainer! And I am GLAD to see I was not the only one balking at that haircut! LOL

I have a hard time taking Bob seriously ever since I found out about his Queer Abs days. It's great that he's gay. but...Queer Abs? Wow...

haha....eh it's a gimic...i'm sure the vid is probably really good though...i thought about getting it when i first saw the ad for it a few years ago...but yeah i couldn't bring myself to order something called queer abs...lol....but i'd give anything for his abs...my god...

We have to remember that this is a game. You have weight loss, and you have tactics. Players often voted off members because of loyalty instead of furthering their own chances of winning. If Erik didn't make it to the finals, Kai would have won.

Women CAN win the show, but they need to play the game.

Yeah I thought that Brian was hot. Completely different person.

Yes, but when you have people like Erik, they consistently bring in huge numbers, so their team wouldn't be stupid enough to send them home early on. And when they go to the pairs and then individual competitions, they don't often fall beneath the yellow line, meaning they're rarely in danger of being sent home.

The game is naturally skewed in favor of the men who are the most overweight.
