The Coming of Josh

Wow. Not sure what to think at the moment other than I enjoyed everything from beginning to end. Cooper seems great and Lucky seems smitten to an extent. Rowen became extremely protective all of a sudden. He really lit into Marvin for hurting Lucky emotionally. Up until now, Rowen has tolerated Marvin, never giving him much attention or thought. All of a sudden Rowen wants to take him out. Is Rowen being protective or obsessive with Lucky. Is Rowen falling in love with Lucky? I sense the possibility of a love triangle coming if Lucky pays much more attention to Cooper. Josh may have to intervene somehow to save all of them from a possible disaster. And then again, I might be out of my freaking mind for even thinking anything like this might be going on. Only you know, FT.

I do like Cooper and can't wait to learn more about him. I hope he shows up at Gay Night so Josh can learn more about him. I will say one thing. You are never short on surprises, FT. Just when we think things are falling into place, you blow them apart and take on a new direction. Part of the excitement of reading this great story. Keep it up, buddy. FT
 
Rowen is like a faithful puppy, totally loyal to Lucky and ready to defend Lucky against anyone who threatens him. He's happiest when he has Lucky's undivided attention, so it stands to reason that he would feel threatened by Lucky's attraction to Cooper. We already know Lucky doesn't see Rowen as boyfriend material, but he sure sees Cooper that way. If Lucky and Cooper do become a couple, Rowen will just have to get used to it... He's still got some growing up to do.

Anyway, I'm pleased Lucky has sent Marvin packing. Marvin and Drake's relationship is going to cause a lot of trouble in the family sooner or later, and Lucky is way better off to be well out of it.

Cooper showing up so soon after everything that happened seems eerily random. What are you cooking up? Is he truly one of the good guys or has the mob sent someone to take care of unfinished business?

Rowen and Lucky falling in love seems to be less and less out of the question with each passing chapter. Rowen seems to need one final push into gay world and it seems Lucky may just get lucky and be involved in another shower awakening.
 
Some very interesting comments this time with some interesting perspectives. Some perspectives may change after this next chapter, but we'll see. Rowen is having a tough time at the moment. He's extremely protective of Lucky. I'm not sure if he knows why but he seems frustrated at the moment. Josh is having a hard time figuring him out at the moment unaware of his motivation. Josh will try to figure it out, but Rowen is not always forthcoming with his emotions as we very well know as pointed out by Josh and Dr. Wayne. We'll see if he gives us an indication why he's frustrated as our story continues. Thanks again for your comments as that helps me. Chapter 779 – Rowen Has A Bad Day But Cooper Has A Great Day

I was still trying to wrap my head around Rowen’s visceral disgust for Marvin. He seemed way too eager to cut Marvin’s balls off and not let the two have a possible reconciliation. Who knew what Marvin came prepared to say? Lucky seemed perfectly content to let Rowen handle his ex-boyfriend and send him packing. I still wondered if there was any shred of hope of some sort of discussion between the two reminding them of what they had together and possibly changing Marvin’s idea of remaining at home. If Marvin did come prepared to apologize to Lucky and possibly start over, Rowen kind of torpedoed an effort there on Marvin’s part. Again, Lucky seemed fine with it. I needed to talk to Rowen about not interfering in our friends’ personal concerns as it was up to them to work things out. Neither Rowen or I had any business telling Lucky what to do in his situation. That was his decision to make and his alone. We could offer our opinions if asked, but we didn’t have to launch an all-out assault against Lucky’s lover unless he hurt Lucky badly without any remorse, then it would be open season. We weren’t sure what the situation was in this case, which bothered me some. Still, Lucky seemed fine with it.

