So, Hot Topics seems to be hitting new lows in name calling, not the least of which is the new use of gay slurs on a gay men's site.

Is it the evolution of self-loathing to progress to loathing your neighbors?

Is it testing the limits of inclusiveness and diversity?

Is it the bottom?

We should move on to maligning the dead. With Telly gone, that really is a big gaping hole in the lineup of lows.

I've not noticed gay slurs being used on the site. I have, on the other hand, noticed an increasing misuse of "gaslighting" to attempt to bully another person into not disagreeing with the accuser.

My reference is to multiple incidents of "faggot" being used as an insult, as well as "bottom" being used derogatorily. Both would qualify as shaming.

But I agree on the gaslighting. That would be a return to JUB of before, where rival "gangs" of allies would generally swarm a thread to take up the fight if one of their posse got into a scrape.

I confess that my main purpose in creating a new thread was to add a second parody title to the two already orbiting each other.

Right! That's why Matterofsplatter, Huntneo (who was a mod), Moephoenix, lucky7, the blasian guy and all the other people of color left, and our sisters alpha and stacy left, cuz it's so inclusive around here. The overwhelming whiteness isn't deliberate at all.
