The Black Panther leader that A.G. Holder let off the hook

so yes... the motivation of the Obama admin is the bottom line, and as I had asserted earlier, when it comes to politically hot issues, like the torture cases, this DOJ does not get involved. they seem to avoid a political case liek the plague, even if there may have been real crimes committed.

Well, that's the most that can be supposed.

My view (and bankside's, I think) gives the Obama Justice Dept. the benefit of the doubt. I guess one could expect that of me, but one should also expect that of a court, kangaroo or otherwise, I think.

Giving the severity of the charges, it seems that a presumption of innocence is the american standard...lol

My God, is this still going on?
Let's see if this answers some questions.

I found these two cites while surfing this AM. It answers some questions that I had about it.

On Fox News, ex-Civil Rights Division Lawyer Blasts DOJ

An Associated Press story inaccurately described the scene as one where white voters were being intimidated by the Black Panther members. The only white people at the scene that day appeared to be the Republican poll watchers. And Fox News host Megyn Kelly inaccurately described video taken of the incident as made by a “voter.” In fact, the video was made by Stephen Robert Morse, a blogger hired by the local Republican Party on behalf of the John McCain presidential campaign.

There is not one shred of evidence that the New Black Panther Party as an organization, nor its leader, Malik Zulu Shabazz, Esq .committed, or conspired to commit any act of voter intimidation whatsoever. Not one shred of evidence. Correctly, the charges against the entire organization and the chairman were dropped. The actions of one individual cannot be attributed to an entire organization any more than every act of any member of the Catholic Church be charged to the Vatican.

WHAT INTIMIDATION?
There is no evidence, not one statement from any person at the polling station that day to prove that any voter, regardless to race creed or color was intimidated from voting or offended in any way. The Philadelphia police took no action and no complaint from any voter was filed. What is all the uproar about? No one was intimidated and no one has complained about intimidation. This phony hearing by the so-called United States Civil Rights Commission is a sham and a fraud and a waste of taxpayer dollars and resources.

^ Oh I have no doubt that the outrage will still continue.

I am convinced beyond doubt that there was no wrong doing. this is just one more trumped up phony story designed to scare old white ladies into not voting for the democratic party this mid term.

it is the lowest form of politics.

it is why as a non affiliated voter, I abhor the current republican party. they are hopelessly lost in a wilderness of their own making, and rather than try to find a way out, they are trying to bring the entire nation down with them.

I find it revolting.

^ Boy.

Talk about getting the wrong end of the stick there, eh?
