The Coming of Josh

Oh, good chapter!

Will is frustrated with Forest's fear of being openly gay. So, you've paved the way for a major shake-up there, FT, as you foreshadowed in the previous chapter, involving Forest, Cal, Will and … who? We'll just have to wait and see.

And more questions:

What will Cal say he thinks could happen?
Is Kenny's secret contact X?
Has Kenny been playing Clay all along? He's got form, after all.
And if so, what's he after?
Will Tyler find a gay bar he enjoys being in?
Will Edgar turn out to be Joseph?
Will Josh have sex with Taylor on the wedding night?
Will Bear and Owen's IPA impress the boys?
And probably a lot of other questions too.

Looking forward to the next one, FT.

Cheers, HF

Needless to say, I'm interested in the answers to all of HF's questions which we all are wondering about. Here's hoping we get more insight into what's going on with Kenny and what he's up to. I think we all figured that X would show up sometime again since you banished him from the kingdom a long time ago. And what's with Tyler. Does he think he's stigmatized for being gay??? I'm not sure he's going to make it. Benji's happy. Why can't Tyler be happy. He's not the all important jock anymore, but should he care? He's really lost without Josh to keep him grounded. It seems like he's lost all sense of identity and possibly respect. I'm worried about him in a sense. I think we know Josh can rescue him anytime however by just talking him through is insecurity.

Conner and Neal finally get some intimacy with Josh and Jake. Hell, even Wes got in on the fun in the shower. Is Conner really starting to loosen up some or did he just get drunk and didn't give a damn anymore? Tiz a puzzlement. There is a lot of puzzlement in this story. That's what makes it so damn interesting if you think about it. So I wonder what Conner will say to Josh after Cal is no longer present in their meeting. He seems a little pissed at Josh. At the same time, however, he just had an intimate time with him also. Now who's confused?

Can't wait for their conversation for planning to see what comes out of their strategy meeting. Good luck, is all I can say. Lay on the next chapter, FT. We need more. Can't get enough. BC

Oh boy, what a chapter.
So many things, so many questions and so many serious conversations about to happen.
I agree with HF's and BC's thoughts. And I'd like to add another "Oh boy."

Can't wait for the next chapters, because it will be impossible to fit all of these answers and conversations in only one chapter :corn:

As always, great work (y) so keep it coming FT, keep it cumming (y)

As HF, BC and Thanatos mentioned What a great chapter this was.

Forest likes Will but he doesn't seem to have the true love like Josh and Jake have where they would do anything to be by each others sides.

I'm excited for the next installment

Brian

Again some interesting comments. I liked what Brian noticed, that Will and Forest are not as close as Josh and Jake. We know the really care about each other, but Forest can't show t the way Will needs it. HF had so many questions it might take another 700 chapters to answer all of them. Oh my. We are getting closer to the Joseph question now that Cal got the FBI lab involved BC asks if Tyler can really make it being gay or is he too embarrassed to live that life after being a high school jock and stud, someone revered by mainstream standards, not for his character. We'll have to see.

This next chapter sets into motion a possible plan to help solve what's going on in the Uni underworld. Then there are some lighter moments also. If all goes well, I'll be back to you on Wednesday. You all take care and enjoy the rest of your weekend unless yours is over. Huggs, FT

Chapter 712 – Serious Strategic Planning and A New Business Is Born

The discussion we were having today was totally different from the one last night with Conner. While I trusted Conner totally, and listened intently to everything he told us last night, Cal seemed to have taken control over the planning and discussion we were having today. He spoke with authority and confidence, seemingly impressing me. It was ‘let’s share all the intel and then I’ll tell you what we need to do’, speaking with total confidence whatever the plan was, it would definitely work. I liked where he was going. I guess it was just the thought that the FBI was a lot bigger than our law enforcement here in Uni, and had a tremendous amount of resources compared to our local police department, not that I wouldn’t have trusted Conner to come up with the same type of plan, but I liked the approach Cal seemed to be taking.

“Conner has done a great job of explaining this situation with this X guy. I wish I had known about this before, but before last night, he wasn’t even on the horizon and hadn’t checked into the game yet. Now we have another player, for which side, we’re not so sure. He could either be a problem for W&S goons along with W&S or he could be reinforcement for the goons against W&S. If the goons want to take out W&S and there’s no problem with this X guy in them doing so, I’ve got no problem with that unless it involves any civilians that might get caught in the crossfire. We certainly don’t need collateral damage here in Uni. Let the bad guys kill each other off and save the taxpayers a shit ton of money, and not bog down the legal system. But, if the cartel is going to fight with the goons, then it could get dangerous for the citizens of Uni, which we want to avoid at all costs. I’ve already been in touch with the Bureau on our possible need for reinforcements if we think we might need them. We’ll have armored SWAT teams available at our request. If necessary, we can plow into W&S Construction Co. headquarters and blow the place up from the inside should the goons decide to hold out in there. From what Conner tells me, the thought was that X operated on his own back in the day when he had Trent working for him. Josh, do you know if Trent knew of any other guys working for this X guy at the time? I’m trying to establish whether X had any other allies in this town other than him and his boys. I’d like to know if there were others involved with this business of his and who those guys might have been,” Cal explained. I told Cal to give me a minute and I’d ask Trent. I called him on my cell.

“I hate to bother you, Trent, but we’re trying to work something out here. I could use your help up in my office on the eighth floor of the office building. I wasn’t sure if you were at the open house or not, but if you could tell Eric I need you for a minute and run over here, I’d really appreciate it,” I told him. Trent replied, then I laughed, and told him ‘no’, it was strictly business this time. “He’s on his way up,” I told the guys.

“What did you tell him ‘no’ for?” Cal asked, somewhat confused. I chuckled.

“He asked me if this involved sex, and I had to tell him ‘no’. My guys are a little crazy, which you very well know,” I replied. Conner said that wasn’t the half of it.

“Okay, while we’re waiting for Trent, Conner and I both agree that we need to reel Clay in closer to us. Josh, we think it’s time to bring him back to your apartment and him stay with you guys. If Kenny calls, he can always go back to meet him at his apartment, but we’ll have a couple of us in the parking lot ready to storm the place just in case. If we find out that X is involved with Kenny somehow, should he be the unknown call he got the other day, then Clay’s done with Kenny, unless Kenny is willing to turn confidential informant. Do you agree with that?” Cal asked.

“Whatever you guys think. You’re the experts. I’d love to have him close to us to know he’s safe. I don’t like the fact that he’s living by himself as he used to get threatened a while back, but that was when W&S were putting some heat on him to stop reporting on all their problems. We don’t trust Clay’s producer and I think his weekend co-anchor, who is fucking the producer, Hastings and Dickerson, is involved somehow in all of this mess. I don’t trust her, and I’m not sure if Kenny even trusts her,” I replied.

“We’ve got this Shelley on our watch list as a person of interest already. Conner was unaware of her until we talked this morning. She’s a real slut, Conner,” Cal remarked. Conner rolled his eyes, hearing about some of this stuff for the first time, probably wondering why we hadn’t clued him in before and still pissed at me for not obeying him as far as staying the hell out of any investigations. I had a feeling I would have a lot of explaining to do after this was all over, if and when, it ever ended. Right now we were just focused on keeping our heads low and staying safe while whatever was coming down the pike, played out.

There was a knock on the door and I got up to let Trent in. He gave me a quick hug, but got nervous when he saw Conner sitting there on the couch with Cal. He recognized Cal from the Sunday afternoon swim parties and helping tend bar on Gay Night. Luckily he didn’t acknowledge the swim party, even though Conner had seen Cal help us out on Gay Night under the auspice of Cal working undercover. If Conner only knew it was mostly fun for Cal not really much undercover work, Cal hoping to get laid by Jake and I afterwards, which did happen a couple of times and once in the back of Lucky’s pickup truck which we swore we’d never mention.

“Hey, guys. What’s up?” Trent asked, somewhat nervously. I told him we wanted to pick his brain as we thought he might have some information that might be useful to what may or may not happen in the near future. He looked totally dumbfounded.

“Trent, I think you know that there is an ongoing investigation going on here involving certain parties associated with the Weinsteins and Sewards, namely the fathers and the sons. I don’t have to explain all that to you because everyone in town knows what went down with them. We’re a little uncertain as to the fact there may be other players involved besides just that family and the mob they do business with. Conner and Josh have explained this X guy to me, the one that tried to kill you in Phoenix and basically enslaved you for hooking here in Uni. I’m hoping you can tell me a little more about him and any of his possible connections here in Uni,” Cal explained.

“God, I hate to even think about that man. If it hadn’t been for Conner and Josh here and the insistence of Thad that they help me, I might be a dead guy today. I still have nightmares about that horrible vicious man,” Trent replied, nervously. He shuddered even thinking of the guy.

“Did you know he was a member of a very powerful Mexican cartel?” Cal asked. Trent shook his head ‘no’.

“He was of Mexican origin for sure. That I knew. When I was imprisoned by him in Phoenix, there were several other Mexican men with him there. They were very mean to all of us they had trapped in this one building. When the authorities took the building, that’s when he tried to shoot me to keep me from ratting on him, we all fled even though I was wounded. I don’t know where they disappeared to from there,” Trent replied.

“They fled to Mexico again. The CIA is supposed to be keeping an eye on him and his men, but they’re very evasive and sneak back into the US with drugs and everything else,” Conner told us. Trent said he had no idea, but just hoped he never showed up here again.

“Did X have anyone else in town that you knew of that might have worked with him or did some of his bidding for him?” Cal asked. Trent shrugged his shoulders.

“I think he did, but I never saw them or knew who they were. I think he was involved, not only in prostitution, but drugs too. He might have known Spence and Simon for all I know since they were all involved in the same business it seems. We didn’t know that then, but we do now. Maybe Simon and Spence took over after he left town. I didn’t know any part of any of that business. He was a very secretive person and you weren’t allowed to ask, nor did you want to, very many questions. The less you knew, about what he did, the better. I still can’t believe he shot me that day, trying to kill me. What a ruthless son-of-a-bitch. He was pure evil. That much I know,” Trent replied.

“Were you ever aware of him having women prostitutes when you were involved with him?” Cal asked. Trent tried to think.

