Wow, that is some muy bad acting. How did she pass the audition process? And OMG, give her a tan! No chick from Arizona is that pale, i'm sorry.
 
i hated, hated, hated twilight when i saw it.

just... garbage.

but that girl? her performance was so horrid. i've seen wet cardboard drying in the sun that had more depth and interest than her performance.

LOL! Serious screw up on the casting for that movie! Loved the books... hated the actors... Well, hated the actors acting... :cool:

Was being all emo and mopey not SUPPOSED to be part of her character? If it was, she did good, but if not, yeah that's funny.

I liked Twilight cause of the emo-ness.
 
I heard they almost fired her. After seeing her absolutely horrendous performance, I wouldn't at all be surprised.

At least Edward did a little better job.

I am still wondering why they made her so pale. Totally uncalled for.

she never cracks a smile on the red carpet, either. and she is kinda mediocre looking. i cant really work up the energy to seriously, furiously hate her, but really, how did she get cast?

I liked the movies, but she is definitely a TERRIBLE actress. She makes Hayden Christensen look like Robert De Niro...
 
I love Twilight for the fact that it has "Hot Dad" as I call him, or as fans know him as Carlisle. :P
 
It was a poor effort.

To think, her co-star Anna Kendrick is this year nominated for an Oscar for her role in "Up In the Air".

The "Rising Star" BAFTA was a joke! It's a public vote - all the tweens who are obsessed with "Twilight" logged on a voted for her whereas, Carey whose performance and film were brilliant (ditto for Nicholas Hoult in A Single Man) was seen by so few people!!

At any rate, Carey won't Best Actress - well deserved.

oh c'mon, thats a lazy thing to say. i think leighton meester and taylor momsen are doing just fine, for example. id also count summer glau, lizzy caplan and anna paquin, if they still count as "kids". especially glau... shes fucking fantastic!

oh, wait... what do you mean by "these movies"?
 
I haven't watched Twilight Saga (and would probably never watch it), so I don't know about her acting there. But in the other movies, she's quite nice and not too unappealing...

Maybe it's just not her genre.
 
I still recall that scene near the end of the first Twilight when she was lying in hospital.

Edward tells Bella that she should move to Florida or wherever her Mum was going, and when Bella went all apeshit at him. Man that was funny. It looked like it was straight out of an America soap opera.