Why didn’t Lucky try to have an open, meaningful discussion with Marvin? That thought bothered me, because of how intense their relationship had been in the preceding months. Could Lucky possibly see some opportunity with Cooper, the new physical therapist? He did seem kind of excited about him, and I had to admit, he had good reason. The two were about the same age, the same build, liked to tease others, definitely were both great looking physically and seemed to really enjoy one another. Cooper was the type of guy that you just liked right out of the box. I looked forward to getting to know him better myself. Then I remembered that Rowen wasn’t that enamored with him when we first met him. Perhaps he would grow to like him in time if Lucky really liked him. And, like Rowen said, we didn’t know anything about him. But, I had to admit, at first look, he had my dick interested. Time would tell. I was hoping he’d show up at the CNB for Gay Night tonight so I could talk to him more.

I joined the rest of our crew at the dormitory to help out there for our half-day Saturday. I only got to put in a couple of hours, having spent some time at the hospital with Lucky this morning. I told Will and Jake about Cooper and how nice he was. They were anxious to meet him also, thinking that a new gay guy in town needed new friends and a place to feel safe. I did run into Bryce in my travels through the building delivering things. I got my hug at least. Damn if he didn’t make my dick interested just hugging him. I had no idea if he was gay or straight, but I sure as hell loved hugging him, holding him in my arms, feeling close to him. Tex asked me if I needed help this evening tending bar. I told him we always needed help. He said he might like to dance again for the second show if that was permissible. I ran into Logan delivering something to the office. “Hey, Josh, you’ll never guess who called me this morning, and even on a Saturday,” Logan told me. I told him I had no idea. “My CEO from my previous company. He wanted me to know that they disciplined Bernard, offered to let him resign or take a much lesser paying job at corporate where he’d be under strict scrutiny. I guess from what the CEO said he opted for the lesser job at corporate, but the CEO didn’t think he’d stay long, thinking he’d try to go to the competition. Lord help the next company that hires him. The CEO said the only reference they would give on Bernard’s behalf is that he wouldn’t be available for rehire. That kind of says it all if you read between the lines. The ole boy kind of shit the bed in that regard. Just thought you might like to hear. The CEO said I was welcome to come back anytime and have the job that Bernard had that should have been mine to begin with. I told him I thought I’d found my perfect job with SE, and I was totally happy here. He wished me well and told me to keep in touch. He also offered to help in any way he could. He thought he owed us that much anyway,” Logan told me. I smiled and gave him a hug.

“Are you happy with everything?” I asked him. He told me he’d never been happier and Will just kind of made everything perfect. “I’m so glad the two of you are getting along so great, Logan. You’re both very special guys in my life and to have the two of you happy together makes Jake and me happy. Will needed someone to love in the worst way,” I told him.

“Yes, from what he says he relied on you very heavily for happiness, but knowing you belonged to another wonderful guy. He says Jake is just the greatest ever also. He really loves you, Josh. I just hope someday I can make him as happy as you have. I really do love him as he’s just perfect in my eyes,” Logan replied.

“Well, if he had another inch of dick he might be more perfect than he is, but we’ll forgive him for that,” I chided making Logan laugh. “That ass is hard to beat also. Kind of fond of that myself, but I know you’ll keep him happy there,” I added. Logan shook his head smiling.

“Well I think his cock is damned nice just the way it is, but you’ve have more experience than I have. I guess maybe I’ll have to experience you sometime to make the comparison,” Logan suggested.

“Well it’s about time, Logan. Damn, I’ve wanted to have sex with you since the day I met you. You played hard to get for way too long. I’ve almost lost interest now,” I teased, making him laugh. “Not really. Sometime you, Will, Jake and I will have to get to know one another better, get intimately acquainted,” I suggested.

“Will said we needed to do that and I’m all for it. He says the two of you are wonderful and no one needs to know about any of our interactions other than us. I’d prefer it that way. I’m kind of new to all of this and don’t want the others to think I’m some kind of slut or something,” he replied.