“At one time, I thought there were, but he never talked about them. There was this one girl that would call him from time to time and it sounded like he was giving her directions or getting information from her. He was on the streets constantly conducting business and it wasn’t just pimping. He was pretty heavily into drugs, from what I could tell, but I really didn’t want to know any of that business. Back then, the less you knew, the safer you were, until Phoenix, then it was all out kill whoever knew anything, me being one of his targets,” Trent explained.

“We were just trying to figure out if X had any connections to Spence and Simon or the dads. We don’t know of any, but we were trying to figure out if there was any connection at all,” Cal told him.

“Honestly, I didn’t know of any, but there very well could have been, and I’d never know. Like I said, he was into drugs and prostitution. He seemed to do a lot more business than just here in Uni, but I don’t know where else that would have been. Like I said, the less I knew the safer I felt,” Trent commented.

Chapter 712 - B

“Good man. Okay, well that helps somewhat. At least we know he was involved with selling and distributing drugs, which leads us to believe that he almost had to be involved with Spence and Simon at the time, either that or they moved in and took over his business when he had to leave town. That gives us a place to start and you’ve been most helpful,” Cal told him.

“He’s not planning on coming back, is he?” Trent asked, somewhat horrified. Cal smiled.

“Not unless he’s planning on spending the rest of his life in a penitentiary,” Cal replied, somewhat calming Trent’s nerves. Trent seemed relieved all of a sudden. “We’re just looking at all the known associates of these guys at the moment, past and present. Studying those will help us to figure out what their business framework is like. I think you’ve been a great help to us, actually. Thank you for your thoughts. If there is anything else you can possibly remember about any of his associates or business contacts, please let Josh know so he can make us aware, Trent. Thanks again for spending some valuable time with us,” Cal said, getting up off his couch, indicating to Trent it was time for him to leave.

“Josh, you need anything else?” Trent asked me.

“No, I think you’ve been a big help, Trent. I appreciate you helping out here,” I told him. He said he wasn’t sure he was much help, but if he was, he was glad he could be of help. I gave him a hug and told him I’d see him later. I closed the door when he left.

“So, I guess you decided not to tell him of the impending danger we thought we had last night and of the possibility it might return?” I asked Cal. Cal smiled.

“What and fuck up his day? Not a chance. We’ll give him plenty of notice and protection should we find out that X is on his way back. Trust me on that,” Cal told me. Conner shook his head as if to disagree.

“I think, in all honesty, you need to level with the guy, Cal. We would like for him to be vigilant and pay attention to things that might not be right. Arm him with knowledge and possibly a gun, is what I say. We don’t know what kind of danger might be involved here,” Conner said, somewhat disagreeing with Cal. Cal said there was no reason at the moment to make the poor kid worry his head off and fear any shadow he might see for what could be an eternity. We’d let him know in plenty of time. Conner didn’t agree, but let it go.

“Now, I think it’s safe to assume, and correct me if you think I’m wrong, but I think it’s almost certain that there was some kind of relationship between X and W&S folks since they were in the same business. One, or the other, had to be calling the shots and when X had to pull out of here, there was a vacancy that got filled by some other entity. I kind of think, by what we have observed here in town recently, that might be the mob. The cartels supply the mob and the mob supplies the regional distributors. My guess is, as long as X was in business here, he dealt directly with W&S on behalf of the cartel, but once he had to leave, he probably put together an arrangement for the mob to do the distribution to W&S. That added a level of an additional cut, the mob having to get their cut out of the sales, which possibly upped the price to W&S, since they no longer had a direct line to the ultimate supplier. The cartel didn’t lose anything because they still supplied the mob. There was just an extra layer of distribution there and another distributor to pay,” Cal explained. So far his theory seemed very logical. Could X have been a partner in W&S’ business back then? If he was distributing drugs he almost certainly had to be or there would have been war back then at the time. What Cal was thinking made sense. I was starting to appreciate and respect his intelligence more all the time as I listened to him evaluate the situation.

“I’d have to say there is a lot of sense in what you’re saying, Cal. I could accept that line of thinking,” Conner told him. Cal seemed pleased.

“So, if we were to accept that premise, would it not be possible that if X and W&S had a business relationship at the time, then maybe W&S was also participating in the prostitution business as well?” Cal asked. It seemed logical to Conner and me. “And if that were the case, is it possible that some of W&S’s lieutenants such as Kenny might know and have a possible relationship with X also?” Cal asked, trying hard to connect the dots. Conner and I both decided it was highly possible. “So, thinking along those lines, do you think this mysterious new player that contacted Kenny might possibly be this ‘X’ guy?” Cal asked.

“Now that you mention it, there is a distinct possibility you could be right about that,” Conner replied.

“So X contacts Kenny because he knows Kenny knows what’s going on here in town and X isn’t happy about it at all. He obviously knows Kenny isn’t happy with what all is going on, Kenny possibly telling him he’s had it with all these idiots and wants out, done with all of it. X makes Kenny think he can get him out of here when he cleans house of the corrupt mob and possibly even the W&S crime family including dumb and dumber? That possibly make sense to you guys?” Conner and I both thought it made sense, but whether it was true or not, we couldn’t tell. “Obviously something went wrong here between the mob and W&S to get the cartel involved again. It might have something to do with what Kenny told X, like maybe they were shortchanging the cartel somehow, taking a larger cut and reporting less sales in order to gain back some of the money they lost when dumb and dumber, Spence and Simon, fucked up and got raided, losing a shit ton of drugs, thus profits, not able to pay their bill. At any rate someone wants a piece of someone’s ass for what happened. That we know, which is why the goons are in town presumably taking over W&S’s business. It seems to me Kenny knows a lot more about what’s going on than he’s shared with Clay, which we know has been very little except for the fact he’s ‘working on ending his relationship’ with his employer. So, X comes to the rescue, at least telling Kenny that he’s here to help, which is probably the furthest thing from the truth. It seems to me something that Kenny has told him has brought X out of hiding and ready to jump into the fray. Don’t know what that could be, other than the cartel thinks the mob might be cheating them somehow. Obviously since X was working this area before, he has a personal interest in what’s going on. I can’t imagine he was too happy with Spence and Simon for their huge major fuckup,” Cal continued. Conner and I thought everything Cal speculated, made sense to a certain degree.

“Do you really think Kenny wants out, or is he vying for a higher position in the organization? Could it be possible Kenny wants to take over, and he’s hoping his relationship with X is going to put him in charge?” I asked.

“That’s a good question. So, you’re a good judge of human nature, Josh. What do you think?” Cal asked me.

“From the conversations with Clay, which he had no reason to lie to Clay about his personal feelings, unless he’s changed his mind, in light of X possibly entering the fight with the mob and W&S, I’d say he was genuine in his feelings he wanted out,” I replied.

“My sentiments exactly. We think a lot alike. Actually, we do have a lot in common,” Cal replied, giving me a little wink, which didn’t go unnoticed by Conner.

“Is there something you two need to tell me?” Conner asked. Cal and I chuckled.

“No, all is good. Cal is just a little whacked at times, Conner. You have to get to know him to understand,” I replied. I wasn’t sure Conner believed me, but he let it go.

“So, getting back to our conspiracy theories, if X steps in and corrects this injustice that he believes has taken place, do you really think he’s going to let Kenny walk away from this and start a new life somewhere else, or possibly here in town, knowing what he knows? Think about what he tried to do to Trent as he exited from Phoenix,” Cal replied.

“What I think you’re saying, is Kenny is as much as dead if X steps in. X only needs Kenny to get what he wants, and if Kenny doesn’t want to continue playing, there is no need for Kenny to exist. Afterall, Kenny knows all the dirty little secrets including where the bodies are buried. Is that what you’re saying?” I asked, somewhat concerned.

“That’s exactly what I’m saying. I’m sure any of my profiling buddies would tell you the same thing. I’m just cutting to what seems to me to be the obvious chase,” Cal replied.

“Now, if we could just get Kenny to turn CI, convincing him that any help he got from the X would only enslave him further or if allowed to leave, it would be in a pine box six feet under with his genitals removed before his death. That just might make him want to cooperate and be of some assistance to us. Catch my drift?” Cal asked.

“Makes perfect sense. But how do we get him alone to convince him of what’s going down without any of the interested parties finding out and taking him out?” I asked, concerned.

Chapter 712 - C

“Josh, we’ve somehow got to get Clay to lure Kenny back to Clay’s apartment and meet him there. At that point we either get his cooperation or arrest him for what he’s done already. I don’t think he wants to be arrested as that would almost certainly put a target on his head not wanting him to talk. We can protect him. Not only that but we fit him with a cockring also so we can listen to all his conversations with all the filth he has to deal with,” Cal suggested.

“That could work,” Conner commented. “What is this cockring thing you’re talking about?” Conner asked. Cal and I looked at each other and smiled. Cal explained to Conner how it worked. Conner shook his head, thinking that was the craziest thing ever. We assured him it worked and worked well. We told him Jules was wearing one also when he slept with his C&S Bank buddy in Chicago.

“Damn, I need to get me one of them and put it on Neal,” Conner chided. Cal and I looked at him funny. “I’m just kidding, but sometimes I’d like to hear what Lucky tells Neal in the locker room that gets Neal so excited. For the life of me, I can’t imagine what their conversations are all about, but they seem to excite Neal something crazy. He has the hots for Lucky like you wouldn’t believe. I swear Lucky is just teasing the shit out of him,” Conner replied. I had to laugh, knowing exactly what Lucky was doing.

“Lucky is a character, Conner, for sure,” I told him.

“There are times, I’d swear he was gay. I know how you saved his life, and sometimes I wonder if he didn’t trip over to our side when that happened, Josh,” Conner replied. I laughed, but didn’t reply to that one other than Lucky was a great guy and friend.

“Speaking of Lucky, we need to beef up security. Conner mentioned that to me this morning, and I highly agree. Conner seems to care about you for some reason, Josh. Can’t say as I blame him. I think we’re okay for the moment, but we need to start thinking of what needs to be done to get ready for whatever might come our way. I wouldn’t mind this Officer Lucky being assigned more to covering you guys, if that’s okay with Conner and Lucky,” Cal suggested.

