Thanks to my boss's (plural) exquisite decision making, I now have to work this weekend. ](*,)

One of my clients had their corporate executives in town for an inspection, which included a investigation of their pest control services that I provide. This is a large and high profile account which consumes much of my time. I document and record my findings and keep a running log of my services. Periodically, I bring my reports back to my office and have them computer updated and printed and compiled in a "log book" that is to be kept on the premises of said client. The finished compilation is the responsibility of my immediate supervisor. I gave him this information 3 weeks ago and he did nothing with it.

I arrive at work this morning at 5:30 a.m. at my boss's instructions, in order to have said information completed and ready to deliver to client. He arrives at 7:00 a.m. Get my work done and deliver to client. Client has questions, which I offered to explain at that time, but I was told "not necessary".

Inspector calls my company with unanswered questions. I'm contacted by my supervisors and told I did not perform expected tasks properly; drop whatever schedule is in progress and meet with client.

Bottom line is, I didn't get my work scheduled for today done because people who are higher up than me didn't do their job! Now I have to work tomorrow because I had to "cover" their asses and at the same time, let it look like I was the one who dropped the ball. Sometimes I just want to tell them "YOU GUYS ARE FUCKING IDIOTS"!! ](*,)](*,)](*,)](*,)

Yep, that's the way it works. The chain of command don't like to admit failure or screwup's. Could have been most anyone posting this.
Grin and bear it.....

get rid of the cell phone and screen your calls

In my case, I believe that
is the only correct answer to this provocative question.

Hope it goes well tomorrow.
Knock them dead. Just a little pest control humor.