“No, we all know Will is a slut, but you are a gentlemen if there ever was one,” I teased, making him laugh again. “No, Will is the second love of my life other than Jake, but I have to admit, I think you’re going to be right there with him in our eyes. No pressure from Jake or me for sex, just whenever you feel like sharing and really getting to know the two of us like Will does. In the meantime, I hope the two of you are having a great time in bed together. You do seem very happy these days,” I told him. He said he was thanks to all of us. He gave me another hug. “And I like your hugs also. Might be better naked, but I like them anyway they come to me,” I chided. Logan chuckled. It was good to see Logan out from underneath all that stress that Bernard had created during his stint with us. That had to be a horrible working relationship. No wonder Logan was happy to take on this responsibility full time and not have to develop further business. We were lucky to have him in a way. I had to believe Will was extremely lucky to get him on our team permanently.

It was lunch time finally, time to quit for the week as we had our second job tonight for Gay Night. Kyle and Blake joined us for lunch. Clay stopped by also to check in. “Hey, I’m going to visit Kenny this afternoon after lunch if you guys want to stop in and say hi to him,” Clay told Kyle. Kyle smiled.

“You know, I’d really like to do that, Clay, if it wouldn’t be a bother to you or upset him any,” Kyle replied. Clay smiled.
 
Chapter 779 - B

“No, I think he’d like that. I told him about you and how you’d forgiven him for what he had to do to you. I told him you were a fan and wanted his friendship if he was willing. He was blown away by that, Kyle. He teared up thinking you thought he was the most miserable piece of shit on the face of the earth. He was overwhelmed emotionally that you’d like to be his friend after the horrible thing he did to you. He said he felt so guilty and like a piece of shit for what he did to you, when he deeply cared about you during that period. I reminded him it was W&S that created all the ill will and wrong doing. He agreed but said he still went through with it when he could have refused. I reminded him it may have cost him his life had he refused. You know what he said? He said maybe the world would have been better off if he had refused and whatever happened to him happened to him, that he might not be in the situation he’s in now if he had refused. He said he was young and stupid and really wasn’t sure about his sexuality until he found he actually loved having sex with you. He said he told himself that was a fluke and ran off with the girlfriend to the west coast thinking you were going to file charges on him and he’d be arrested if he stayed. He was shocked you never filed any charges against him. He thought that was odd, but only made him care about you more. He said he got tired of screwing the girlfriend and figured out that wasn’t really what he was looking for. It was only until he started having sex with me, that he realized that’s what he wanted in life. It felt good to him, stable and passionate. He said screwing Shelley was as exciting as jerking off, but the time I was there, he really got excited. I told him I was new to all this also, but liked it with him and found myself starting to care about him, even though I tried not to. That blew him away. He told me he guessed we were both gluttons for punishment. I told him I guessed we might be, but we might as well enjoy each other until we couldn’t. Hopefully that time would never come,” Clay stated.

“So what are the odds he can stay out of prison?” Kyle asked, somewhat concerned. Clay shrugged his shoulders.

“Not sure, but Lucky and Cal are going to do everything they can to ensure he gets every break he can possibly get for helping to end this crime ring and also saving Lucky’s life by running into the line of Guido’s fire which would have surely killed Lucky. We’re hoping that might possibly get him just probation and forgo any jail time. But, then you never know. Conner is going to help us out in that area also,” Clay replied. Kyle said that would be great if he just got probation or even the charges dropped altogether. Clay said he doubted if the charges would be dropped entirely, but probation was a definite possibility. We all opted for that if possible.

I had Fritz prepare a hamburger and fries for Rowen, then Clay, Kyle, Blake and I headed to the hospital. Kenny’s room was almost right beside Lucky’s. There was a small lab office between the two rooms but no other rooms in the immediate area. Rowen was outside in the hallway pacing the floor.

“Hey, I brought you lunch in case you’re hungry,” I told him handing him the box of hamburger and fries. He said he’d get a soda at the machines down the hall and eat his lunch in the waiting area there by the soda and snack machines, as Cooper was giving Lucky some ‘therapy’ at the moment, and he was told to take a hike as he put it rather sarcastically. “What do you mean by that?” I had to ask.