“I’ll talk to the chief, tell him what’s going on from my briefing with the Feds, and see if he’ll allow Lucky to spend more time around the CNB, this office building, the dormitory and wherever else we think we could use him,” Conner offered.

“Okay, that helps, but do you have any more assets we could allocate to possible protective detail?” Cal asked. “I can spend some time with the guys possibly, but it’d be nice if there was someone that could actually stay in the apartment with the boys since Clay will be there with them,” Cal suggested.

“What, is that your way of saying you want to sleep over at our apartment now too?” I asked. Cal smiled.

“Obviously I won’t be able to do that full time since I’ll be basically running this task force until the eminent danger passes. You have any recruits that are capable, Conner, at least with firearms training?” Cal asked.

“Let me check with the academy. I know we have a few newbies, but I’m not sure who all is firearms certified without checking,” Conner replied.

“Check to see if this Rowan guy is certified, Conner. He works as a guard for the office building here on Saturday and Sunday and filled in for you and Neal last Saturday night. I think you arranged for him to help Lucky that night. He seemed to be good help, and I know the kid was complaining about his housing expenses and just getting by. He could live with us rent free that way. That might be an easy solution,” I suggested.

“You’re not going to fuck him, are you?” Conner asked, tongue in cheek. I chuckled.

“No, Conner. He’s straight as a matter of fact. I think he even has a girlfriend. I don’t think he has anything to worry about from us, other than we might spoil him with good food and drink when he’s not on duty,” I replied.

“I’ll check him out and let you know what I find out. If he liked you guys last Saturday night and you liked him, that might help with having him there in the evenings able to man a handgun in case anyone tries to storm the place,” Conner replied. I told him it worked for me.

“Okay, so let’s look at our take-a-ways here. Conner will check on Lucky and the Rowan person for personal protection detail. Conner and Neal will be available at times, along with me, to help out in that area. We need to have a conversation with Clay about luring in Kenny to seek his cooperation to get to the bottom of what might be going down. He’s obviously broken a lot of laws and been involved in drug trafficking for some time, so he’s not immune from prosecution. I’ll see if I can get him some kind of relief from extreme prosecution, if possible, maybe even a suspended sentence for his actions as he seems like a fairly straight shooter. Well, that is unless he’s with Clay and then he’s a shooter alright, but not straight,” Cal said, making us both chuckle.

“I don’t even want to know,” Conner replied. Cal told Conner to ask Lucky about him as Lucky was with us one night on a stakeout. “What the fuck, guys. You’re using my assets on cases I know nothing about? That’s bullshit,” Conner protested.

“Lucky was off-duty and volunteered, Conner. He wasn’t acting in his official capacity. He was just helping out,” Cal told him. Conner didn’t look happy.

“I just want to get this damn thing over with and get our town free of all this corruption. This is crazy shit for small university town in rural America to have going on,” Conner remarked. Cal and I had to agree.

“The sooner we get to this, the sooner we get it over with,” Cal told us. I was ready to end it all as quickly as possible.

“Okay, let’s get this meeting over with, as we all have a lot of work to do,” Cal said, hoping to conclude the meeting. ‘Nice place to meet, Josh. We may have to meet more often, now that you have such a great place to meet,” Cal commented. I shook my head at him.

“You should stop in and see Will down the hall. His office is just down the hall. I’m sure he’d be glad to see you, Cal,” I suggested. Cal got all excited, saying he might just do that. Cal shook hands with Conner, telling him he’d be in touch later this afternoon to touch bases. That left Conner and me by ourselves. Conner said he should go too.

“Are you okay, Conner?” I asked, wondering if I should ask that question. He gave me a stern look.

“All I want for you is to be safe, Josh. You know I deeply care about you and yet you disobeyed me getting involved with all of this shit when you should have stayed away. I know I’m not your boss, but I’m your friend and care about you maybe more than I should. At least you could have told me what was going on and spare me from having to hear it from the Fed guy,” Conner said. I know I looked guilty as hell.

“I should have insisted that you be part of this from the onset, Conner. For that I hardily apologize. I care about you also. By the way, last night was really wonderful. I felt so close to you last night having our shower together,” I told him with a big smile. I swear he couldn’t help but smile too.

“I think I made a huge fool out of myself, Josh. That never should have happened, and I’m embarrassed about it today,” he replied. I grabbed him and hugged him.

“You didn’t embarrass yourself or me, Conner. We should have done that a long time ago. It was a long time in coming, and maybe someday, we can have an even more intimate experience between the two of us, as I’d like nothing better than that to happen, but it’s up to you,” I told him as I hugged him tightly. I swear he had a little tear in his eye.

“Life has certainly been different since that day you first walked into my office on behalf of Erin. It was at that meeting I knew I liked you and could trust you. I never sensed someone so caring for a friend as you were. I just felt like Erin was a lucky guy to have you as a friend and I knew in my heart he’d be fine in your care. Hell, look at him now. That’s why I knew Dylan would be fine in your care also. Look at him now. He went from a male prostitute living on the streets to a Director of Operations at one of the largest construction companies in the state, one that you helped to create also. You have a knack with people, Josh. You have a huge heart and you really care. I’d be dumb and heartless not to care about you the way I do. That’s one of the reasons I feel compelled to protect you as best I can. I hope that doesn’t bother you, but I can’t help myself,” Conner admitted. I hugged him again.

“That’s why I care about you so much, if you’d let me show it a little more often. I understand you not wanting to get more involved emotionally and all, but sometimes you just have to let your defenses down and enjoy what life provides you, the friends that you can’t help but love. That’s what we have, Conner. I’m not embarrassed about it or afraid to say it. You are one of my most coveted friends that I love and care about, and I’d do anything to help you or enjoy our friendship together. So what if we get naked together and have a little fun, showing some kind of intimacy because we both feel it and should enjoy it. No one gets hurt in the process but the bounds of friendship are only strengthened. You’re great in your job and what you do. You are one of the most respected officers on the force. I trust you with my life. Still, I have to hold you and hug you and anything else that would make you happy to show you how much I care. I hope that doesn’t bother you because that’s just the way I am and I can’t help it. Trust me, it’d be a lot easier sometimes if I could, but that’s just me,” I told him.

Chapter 712 - D

“Don’t ever change, Josh. I love you just the way you are. You’re family as far as I’m concerned, you and Jake,” Conner replied. I told him I felt the same way about him and Neal. He kind if chuckled when I mentioned Neal. “Neal, he’s crazy about you guys. If it was up to him he’d have the whole lot of you fuck that hungry ass of his. He just thinks you guys are the greatest and the sexiest. He said we should quit our jobs on the police force and join SE. I have to remind him we ware public servants and our duty is to protect the citizens of Uni, not to satisfy our hedonistic desires which he would gladly do. Just have to settle him down at times,” Conner remarked. I had to chuckle. “Anyway, I need to run. I’ll check on this Rowan guy and see if he’s capable of helping you any or if he’s too green to even consider. Checking ID’s is one thing, but wielding a firearm is another. I’m not even sure he owns one,” Conner replied.

“Hey, I’ll buy him whatever he needs,” I replied.

“You mean you’ll reimburse him for what he buys as you can’t buy a gun for someone else. You’d be in so much trouble for that, I couldn’t begin to help you,” Conner said, shaking his head.

“Whatever and however. You just tell me what to do to keep it all legal and it’s taken care of. We might want to get a pair of padded handcuffs also, so if you’re over again I can handcuff you to the bedpost and have my way with you. You know, get a little kinky and have some fun,” I teased. Conner shook his head laughing.

“You wouldn’t have to handcuff me for that, Josh. Damn, but you are getting crazier all the time, not that I don’t like it as you come up with some fun stuff for sure. Last night was fun, just so you know. Glad to know we’re still friends,” Conner said, giving me another tight hug. I wanted to melt in his arms.

“You have too much stuff on your belt. I can’t feel your dick when you hug me, with all those guns, tasers, clip holders, handcuff holders. That damn belt of yours must have 50 pounds hanging on it, not to mention your bullet proof vest. I can’t even chew on your nipples with all that shit hanging off you,” I teased. Conner shook his head, telling me I was so bad, but said he wasn’t taking any of it off for me to cop a feel. I laughed. “Don’t worry, I’ll get my feel again sometime. You can count on that,” I replied. He told me he wouldn’t doubt that for a second, nor would he care. I blew him a kiss as he took off.

I walked down the hall to see if Cal was still here. Will was, but I didn’t see Cal. “Did Cal come by to see you?” I asked Will. Will rolled his eyes.

“He came in and said, ‘hi, sexy, did you have a good weekend with Forest?’ Honestly, Josh, that guy is something else,” Will replied.

“I know. He’s even hotter naked, in case you haven’t noticed,” I replied.

“Don’t remind me. I try not to think about that,” Will replied. “He filled me in on what was going on and the protection you guys are planning. He said not for me to worry as he was there to protect me and Forest when he sleeps over. Not sure what he had in mind, and don’t know if I really want to know. He probably wants to sleep with us and use his gun between his legs. At least he was serious for a moment when he talked about what you guys were talking about. This is kind of scary, Josh. Cal acted like it was routine. He did say he’d like to talk to Forest and me together to enlighten us on how to be vigilant. Again, I’m not sure what he has in mind regarding being vigilant. I guess Conner is finally up to speed now also?” Will asked.

“Totally, although I think he’s still pissed at me for getting involved in this after he warned us not to. I told him it was kind of hard not to be involved when your close friend was deeply involved with someone that was capable of blowing this case wide open. He just cares about us too much, which I’m glad he does. God knows we could use all the help we can get dicking around with the mob. I just hope the mob doesn’t realize what all we’ve been up to,” I replied. Will said he hoped they didn’t know either.

“I don’t want to wake up some morning with your bloody dismembered penis beside me in bed. That would not be cool,” Will commented, making me cringe.

“Believe me when I say, I don’t want that to happen either. Couldn’t live without my dick. So, Conner’s checking into some protection for us. Lucky is going to start spending more time around us, and we’re looking at another kid who’s currently in the police academy trying to become a police officer. If he’s good with firearms, then he might have some potential, as he can hardly afford his apartment at the moment, so he could possibly live with us in our apartment, make some additional money and not have to pay for housing for himself. Could be a win-win for everyone,” I mentioned.

