Has anyone seen this movie? I just watched it and thought it was good. Sort of like a gay Sex and the City.

I have seen this movie.. was a prelude to my boyfriend dumping me a week later... haven't seen it since.

I wasn't crazy about it. It never really went anywhere.

It's one of those love it or hate it movies; it depends on whether or not you need fast movies. If you need your movies to quick, witty, and fast-paced, give it a pass. On the other hand, if you like fun, slow-paced movies that really explore characters and have fun, then this is definitely your kind of movie.

I like it because of Justin Theroux and his character's storyline...

first saw it on IFC one day and was like "hey I know alot of these actors......HEY WAIT THEY'RE PLAYING GAY CHARACTERS!!!!!!!!!!"

I really enjoyed this movie. Especially Timothy Olyphant (Live Free, Die Hard) who was fantastic in the scene in the darkroom after their older friend died. It was well written and well acted and had that cute twink Andrew Keegan. He looked great shirtless too. Lots to like about this one..some of the above criticism is fair, but overall Broken Hearts Club was excellent.

Nice flick of dealing with gay love and freinds. Just goes to show we are not ways fucking 24/7 but having meanfull relationships.

I liked this movie though the quick fade to black moments in the film kinda irked me.

I would sort of like someone to write a movie like this--but just much better. It was great to see a movie about gay friends with a bunch of different types of gay men--exploring their lives, etc.

But the movie was just okay.

All the "small" gay films start to blend together. Was this the one where John Glover played two roles? And where Carpenters music was everywhere?

YES, I was quite amused by the Carpenters soundtrack to a lot of scenes. Made the film much much gayer.

I agree that is an "either you love it or you hate it" film. I guess, being a sucker for love and romance that I am, I loved it.

People would just have to take it for what it is... pure entertainment. It's a popcorn movie. Some people hate it for the lack of techinical and artistic merits, but I don't think the movie was made with the intention of it being ranked among cinema's greatest films. "Broken Hearts Club" was entertaining, and I think that was the goal of the movie... simply to entertain.

"...Rainy days and Mondays Always gets me down..."

To me, any gay ensemble film will always be compared to "Boys In The Band". Though dated, "Boys" remains the wittiest, most entertaining gay film I've ever seen.
