Christina Aguilera first celeb to be honoured on 'Gay Walk of Fame'

Christina Aguilera has become the first celebrity to be inducted into the Hollywood's 'Gay Walk of Fame'.

The Burlesque star arrived Wednesday at The Abbey in West Hollywood accompanied by her boyfriend Matt Rutler.

Aguilera was bursting out of her lace basque which showed off her ample cleavage and teamed the lingerie with a fifties-style suspender belt and finished the look off with a feather and lace negligée and a pair of fishnet tights.

The 'Gay Walk of Fame' has been added as part of a revamp of the restaurant and bar.

"We're proud of Christina, who's always supported causes important to (gay) people," the Daily Mail quoted Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center spokesperson Stevie St John as telling RadarOnline.

"We applaud her for speaking out in favour of equality and working to support the community," he added.

British singer-songwriter Talay Riley recently revealed that Christina has listed Adele's latest disc as an inspiration for her upcoming album. Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green set for Michael Jackson concert

Christina Aguilera is adding her star power to an upcoming Michael Jackson tribute concert after agreeing to join her fellow The Voice mentor Cee Lo Green on the bill.

The King of Pop's mother, Katherine, is organizing Michael Forever, The Tribute Concert, which will be held in the superstar's memory on October 8th in Cardiff, Wales.

Green was the first big headliner to sign up for the gig and now Aguilera has been announced as the latest act to join in the celebrations.

Music icon Smokey Robinson and British pop stars Leona Lewis and Craig David are also slated to perform at the event, alongside rockers Alien Ant Farm, who scored a hit with their punk cover of Jackson's Smooth Criminal.

A representative for promoters Global Live Events says of Aguilera's involvement, "This announcement is just the beginning, we have many more to announce."

Katherine Jackson has also reportedly invited rap superstars Jay-Z and Kanye West to join the bill, in addition to R&B singer Usher.

You know, guys...I've been listening to Bionic a lot lately--and the more I listen to it, I think it's actually a fairly decent album. Good even...

I am still so that it didn't get much of a chance and was a relative flop.

Even some of the 'filler' tracks (like Glam and Prima Donna) make for a fun listen now.

I agree. I gave the album a listen when it first dropped and I never thought it was bad, despite the criticism. Prima Donna, Sex For Breakfast, You Lost Me, Bionic, Lift Me Up, WooHoo, and Not Myself tonight are still some of my favorites from her.

The thing is that Bionic was supposed to come out before she started filming Burlesque...so at least a year prior to the time when it was actually released.

Timing is important and if she had released it when she first planned to, I think it would've had a bigger impact. But when they finally released it, people just thought it was a bad copy of Gaga.

Good album, bad timing. I feel she's always a trendsetter but people don't realize it because she does things with no good timing. See she was the first pop star who recognized and worked with Nicki Minaj!! But who knows or remembers that? Nobody. Now that Nicki is famous we all know she worked with Britney and others but who remembers Xtina? Nobody. As I said, bad timing...

Christina Aguilera, Selena Gomez Lead ALMA Nominees

Christina Aguilera and Selena Gomez are the leading nominees for the ALMA Awards, which honor the artistic accomplishments of Latinos in music, television and film.

The National Council of La Raza announced the nominations Thursday.

Aguilera and Gomez are each up for three awards for their work in music and on the big and small screens. Both are nominated in the female music artist category and for favorite movie actress in a comedy or musical — Aguilera for “Burlesque” and Gomez for “Monte Carlo.” Aguilera was also nominated for reality TV personality for her work on “The Voice.” Gomez is up for favorite TV actress in a comedy for “Wizards of Waverly Place,” which was nominated for favorite TV series alongside “CSI: Miami,” '‘Desperate Housewives” and “Modern Family.”

Jennifer Lopez and “Glee” star Naya Rivera are each double nominees. Both are up for female music artist. Lopez is also nominated in the reality TV category for “American Idol” and Rivera is nominated for favorite TV actress in a comedy for “Glee.”

The nominees for favorite movie will be announced Aug. 22.

For the first time, fans are being invited to help choose the winners by voting online. Winners will be determined by fan votes; box-office, Nielsen and Billboard rankings; and the ALMA Awards production team.

Maroon 5's "Moves Like Jagger," featuring Christina Aguilera, struts to the top of the Billboard Hot 100, rolling 4-1 with Airplay Gainer honors for a third consecutive week. Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine makes chart headlines of his own, as well, thanks to a leap into the top 10 as a guest on Gym Class Heroes' "Stereo Hearts."

The song marks Maroon 5's second Hot 100 No. 1. The band previously reigned for three weeks in 2007 with "Makes Me Wonder." For Aguilera, the return to the chart's apex ends an even greater hiatus. She had last ruled alongside Lil' Kim, Mya and P!nk on "Lady Marmalade" for five weeks in 2001. "Jagger" is Aguilera's fifth Hot 100 No. 1. She banked three leaders from her self-titled debut album in 1999-2000: "Genie in a Bottle," "What a Girl Wants" and "Come On Over Baby (All I Want Is You)."

The accolades don't end, however, for Maroon 5's frontman Adam Levine. He concurrently enters the Hot 100's top 10 (15-10) as a featured artist on Gym Class Heroes' "Stereo Hearts." The track vaults 7-3 on Digital Songs (146,000, up 28%) and 37-23 on Radio Songs (40 million, up 28%).

The ascensions of "Jagger" and "Stereo" grant Levine an unprecedented (and certainly quirky) Hot 100 achievement: he becomes the first artist in the chart's 53-year history to reach No. 1 as part of a group and enter the top 10 as a soloist in the same week.