“Is he cute?” Will asked right off the bat. I had to chuckle.

“He’s okay, kind of skinny and spindly to the point Lucky doesn’t think he’ll make it through the academy, but he’s good enough to be our guard on duty on the weekends here at the office building where I met him last Saturday. He told Mal and I he had a girlfriend, sort of, which sounded more hopeful to me than real. He helped Mal and I get Stoney’s desk to my office and seemed personable, then filled in for Conner and Neal at the CNB for Gay Night checking ID’s working with Lucky,” I replied.

“Wo, wait. Malachi was here this last weekend?” Will asked somewhat shocked. I broke out in a huge smile.

“Sure was. He called me up Saturday morning, and asked if he could bring Stoney’s desk over. I’m surprised you didn’t notice it when you were in my office this morning,” I replied. Will looked more than a little shocked.

“So how long did he stay? Did he bring Amy?” Will asked in rapid succession.

“No, he came by himself and went back on Sunday. He said to tell you hi for him when you got back from your trip,” I replied, hoping he wouldn’t ask too many questions.

“Where’d he stay then?” Will asked, extremely curious.

“He stayed with us in the apartment. He helped us tend bar on Gay Night, filling in for you which was a big help,” I replied.

“Did he take a shower with you guys?” Will asked, dying to know.

“Of course, he did. Not the first time I’ve seen him naked. He even spent some time at the house on Sunday before he headed back. He was right there with us totally naked like the rest of us guys. I introduced him to all the guys. He was fine, Will. He is a fine-looking dude, though, naked or dressed. Too bad he’s straight,” I commented.

“You’ve got that right. If there was any chance of him being gay at all, I’d be all over himm and never let him out of my arms. There’d be no Forest, Cal or anyone else but Mal,” Will replied, half-excited. I chuckled. “Wait, where’d he sleep?” Will asked concerned. I gave him a weird look.

“Will, we have a whole extra bedroom now that Clay is staying at his apartment and a couch for Heaven’s sake. We had plenty of room, believe me,” I replied, avoiding the question directly. He seemed relieved to hear that.

“Damn, if I’d been in town he could have stayed with me. I do remember him saying the weekend you got back from Florida he’d bring the desk over. Darn, I wish I’d been here. Drat. Just palling around with him would have been more fun than the weekend I had with Forest. As straight as Mal is, he’s much more thoughtful and attentive than Forest at times. He’d have held my hand in public and wouldn’t give a shit,” Will replied. I gave Will a weird look for that. “Well, you know what I mean. Mal is so thoughtful and attentive. He’s just the greatest guy ever. Did anything happen in the showers between you two?” Will asked.

“Really, Will? The dude is straight so we took turns fucking him and him fucking us, what did you think?” I replied, facetiously in my smartass way, although I spoke the truth. Will chuckled.

“I’m sorry. I don’t know why I even asked. Just one time, I wish he’d fuck me senseless then I’d be happy for life,” Will replied rather dreamily. I wanted to tell him it was worth everything to make that happen, having experienced it myself, but that was never to be talked about.

“You don’t’ really mean that. He loves all of us, so just be happy with that. He did say he was sorry that he missed you, though. You mean a lot to him, Will. He’s always said that,” I said, Will almost ready to melt at those words. Will kept saying he just should have been here. I patted him on the back, then told him we needed to go to lunch.

Chapter 712 - E

The entire senior management group gathered for lunch including Taylor joining us. We quickly ordered, then I got right down to business, filling in all the guys on what Cal, Conner and I discussed this morning, including the theories we had as to what might be going down. I could see the uneasiness this was creating amongst our group. I assured them that Conner was working on additional security details as we were going to beef them up. While we thought most of us were invisible to most of these guys at the moment, that could quickly change, especially if we reigned in Kenny making him a confidential informant. There were a lot of questions as to whether he would even agree to doing something like that. I explained, unless he fled the country, he almost had to with all of his unlawful activity over the years. He could be looking at some serious time. Nate said that was true, so what choice did the boy have. Still, I wasn’t sure he’d cooperate maybe even bolt, but then where would he go?

Eric came over to us and told me there were two guys behind me at the bar that were staring at us, saying they had a presentation to make. I remembered Bear and Owen then and the beer they wanted us to taste. I told Eric to send them over and bring some empty beer glasses. They were dressed in t-shirts and shorts, just typical college guys during the summer. They looked a little shy when they arrived. I introduced them to all the guys. They were still timid.

“How can you guys be shy when you were dancing in thongs on Saturday night to a huge crowd of guys that wanted you to ravage their naked bodies in the worst way. I mean really,” I told them. They both looked embarrassed.

“That was different and this is now. We didn’t have anything to lose with that gig except the contest. This is like the trial of our lives right here with what you said might be possible if this stuff was any good,” Bear replied.

“Relax, we won’t eat you. We might fuck you, but we won’t eat you,” I teased, making them laugh.

“Well, fucking’s fine with us. We like getting fucked for sure, especially with guys as hot as you guys are,” Owen replied. I shook my head at him, telling him to relax.

“So, we just going talk about this or are we going to try it?” I asked, as Eric brought empty beer glasses over.

“Okay, now this is one of our first batches, but we love it the best. It’s a special IPA somewhere between a single and a double. Alcohol content by volume (ABV) is approximately 7.5% so it can grab you by the balls if you’re not careful, but it’s not too high where you can’t enjoy several,” Owen explained. Bear started drawing beer from his pony keg, and handing them over to the table. I told him not too much in each glass, as we did have to work this afternoon. After each of us had a sample in our glasses, we smelled it. You could smell the hoppiness. It smelled like an IPA for sure. After we examined the color and smelled the aroma, it was time to taste it. We each took a taste then swirled it around in our moths, then took another sip.

“OMG, this shit is fantastic,” I said, then heard the same thing echoed by most of us. “Wow, guys. I think you might have stumbled onto something with this,” I replied to their excited smiles.

“Gees, definitely. This is some really good shit,” Blake said, followed by Will and Jake. Both Bear and Owen were beaming.

“Glad you guys like it. We played around with several different types of batches, but we liked this one the best,” Bear informed us. I told him I wasn’t sure what the rest of his batches tasted like, but this was fantastic. I had Eric bring us a couple of glasses of our IPA we loved up until we tasted this. Both Bear and Owen tried that, saying it was some damn good shit also, but they liked theirs better. We all had to agree with them.

“Okay, I’d say we are definitely interested in helping you guys get started. How about a 51/49 partnership, and we put up all the money to get you into business?” I asked. I got hugged by both of them. At the moment, we have too many irons in the fire, so I need you guys to put together a plan to produce the beer for sale here and in the City at the CNB there. We’ll start off small, then build up the business as we go. We’ll need to look at canning it down the road also. At the beginning we’ll just go with kegs and pony kegs to start with. Look around town for a abandoned building that we might be able to fix up somewhat to make a micro-brewery out of it to produce the beer. Put together a proposal for the equipment you’ll need, and give me lead times on getting the stuff here. Make sure the building is sufficiently large enough to expand the operations as I have a feeling you might have another Samuel Adams on your hands. I’ve tasted a lot of great beers in my day, but nothing quite like this, guys. I mean this is really something,” I told them. I thought they were going to cry as they hugged each other. “Hey, you guys should be excited about this, not sad. If there is one thing everyone in our organization likes, it’s beer. Believe me when I say we have enough guys to drink this stuff to get it off the ground and take off right out of the gate,” I told them.

“We need to check into the licensing for production of beer also with the Bureau of Alcohol, Firearms and Tobacco, ATF,” Owen informed us. I told him it was up to him and Bear to put together the plan to produce it and license it. He was to see Jordan for money once we approved the plan and their budget.

“Don’t sell yourselves short either. We need to set you guys up with a weekly distribution, a nice beginning salary to keep you guys going so you can devote your full time to this venture. You need to quit your day jobs right away and get started on this. Jordan and Nate will give you their information and you see them to get you started,” I told them. Let us know when you think you have something you want to get approved to get started, and we’ll have another meeting with you two. Sound like a plan?” I asked them.

“Oh, Josh, this is like a dream come true. Bear and I couldn’t be more excited. We won’t let you down. We also have some other types you need to try also, like a hazy IPA and a New England style IPA. We can even do Lagers, but what you tasted today is our most prized formula,” Owen shared.

“Makes sense to have more than one, but you need this as your signature IPA to start with,” I replied. They both agreed. “Okay, looks like you two are in bed with us, so get ready to make some bucks and hopefully become famous in the process,” I told them, making them even more excited. Bear and Owen went around shaking hands with everyone at the table, but they hugged me. Both of them felt nice to hug also. I told them not to be strangers and if they wanted to show up and dance again on Saturday nights or just hang out with us, they were both welcome as they were joining the family as far as I was concerned. “Oh, and leave the keg. We’re going to have more of that this evening when the rest of our guys show up. I’ll buy you all the kegs you need, but this one stays with us,” I announced. They replied, ‘gladly’. I swear they walked out of the CNB two feet in the air, they were so excited.

“Okay, Mr. Financier who should be on Shark Tank for the deal you just made, what do you want to do with this?” Jordan asked.

“Just what I told them. We’ll own 51% to their 49% and have controlling interest. Work out a deal similar to what we have with other partners where they have equity in the business, similar to Tom and James in our aviation business, only they don’t have that kind of percentage, but they’re making terrific money anyway and have stock in SE which is even better. Look into a stock deal in SE for them also, I suggested. You, Nate and Ken work it out. Hell, even get our new HR Director involved, and draw up some contract for us to look at,” I instructed.

“Would you rather put them through Invescor instead, use equity banking financing?” Ken asked.

“I think we want this in our fold. I truly think it can be big. Once we get rolling, those two can figure out how to ship it all our other bars. We’ll give our patrons free samples to get them to switch from their brands and then see about distributing this nationally. The margins will be fantastic over what we make off our regular brands. I think this will be damn profitable for us, unlike if we put them through Invescor. Hell, the investment we’re about to make may even be less than Invescor’s minimum for all we know. I don’t think we’re talking about that much money here, guys. I think beer is fairly cheap to produce. But then we need to find out,” I replied. Jordan said it made sense.

