I've 'known' I wasn't straight since in my early 20's But didn't admit to myself/become comfortable..with it til sometime in my 30's.
Yep I have your back and a helping hand for getting up(well as long as my bad knees allow for it - I'm slowly getting more broken all over with age )
But like you said, no choice other than to move forward, breaks and all...