The guys were leaving after our luncheon meeting. I told Jake I might be over to the dorm, or I might not. I was going to see if I could get hold of Clay to talk to him some about Kenny’s situation and our approach to that situation. Plus, I needed to hear back from Conner on the security side. Jake gave me a quick kiss, telling me he’d see me when he saw me, then took off with Blake.

I told Eric to keep that pony keg with the new beer in the refrigerated area, as we would be tasting it later this evening for our beer-thirty time slot. Eric chuckled, but promised it would be good and cold when we showed up for happy hour. I also talked to him again about the Thursday night celebration for Tuck and friends. He said he had everything handled, plenty of finger foods and all the liquor and beer they could drink. I told him not to get too crazy. Eric said, we wouldn’t charge any of the guests for Tuck’s party, so not to worry. We weren’t going to close the rest of the bar anyway, but Eric was going to cordon off an area on the backside of the bar for all of us to party with Tuck. That worked as far as I was concerned.

Chapter 712 - F

That settled, I headed back to the office building and my office. At some point in time, I wanted to go through Stoney’s entire desk to see what all might be there that would astound me. I had a feeling that desk was full of information just waiting to be discovered. I had envisioned a treasure trove of interesting things, some possibly naughty even, which I’d love to find. Who knew what secrets there were in that desk of his.

I called Clay and asked him if he had time to pop over to my office to discuss our ongoing investigation. He said he had time and would be right over. In the meantime, I opened up a lower larger file drawer in Stoney’s deck and started going through the files there. I found a rather large file marked ‘Ranch’. I pulled it out and started going through it. There was information in there where his dad had purchased a good bit of the land a long time ago. I was amazed at how inexpensive land was back then as opposed to now, knowing what farm land went for in my part of the country where I grew up. There were several pictures in there of Stoney’s father with Stoney as a very young man, in his early teens. Damn, if he wasn’t cute. He was thin and lanky as a teenager, probably all dick and balls at the time. Gave my dick a little twitch just looking at his picture. He looked a little full of himself in the picture, making me smile. His dad was nice looking also. There were pictures of his dad with a crew of guys building fences and some corrals. Another picture had his dad standing beside a very handsome young man with his arm around the guy’s shoulder. It wasn’t Stoney. My mind wandered, wondering if his dad was as bad as Stoney was, having sex with other guys. Remembering some of he stories Stoney told about his dad, which I was never sure if they were true or not, one would think the old boy had a good time himself. I found a plot plan of the property in the file, showing his property at that time was only a fourth of what it was today. I guessed he kept buying adjoining property until it became the size it was today. I noticed the hill where we interned Stoney’s ashes wasn’t even in the original parcel of land for the ranch. I figured either Stoney or his father found some value to that hill and decided to buy it when they could. Deeper into the file, there were more plot plans that showed different parcels that were bought over the years until what it was today. I wondered what possessed his father, or Stoney, to buy up as much land as they did back then, as we had more than enough land for everything we were doing today there on the ranch. I knew Stoney always had a reason for doing what he did, so he must have had something in mind, I thought to myself. I was really getting lost in the history of the ranch when I got a call from Clay asking me how to get up to me on the eighth floor. I told him which elevator to use, then used my phone to give him access to our floor. Clay was impressed when he walked in the elevator and it immediately took him to the eighth floor where I met him. I had to use my phone to give us access back into my area. Clay was impressed at how secure the building was and how nice our offices were.

As I closed the door to the office, Clay grabbed me and hugged me. “You okay, Clay?” I asked him/

“Josh, I want this thing to be over. I’m so tired of this, not knowing if Kenny is okay or what all he’s involved with. For all I know, he might be just as bad as the others, but I don’t think he is. But what if he is, and I have to play like I love him. This is just fucked up and I’m so tired of it,” Clay told me, as he hugged me tightly. I ran my hand up and down his back as I held him.

“I think it’s time you moved back in with us. I have this fear that Kenny’s going to show up at your apartment and there are going to be guys following him, finding out he’s talking and sometimes sleeping with you, which will do nothing but endanger you, Clay. I don’t’ want him meeting at your place anymore without backup in the parking lot. We can’t be too careful,” I told him.

“I’m ready to come back, Josh. I’m there by myself and I never know who or what might just knock down my door sometime and what might happen. Enough is enough. I need to be near friends that I trust. I’ll be over tonight after I get off work for sure,” he assured me. I told him that’d make me happy. “Me too, plus I’m kind of horny and I know how wonderful you guys are in that respect,” he suggested. I kind of groped his junk, making him chuckle.

‘Well, we’ll just have to see if we can take care of that situation and make it better. Plus, you’ll be happy to know that Wes is back and the two of you are sharing a room,” I reminded him.

“Wes is back for the summer?” Clay asked, getting somewhat excited.

“Yes and he’s horny too. Jake and I wore him out last night, but I’m sure he’ll be ready to go later tonight, so that hot ass of yours has got a cock headed its way. If not from Wes, then certainly from Jake and me. Keep that in mind,” I told him. I got hugged tightly again.

“You guys are just the best. Now, if we could just get this Kenny thing to end and life back to normal, I’m all for that,” he remarked. I told him we had a plan. He was all ears.

Excellent chapter!

Cal and Josh both showed decisiveness and authority. Clay showed frustration and concern. Bear and Owen showed excitement. Will showed disappointment.

I always particularly enjoy chapters that deal with SE business. This new venture is exciting. Bear & Owen's Superior IPA has a nice ring to it. B&O for short! Josh has handed the boys a good challenge. I don't think we know what they're majoring in (do we?) but they'd better be good at planning and project management, as well as brewing craft beer. If they're sufficiently clever and ambitious they'll impress Josh and be set for life.

Will seemed to be saying he has deep feelings for Mal and would love a close relationship with him. Forest certainly seems to be on the way out, and Mal would seem to be a perfect partner for Will, IF he didn't live in another town and IF he didn't insist on living straight. But both of those things are reversible in your clever hands, FT! We'll just have to wait and see what you have planned for Will's love life.

And what else will Josh find in Stoney's desk eventually? Will he discover the reason his father kept buying land? Was it for another business venture, that SE might now pursue? Hoping for more secrets to come to light in the desk.

And looking forward to the next chapter!

Cheers, HF

I very much agree with what HF referred to in his remarks. I was impressed with Cal's analytical ability and posturing. I think Conner was also, although he was upset with Josh for not telling hm about what he was up to. I'm sure Josh hasn't heard the last from Conner on that issue. Poor Clay. He doesn't know which way to turn these days. I have a feeling he's tired of the whole charade. I think he's eager for something to come to a head. Moving back in with Josh and Co. should make him happy again.

Got to love the ever expanding business of Stoney Enterprises. I think beer is an excellent venture for the guys. Like HF said, Bear and Owen have one hell of an opportunity all because they brewed a batch of good beer. Well, they also wagged their weenies on Gay Night, winning the contest and getting Josh's attention. Nice to be noticed. I guess if you got it, you might as well flaunt it. I have a feeling there will be more businesses coming once Josh has time to spend looking at them. Let us not forget, he has Tyler looking at some bars in Key West. Could be another CNB coming our way.

Will does love Mal, which was Mal's major concern as to why he couldn't ever have sex with Will. Mal is in love with Amy, but enjoys the closeness of Josh and Jake because he can enjoy them with no strings attached. I think Mal thinks that if he should ever have sex with Will, Will would misread it as something else. Even though he might deny it was, he'd be hung up on it until it might be self-destructive. We all know what it's like to love a straight guy. You can't win that one.. Sooner or later it ruins a friendship if things can't be kept in perspective. That's one hard lesson to learn.

Love the secrets of the desk thing, FT. Something tells me you're going to have fun with this one. I can only imagine what kind of secrets or stories that desk will give up. Instead of seeds, I think you just planted a garden. Wow, that gives us an infinite amount of possibilities to look forward to. Can't wait. Bring it on. BC

I agree with HF and BC about this chapter.
We've got a new beer, a new side of Cal, some "parenting" from Conner and secrets from Stoney's desk.
And Clay is back safe at the apartment with Josh and the others (*8*)

So many ways to go for this story, and I can't wait :corn:

As always, great work (y) so keep it coming FT, keep it cumming (y)

I agree with what HF,BC and Thanatos commented about this chapter.

Conner will probably be bent out of shape that Josh didn't listen to him and stay out of the way like he was told and what's worse in Conners mind is that Josh didn't tell him the plans beforehand.

I'm excited for the next installment.

Brian

Thanks for the comments as ever guys. I just barely made my deadline for tonight as I had a busy week of sorts. Go figure. Anyway, glad that you guys like the idea of becoming brewers of beer. After all, our guys do love their beer. I'm sure Conner loves Josh too much to be too upset with him. He kind of mellowed. He's very concerned about Josh, no doubt. Who doesn't love Josh, after all.

So we solve a major mystery in this next chapter. I didn't leave you with a cliffhanger on this one, as it was time to be resolved, albeit a little comical somewhat resulting in a problem for Will. I hope you enjoy this next chapter, and I will endeavor to get back to you on Saturday. Have a great rest of the week. Huggs, FT

Chapter 713 – Making Clay Happy, Solving A Major Mystery and Setting Up Security

Not only was Clay excited to know he was going to receive some intimate attention this evening when he moved back into the apartment, but he was extremely anxious to hear about our plan to ‘fix’ things with Kenny once and for all. He was excited, but nervous at the same time, not knowing what all might be involved on his part. I just needed to lay out what Conner, Cal and I had talked about then see if he was with us as to our plan. I was almost sure he would be.

“So, Conner, Cal and I had a meeting this morning. More information just recently surfaced that could put Kenny in extreme danger, only he perceives it as someone that wants to help him. We think it’s more likely that this person may use him, and then most likely kill him. We’re not for certain who this new individual is that he’s communicating with, but we have a good idea,” I started off saying.

“When did all this new information come about?” Clay asked.

“Just yesterday from what I’m told. You didn’t know this, but Kenny used the burner phone we gave him to call someone else other than you. We think he called another bad dude that used to operate her in Uni, the one that virtually enslaved Trent and used him as a prostitute. We think he, and his connections, were the original suppliers of drugs to the W&S organization. He definitely had to leave town and kidnapped Trent, taking Trent with him. There was a standoff with cops in Phoenix as they tried to breakup his human trafficking ring and save the boys. In the midst of his departure this guy tried to kill Trent. He shot him, but it wasn’t life threatening. Thus, we have Trent with us today, thankfully. Anyway, the guy goes by the name of X. He’s really a member of a very powerful Mexican cartel and very dangerous. We think that Kenny called him and asked for his help in getting out of the local W&S organization,” I explained.

“Why would he call someone like that for help? Good grief, he just can’t make any right decisions if that’s the case,” Clay replied.

“My sentiments exactly. The boy isn’t the brightest dude, in case you haven’t figured that out yet,” I replied.

“You can say that again. He’s been sweet to me, but it seems like he just digs himself deeper holes all the time. But, calling in a guy like this doesn’t make any sense,” Clay stated.

“We think he knows X has a lot of stroke with W&S, Clay. Maybe Kenny had a good relationship with X when he operated in this town and considers him a friend or mentor of sorts. This X is obviously upset with what’s going on here with the mob and W&S. Who knows, maybe the mob has been shorting the cartel or exposing them somehow. Whatever it is, this X is a ‘fixer’ of sorts and is coming in to ‘fix’ whatever is wrong. Our guess is that Kenny if feeding him inside information in exchange to get him the hell out of his situation and let him be free to start a new life with you, so he thinks,” I replied. Clay looked dumbfounded.

“Like I approve of the company he keeps, so I’d jump at the chance to start a new life with him? Kenny isn’t bright at all. Good grief. There was a time when I thought I might have some deep feelings for the boy, and wanted to help him out in the worst way, but damn, I don’t think he can get out of his own way,” Clay commented, making me chuckle.

“It seems as if that might be the case, Clay. Anyway, it’s Cal’s and Conner’s opinion that this X will use Kenny to get what he wants in the way of reparations for whatever went wrong here with Simon, Spence and their dads, then set up a new system after he eliminates everyone that knows anything about what goes on. This might entail a war with the goons in town also. Cal and Conner would like to avoid that if at all possible. Something like that could get a lot of innocent people hurt in the crossfire,” I explained. Clay seemed to agree.

“So, what do you need me to do?” Clay asked, anxious to hear the details.

“We need you to get Clay back to your apartment somehow. Then Conner and Cal will interrogate him and offer him a way out that might work for him. He’s going to have to wear a cockring like the one you wore, so we can listen in on some of the conversations at some of their meetings to see if we can determine how we can bring this whole organization down once and for all,” I explained.

“You think he’ll do it?” Clay asked. I smiled.

“He will if he wants to survive this thing. I don’t see he has any choices. I think we can convince him this X, he seems dependent upon, is really a killer and he’s being setup. Plus this is a way to get him out of this mess, help make this right and then receive a lesser sentence for all the crimes he’s committed. Does he really have a choice?” I asked. Clay shook his head.

“This time he’s fucked regardless, but I’d rather take our kind of fucking than what he’s facing where he’s at,” I replied.

“So, will this lead to taking down all the bad actors here, like Dickerson, Hastings and possibly even Aikens?” Clay asked.

“Speaking of them, this X guy, if that’s the one that Kenny called, mentioned Shelley’s name. He wanted to know if she was still working with the organization, we guessed anyway. Is she hooking or what?” I asked Clay if he had any idea as to that relationship. Clay looked concerned.

“Hell, we know she’s at the center for all these supposedly important guys. She’s even present when the money gets dropped and fucks all those old dried-up cocks. For all I know she could be running hookers, including herself. It wouldn’t surprise me in the least. She and Aikens spend a lot of time together. I wouldn’t put it past him to be involved in this somehow. Shit, Josh, this just gets worse the more we find out. How horrible is all of this right in front of our noses? It makes me sick. We’ve got to clean house,” He replied, then took a deep breath. “Okay, so when do you want me to try to get Kenny over to the apartment?” Clay asked nervously. “He’s going to hate me for this, but I really don’t give a shit. It’s time all his trash gets cleaned up.”

“I’ll let you know the time table. At the present, this X guy got as close as Chicago, then something spooked him and he fled back to Mexico. So, we’re not sure when to turn Kenny into a confidential informant. Soon, though. I can tell you that,” I replied. Although Clay wasn’t excited about luring Kenny in for Cal, he was excited that his part might be coming to an end. “You going to be okay with this?” I asked Clay still seemingly nervous.

“I’ll be fine. I just have to convince him to show up. The rest is up to Cal and whoever he brings with him. My part is done then. I just hope Kenny doesn’t get pissed and tip any of is goons off as to me being a bad guy as far as their organization is concerned. I’d hate for that to happen making me a target for something he can say he knew nothing about. You don’t think he’d be that vindictive, do you?” Clay asked. I had to stop and think about that one.

“We can make sure when Cal talks to Kenny, that he lets Kenny know, should anything happen to you at all, he’s going down for it and any leniency offered would be null and void and that he’d be subject to an immediate arrest. No deals if something happens to you,” I suggested. Clay liked the sound of that.

“I don’t think he’d want to harm me, but you never know what guys like him, living outside the law, might want to do,” Clay replied.

“We know he wants to fuck you, but in a good way so far,” I chided. Clay chuckled, then scooted up beside me and hugged me.

“I’d rather you fuck me, Josh. I love it when you fuck me. I’m so fucking horny for you right now,” Clay whispered as he started kissing my neck and rubbing my junk through my shorts.

“Damn, Clay, you are horny,” I replied generally letting him have his way. “What about tonight?” I asked as he ran his hand down the inside front of my shorts and fondled my cock and balls, admittedly giving me a quick boner.

“More fucking tonight, but right now, I want you to fuck me senseless. I need that to forget all about Kenny and his problems. My ass is so hungry for your dick, Josh,” he whispered as he shoved my t-shirt up over my chest and started sucking on my nipples then groping my balls and my stiffening cock. It felt so good, I just kind of let it happen. He finally got my shorts and briefs down to my knees and was sucking on my rock-hard cock, giving it quite a thrill. I undid Clay’s belt to his dress slacks and shoved them down to get to his manhood, tugging on his nice hard penis also. He was leaking precum, some of it settling in the palm of my hand, as I worked his briefs down below those cute balls of his. He sighed deeply.

Chapter 713 - B
“How about we go to my shower room and take this a little further?” I asked. He looked up at me and smiled. I kicked off my shorts and briefs, then grabbed Clay, pulling him to the back corridor from my office to our bathroom. I finished undressing him there and turned on the water. We were both swinging boners around as we stepped into the warm water, where we held one another, rubbing our boners together, giving us even more of a thrill, oozing precum from our piss slits. I knelt down and swiped my tongue across Clay’s freshly shaved balls. He was doing a great job of manscaping from what I could see, but my tongue told me most of what I needed to know. I inhaled that nice cock of his, taking his breath away, him throwing his head back. I stood back up, then held him from behind, my arms wrapped around him, my right hand stroking his cock and fondling his balls as I pressed my boner against his ass crack, somewhat dry humping the boy. I kissed the back of his neck at the same time. He oo’ed and ahhh’d. I grabbed some shower gel and lathered him up, gliding my soapy hand across his hard cock and my fingers through his pubes. I stepped back some so I could work my soapy finger into his tight asshole and loosen him up some. Clay spread his legs some to give me more access to his love portal. He was putty in my hands, he was loving this so much. I finally let him loose to rinse him off. He turned around, grabbed me and kissed me passionately, our tongues doing battle in each other’s mouths as our steel hardened cocks rubbed against one another.

“This feels so fucking good, Josh. So much nicer than Kenny for sure. I cant’ get enough of you. This is awesome,” he managed to say as he came in for more sensuous passionate kissing. I had to admit, this was smoking hot.

Clay grabbed the shower gel and did the same to me that I had to him. Not a bad way to spend an afternoon, I thought to myself. It was pretty damned hot for sure. After he rinsed me off from my more than sensuous washing, he knelt down and ran his tongue through my ass crack, teasing my hole. Damn near took my breath away, it felt so damn good.

“Okay, you’re getting good at this, Clay. Feels damned good, buddy,” I had to admit as he was taking my breath away, his tongue flicking my sensitive hole, making my precum ooze faster. He would suck that off the end of my cock occasionally, enjoying my essence. I pulled him up and pressed him up against the wall, facing it. I told him to brace himself as I knelt down and did a number on his asshole, priming it for the fucking I was about to give it. I really got him going until he couldn’t take it anymore and begged me to fuck him. I stood up and positioned the head of my penis up against is asshole teasing him senselessly. He kept pushing his ass back against the head of my cock, wanting me to penetrate him in the worst way. I felt the head of my cock slip inside his hole, making Clay’s entire body shudder, he was that excited. Once inside him, Clay thrust his ass back against me, burying my cock deep balls deep, almost shouting out his excitement. I quickly covered his mouth, not wanting anyone to hear what we might possibly be doing in my shower. I quickly started thrusting my cock balls deep inside him as he arched his back to take me as deep as he could. I leaned over him and kissed his neck, running my tongue up and down the side of his neck and over an ear, making his entire body shake. I grabbed his cock and stroked it as I continued to hammer his ass. He seemed like he couldn’t get enough, his body excitingly reacting to everything I did to pleasure him. I felt him completely stiffen up in my arms, then his entire ass shake as he filled my hand with his warm sticky ball seed. I swear his balls were overflowing as is cock convulsed more and more cum, emptying his balls, leaving a huge gooey mess in my hand.

“Keep fucking me, Josh. Fuck me to you cum. Just fuck me senseless,” he begged. With his jizz in my hand and that tight ass of his milking my dick, I didn’t last long before I had to pull out and shoot one hell of a healthy load hitting his pubes and inner thighs. Clay knelt down and inhaled my penis, sucking all the rest of the cum he could get out of my wilting cock, excited to eat it all. I, eventually, did the same with his cock, almost bringing him to his knees. We finally collapsed in each other’s arms on the seat in the shower, our cocks still dripping with leftover oozing cum, as we kissed each other passionately. He told me he loved me, saying I was the best friend he’d ever had in his entire lifetime. We hugged and kissed for a bit, then getting a little pruneish, I stood up and pulled him up to me. We washed one another one more time before turning off the water and drying off.

“Quite a neat setup you have here, Josh. I just might have to have more meetings with you here in your office,” Clay chided. I bent down and kissed his penis, making him chuckle.

“Clay, we’re going to be living together again. I don’t think we need to sneak over to my office to make love when we have the coolest shower ever at the apartment with plenty of beds to fuck on,” I reminded him, making him chuckle.

“I know, there’s just something intimate doing it on the sly without anyone knowing that it happened,” he replied. I gave him a weird look.

“I don’t think it’s any secret that the two of us have sex together. You can include Jake in that mix also,” I reminded him.

“And Wes too. Oh, Wes does have a nice cock, but he’s not gay like us, knowing exactly what makes us feel special. Still a ride on his cock is enough to make you blow a hard load. Certainly nothing to complain about. Just don’t forget about me when I move back in. I’m kind of addicted to what happened this afternoon,” Clay replied. I chuckled. “Hey, it’s your fault. You were my first. You trained me, in case you’ve forgotten,” Clay reminded me.

“I think it was that tight sweet hot ass of yours that got me all excited, until I had to bury my dick deep inside you, Clay. I have to admit, your ass is still hot as ever. You’ve become a good bottom, to say the least. That ass of yours just milks my dick like a milking machine. Damn, it’s hot,” I told him, getting me another hug. He told me it was all my fault, but he couldn’t be happier that we got together the way we did. I agreed wholeheartedly.

Clay needed to get back to the TV station, saying he had to finish up a couple of stories for tonight’s newscast. He said he’d be over after the 6:00 news and bring some clothes. I told him to be careful and always check to see who was around him. If he felt uncomfortable at all, to head to the police station as fast as he could. He said he would, although he doubted he’d have to. I told him to be vigilant, because you never knew. Clay gave me a big passionate kiss, then headed out. I decided to go down to see if Will was still here. He was in his office, but looked like he was getting ready to go somewhere.

“You going to the dorm?” I asked. He smiled.

“Thought I should make an appearance there this afternoon. What about you?” he said, as he grabbed me and hugged me. “Damn, don’t you smell good. Who’d you fuck then shower with this time?” he asked, noting that I smelled like I had a recent shower. I laughed.

“None of your business, but it could be you,” I teased. He grabbed me by the hand, saying ‘let’s go’. I stopped him.

“Nice try. Don’t we have some work we need to get done?” I asked. He smiled.

“There’s always time for sex between the two of us, unless someone just drained your balls,” Will replied.

“Clay was just here. I had to have a discussion about his safety and how to lure Kenny back to his apartment when the time is right to bring him in,” I explained.

“Did you have to fuck him to tell him that? And don’t lie to me as you know you always tell me the truth,” he warned with a huge smile. I couldn’t lie to Will as much as I couldn’t lie to Jake. I loved them both too much.

“Okay, Clay jumped me, saying he was fucking horny and needed help in the worst way,” I replied, making Will shake his head, saying he just knew it.

“Damn, I guess I’m going to have to use that line on you sometime. Seems to work for some reason,” Will replied with a huge smile. “Although, I have to admit, he is a hot number. I wouldn’t mind a tumble in the sheets with him sometime myself,” Will commented.

“Hey, be my guest. I’m sure he’d appreciate it and I won’t tell Forest. Will, a friend in need, is a friend in deed. Remember?” I replied.

“Well this friend is always in need of your love. Can’t get enough of it,” Will replied.

“You have Forest to take care of your sweet ass, Will. You could have Cal also if you wanted him. Clay doesn’t have anyone, although he and Wes will be rooming together again and Wes is always horny,” I commented.

“Is Wes really straight, and just likes fucking guys, or is he gay and just doesn’t want to admit it yet?” Will asked, curious about Wes’ true sexuality.

“Supposedly he’s straight, but he says boy ass is just as good if not better than pussy, until he finds some steady pussy,” I replied. Will shook his head in disbelief.

“Straight boys. What the hell,” he remarked, continuing to shake his head. “Can he fuck worth a shit?” Will asked.

“Why, you interested?” I had to ask, making him give me a shit-eating grin.

“Maybe. You never know. Worth finding out what that nice dick of his is like and how passionate he can be. At least he’d hold my hand in public, probably I’d think,” he replied. I told him he never knew until he asked. Will looked like he shook that idea out of his head.

“He can be kind of passionate. At least he is with Jake and me when we play. Clay thinks he’s hot. Want me to set something up for you, big guy?” I teased. He gave me a strange look.

Chapter 713 - C

“Yes, I mean ‘no’. Lord knows I don’t need anymore grief in my life than I already have. I’ll give Forest a little more time, but if he doesn’t come around and soon, I’m going to have to move on. I’m not going to be single with a closeted boyfriend. That’s not what I’m looking for in life,” Will replied.

“Who’s going to fuck Forest if not you?” I asked, sounding like I was concerned. Will rolled his eyes.

“Presumably you. You were doing it before me. Lord knows you think you need to keep all these boys that don’t have boyfriends well sexed for some reason. I could probably make a list. I’m assuming Clark is not far from making that list since he doesn’t have a boyfriend yet. Then there’s Forest and Clay. How many others have I not mentioned?” Will asked facetiously. I cracked up.

“Oh, Will, you are something else, but I love you anyway,” I told him, giving him a big hug and a quick kiss.

“Yeh, well just don’t forget that you love me. I don’t want to be left out and I need to be at the top of the list, just below Jake or I’m going to get extremely jealous,” he teased me. I hugged him tightly, again telling him how much I loved him and how much he meant to me. He told me that was better.

We headed off to the dorm together. I let him drive us over there so I could rub his crotch and give him a boner on the way. He cussed me, but all in fun. I had to give him a minute to calm down before we could go in. Jake and Blake were busy doing triage in the big lobby where all the boxes were stored. I gave Jake and Blake a hug, as did Will.

“You hear back from Conner about some security?” Jake asked. I told him not yet, but wondered why he asked. He said he saw a strange car make several passes by the dormitory this afternoon and he was wondering if they were just nosy and checking on the progress of the building or if they were casing the place. Will said they were probably from the University Housing department checking up on their competition. Jake said he’d never thought about that. It could be quite possible that’s what it was. Jake asked me if I said anything to Logan and Clark about adding security. I told him I hadn’t yet.

“Logan told me they handled security once they got opened and the building was turned over to them. Obviously, we’re going to need our own ahead of that time since we’re working in the building and the building is still our responsibility,” I told the guys.

“Well, I think the sooner the better, as we don’t know who the hell is out there that might want to do us harm,” Jake replied. I told him I’d get right on it. I stepped aside and called Conner.

“Are you okay?” Conner asked concerned when he answered my call.

“I’d be more okay if I was in bed with you naked, the two of us all horned up,” I chided.

“Fuck, Josh, not a time to be funny with everything going on around us at the moment. Although that was kind of a hot thought, but forget about that ever happening. We’re just friends, buddies, nothing more,” he replied.

“We could be asshole buddies, Conner, or friends with benefits,” I teased. He chuckled, telling me to get my head out of the gutter. “You sound like you do when you scold Neal, Conner. Shame on you.”

“Well now I have two of you that I have to try to control. Gees you guys make my life hectic. What do you need? If you were in trouble, you wouldn’t be teasing me about fucking each other, so I know you must be okay,” Conner told me. I laughed.

“Just checking to see if you checked out this Rowan guy and talked to Lucky about protection. Jake is getting a little nervous saying there was a suspicious car that passed by the building a few times slowly and it made him nervous,” I explained. Conner chuckled.

“Gees, I’ll have to tell my guys not to act so suspicious in the future. Those were two undercover cops in an unmarked car I sent over to watch the place to make sure no one did anything stupid. You’ll be happy to know there was no suspicious activity anywhere near your dorm building today. They will be doing reconnaissance from now on until I tell them to stop. They’re checking not only on your building but the office and the CNB also, just making the rounds,” Conner told me.

“You could have told us before we got our balls all sweaty thinking someone was planning something like storming the building or something,” I teasingly complained.

“We’re on it if that happens, Josh. You have my word,” Conner replied. “As far as Lucky is concerned he’s all for this protection detail. I swear I think he fell in love with you when the two of you had your naked dance together that night you saved his life. He thinks you’re the greatest ever, Josh. He’d probably sleep with you if the truth were known,” Conner chided. I could have told Conner he already had, several times, but I decided that wasn’t a good idea. Didn’t want to make Neal jealous for sure. I had my own little silent chuckle.

“He’s a great guy and a great friend, Conner, but I’d hate for him to have to sit at the end of the bed with his gun out while Jake and I slept,” I teased. Conner told me I was so bad.

“As far as Rowan is concerned, he checks out with firearms training. I guess the academy is not that overly impressed with his skills in other areas and his graduation from the academy to become an officer is doubtful at this time. I guess he really is struggling financially, so maybe a gig like this might be good. His training officer says he’s great with long guns and hand guns, one of the best in the class. His training officer didn’t see anything wrong with using him for armed security. Just don’t expect the guy to tackle a bad guy, because he’s tall and skinny, and doesn’t have any brawn to him. It’s doubtful he could wrestle anyone to the ground. He can shoot them, just not apprehend them. As long as he can take someone down with a gun or a taser, that works. He’s certified and licensed to carry, although you’ll have to reimburse him for his fire power as he can’t use any police issued firearms for private security. I think you understand that,” Conner informed me.

“I’ll let him buy what he needs and pay for it all as long as he knows how to use it,” I replied. “By the way, are Bazookas legal?” I had to ask, already knowing the answer.

“Fuck no, Bazookas aren’t legal. Let’s not get into that shit. AR-15’s and a 40 or 45 caliber handgun is what you guys need, a Sig, Lugar, Glock, something like that. See what Rowan feels comfortable with. Set him up with a credit card so he has money to pay for the weapons. Don’t send him into the gun stores with cash, as that triggers all kinds of questions. Use the address of the office building as he permanent address also and get him a phone, obviously. We’ll set him up with direct numbers to us, Cal and you all. I can help you out and even go with him to the gun store. You’ll need ammo also, which goes without saying,” Conner explained.

“Hey, it sounds like you know what the hell you’re doing so you can advise the kid as to what he needs. I’m sure Lucky can also. Oh, if there is anything Lucky needs in addition to what he already has, let me know and it’s taken care of,” I replied. Conner said he’d be in touch, but to expect Lucky to check in anytime as well as Rowan as his training officer was going to talk to him this afternoon. I told Conner again how much I loved him. He made me promise to be vigilant and listen to what Lucky and Rowan told us to do. I told him I would.

I told Jake that security wise, everything was in motion. I also told Jake and Blake that the car they saw, they thought was suspicious, was undercover police, keeping tabs on the dorm, CNB and the office building. Jake shook his head smiling, saying he was greatly relieved. Blake was also. I told him that was courtesy of Conner. Jake thought that was great.

We only had a couple of hours before quitting time, but Will and I jumped in and helped with the rest of the guys. Trevor was giving me some shit up on the third floor as he and Andy were delivering furniture to the suite beside the one Will and I delivered furniture to, so I bent him over a box, grabbed his junk and dry humped him as he squealed.

“You going to start this shit again this summer like you did last summer when we were painting the exterior of the CNB?” I asked him with his junk securely in my hand as I added pressure. He squealed again, yelling for help from Andy, who was laughing his ass off, thinking Trevor finally met his match. He promised he’d be good, however, just as soon as I let him go, he dropped his shorts and wagged his willie at me. I had to take him down again, making him squeal once more as I held his naked junk in my hand since he dropped his shorts to wag his willie at me. This time I depants’d him, pulling off his shorts and undies and throwing them down the hall, making him have to run past some of the other guys to get his clothes back. The other guys were whooping and hollering as he streaked by.

“You know that’s just going to make things worse, Josh. You know he’s going to try to get even. Be vigilant, is all I can say,” Andy warned me. I shook my head. I had to be vigilant about everyone these days it seemed.

Chapter 713 - D

I asked Jake when we were going to get AC on the other floors. So far, we just had it on the main floor, in the public areas. Jake said that Tod and Chad were working on it. He guessed he was going to have to get Dylan to light a fire under someone’s ass to get it done. I told him to be careful with what he asked Dylan, as no telling what the boy might do. Jake agreed I had a point.

I talked to Logan and Clark alone for a few minutes in the main office, noticing they had AC there, and were quite comfortable as opposed to me being hot and sweaty. Logan was on the phone with someone when Clark told me he liked my ass crack sweat on the back of my shorts. I chuckled, not realizing I was sweating that profusely. I told him I missed it on his shorts, making him laugh. I was sure Logan was wondering what we were laughing about, not having heard our conversation.

“Hey, Tod and Chad really put a rush on my apartment on the eighth floor. It should be ready in the very near future. We’ll have to go up there and check it out sometime when you’re here,” Clark suggested.

“Is that an invitation?” I asked him with a huge smile. He chuckled.

“You always have that invitation, Josh. I’m still horny thinking about the fun we had in Key West. Can’t hardly beat that for fun, but you never know,” I chided. I wanted to hug him in the worst way, but it wasn’t worth having to explain ourselves to Logan who could see us from nearby. Instead, I just got a devious smile from him.

“What are you guys smiling about?” Logan asked as he finished up his phone call. I told Logan we were just laughing about something that happened in Key West. Logan shook his head. “About that, I’m still doing research and putting together a proposal to see what we can come up with. I know we have a lot of time left, and this project is more important than anything, but I’m anxious to dig into the Key West project in the worst way,” Logan commented. I just told him to give it his best shot, but I really didn’t think he understood the culture of it, although I could be wrong. “Whatever I don’t understand, I’m sure Clark will. I think we have it covered,” Logan replied. I had my doubts, but decided to withhold judgement until he made his presentation.

“Hey I need to explain a few things about beefing up some security around here,” I started off, then explained to them about hiring a couple of guys to keep an eye on things. Logan said he had a security detail lined up for when the building opened, at least he hoped the company would still be around then. He told me he could give me their information if I wanted it. I told him I thought we were good at the moment, but if I decided we needed more, I might take him up on that. He wanted to know if there was something I should make them aware of, or was this just general security. I told him it was just general security for the present, but if it turned into anything else, I’d let them know. They thanked me for informing them.

I found Will again, right as Jake called quitting time. We got everyone out of the building and secured it, then headed to the CNB. We were a little hot and sweaty by that time, so we were ready for beer. Logan and Clark came as well. Kyle met us there, hooking up with Blake. I told Eric to pour the new stuff from Bear and Owen. He sent over several glasses of beer for us. Everyone thought it was a hit for sure. I told them all we had decided at lunch to bankroll Bear and Owen to set up a microbrewery to brew this stuff and use at both the CNB’s plus the Paradise and Tight Jock bars in Ft. Lauderdale. I also wanted to offer it to the PF, Grand Victorian and the new gay resort once the two new entities were finished and operating. We’d also see about canning it and offering it to anyone that wanted it. The guys that hadn’t tasted it at lunch got all excited.

“No shit, you guys are getting into the microbrewery business?” Kyle asked. I answered to the affirmative. “That’s fantastic. I’m telling you, this company just keeps getting more exciting all the time.” I told them the IPA wasn’t the only beer we would brew. There would be a lager, a porter and possibly a Belgian to go with it. Kyle just thought that was the greatest, as did Clark and Logan. A few minutes later, Cal came walking through the door. He spotted us and headed our way, giving me a big hug as he joined us. He tried to do the same with Will, but Will backed off saying he didn’t know him well enough yet to hug him all the time. I told Will he was crazy as the two had been naked together even at our house parties on Sundays.

“Come on, Will. You know you want to. I’ll let you feel my gun if you hug me,” Cal teased.

“I really don’t think I want to feel that gun of yours, Cal. I have a feeling it’s the one between your legs and not the metal one concealed on your body,” Will replied. Cal told him he couldn’t help it, as Will just had that kind of effect on him. Will rolled his eyes, then relented, and let Cal finally hug him, Will not showing any enthusiasm whatsoever.

“I’m going to get you to warm up to me yet, Will,” Cal told him. Will told Cal that could take a while. Cal just shook his head, then said he had some information that might just bring their whole relationship very close. That concerned Will,

“Josh, can I talk to you and Will a minute privately?” He asked. I told the boys we’d be back, then Cal, Will and I headed into the office nearby. “I have some news on the Joseph case you might want to know,” he said, getting me all excited, Will not so much. “Easy now, as it’s kind of complicated. I think we’re on the right track but we don’t have a match as of yet,” Cal informed us, greatly relieving Will at this stage, Will thinking he was going to have to have sex with Cal if he found a match.

“Then how do you know you’re on the right track, Cal?” I asked, somewhat puzzled.

“Well, Edgar’s sample showed some positive signs, but it’s weird,” he replied, puzzling me even more. I know I looked at him like he was crazy. “Edgar showed he’s in the family alright, but it’s not as if he’s Stoney’s son. The test showed he’s more like a grandson than a son. Does that make any sense at all?” Cal asked. Now I was even more confused.

“Wait, that’s impossible, Cal. How could Edgar be related, but as a grandson? That doesn’t make any sense at all. That can’t be possible, based on Stoney’s age and then Edgar’s age. Something is wrong,” I replied.

“Well, that’s what the test showed, and we’re never wrong when it comes to DNA testing,” Cal replied. I shook my head in disbelief.

“Can you retest it to see if there was a mistake there somewhere?” I asked. Cal rolled his eyes. Will looked greatly relieved.

“Hey, I already got my ass chewed out for not having a case, or a reason to test this. These tests aren’t cheap you know,” Cal replied.

“I get that, and I’m willing to pay for the test if you need someone to pay the bill. I don’t expect that to hurt your budget. I just can’t believe the test came back that way. Where did you get the sample of Stoney’s DNA?” I asked.

“We got if from your PI over in the City. I think his name is Grimsley. Kind of a dried-up old coot. I’d hate to suck that dick or have it fuck my ass,” Cal commented. I shook my head.

“Gees, Cal, you do have a way with words,” I replied. “I wonder where he got Stoney’s DNA,” I said, thinking out loud. Will gave us a shit-eating grin.

“I gave it to him, Josh. You told me to work on that, so when Grimsley said he was going the DNA route, I tried to find something I thought might have Stoney’s DNA on it,” Will replied.

“So, what did you give him?” I asked. Will looked a little embarrassed.

“You know how I hated to go into that house because of Stoney haunting it. Well, so I grabbed something out of his old pickup truck. It was kind of a spittoon, you know where guys that chew tobacco spit their chews,” Will replied.

“Well that should be an excellent source for DNA, Will. Sounds like you did well,” Cal told him. I rolled my eyes.

“It would have been except that Stoney didn’t chew tobacco at all, and he didn’t drive an old pickup truck. He drove a Landrover, Will. I just happened to see a picture of Stoney’s father in his old pickup truck today I found in a file marked ‘Ranch’ in Stoney’s desk with his father’s picture in that old pickup truck. Guess what. He was chewing tobacco and spitting it into something. Stoney kept it around, not wanting to part with the thing his dad loved to drive. Apparently, hid dad liked chewing tobacco when he drove. Well, that certainly answers the question as to why Edgar could be Stoney’s father’s grandson, because, he obviously is Stoney’s son. Bingo, I think we’ve got it,” I said, all excited. Will looked defeated.

“I’m so sorry, Josh. I didn’t know. Seemed logical to me at the time I had to find some sort of DNA for Stoney,” Will said, apologizing. I gave him a hug.

“You could have used Stoney’s toothbrush in his bathroom if you hadn’t been afraid you would have been struck by lightning going after it, or possibly fucked by a ghost,” I teased. Will said I didn’t know all the crazy things that happened to him in that house. I told him I knew one crazy thing that happened, and that was how we discovered the combination to the safe. Will smiled big time when I brought that up.