“Oh, Lucky’s new boyfriend is in there feeling him up all over and Lucky’s enjoying the hell out of it. I guess they didn’t think I needed to be there in case they wanted to do, what did you call it, something naughty?” Rowen said sarcastically.

“They told you to get out?” I asked concerned. Rowen lowered his head.

“Not exactly, but I’m pretty sure it was implied. I think they felt like they couldn’t get away with too much if I was there. Damn, Josh, you don’t think Lucky has a thing for this new twit already, do you?” Rowen asked me concerned. I chuckled.

“Hey, he just met the guy. You’re his partner and he loves you. He’s just getting to know Cooper and, like you said, Lucky and we don’t know anything about him other than he seems like a great guy. Just chill. You’re not losing your partner one way or another, so don’t be so quick to jump to conclusions. Besides friends are one thing but partners are much tighter. Go eat your lunch and come back when you’re done. I’m going in with Clay, Blake and Kyle to visit with Kenny for a few minutes. I’m sure Cooper will be done with Lucky’s therapy by the time you get back, then you can have him all to yourself again,” I teased, somewhat skeptical about what Rowen was telling me. Rowen said something under his breath then headed out for the waiting area.

Clay, Kyle and Blake were waiting outside Kenny’s room for the guard to check off their names. I stuck my head in to see what Cooper and Lucky were up to. Lucky was still sitting in his chair where I left him this morning. Cooper was having Lucky move his right arm some and supporting it through the motions. “You guys doing okay so far?” I asked. They both smiled.

“Got him moving his right arm some now, Josh. He’s making progress,” Cooper said with a smile. “I was going to show Rowen what to do in this regard when I’m not around as he needs to do this several times a day, but he took off somewhere as if he was disturbed about something,” Cooper said.

“Yeh, he’s been acting strange every time Cooper comes in and has me do something. Don’t know what’s bothering him. Ever since he lit up Marvin this morning, he hasn’t been the same,” Lucky added. I rolled my eyes.

“His hero is hurt and this is really bothering him for some reason. He’s feeling very protective at the moment. I gave him his lunch and he’s down by the soda and snack machines eating it now. He’ll be back in a few minutes. You can show us both then if you’re still here, Cooper. I’m going to step next door to check on Kenny with Clay. Kyle and Blake came over with us also so they’ll want to see you too, Lucky,” I told him. Both said they’d see me in a few.

Clay went in first to talk to Kenny. We didn’t all want to gang up on him at once, especially if he was still kind of out of it. I could hear the two talking quietly inside the room so it seemed like Kenny was improving at least. Kyle asked me what seemed to get Rowen upset. I told him I had no idea other than he sent Marvin packing this morning and maybe he was still upset at that. I told them he’d been deeply concerned about Lucky ever since he got hurt and he wasn’t over it yet, and probably wouldn’t be until Lucky was back to work. Kyle thought that was kind of obsessive. I almost had to agree.

Clay finally came and got Kyle, Blake and me to see Kenny. Kyle went over and held Kenny’s hand. “Hey, big guy, remember me?” Kenny started to cry, big tears flowed from his eyes. “Hey, this is a happy time, not a sad time, Ken. It’s me, the guy that loved you at one time. I still care about you as my friend, and I’ll never forget the great times we had together. You were my first love, if you can believe that, although you made me share you with that scag girlfriend of yours,” Kyle teased.

“I’m so sorry, Kyle. I’m so terribly sorry I put you through what I did. I hated myself for that and still do. That was so wrong. I realized if later that I did love you and then betrayed you. I had a hard time living with that, and still do,” Kenny said, the two still holding hands.

“Hey, Ken, that’s all behind us now. The bad times are over. They’re behind us and we’re still here and still friends if you want to be. Clay is a super guy and I know he cares deeply about you also. This is my boyfriend Blake, who’s an exceptional guy also, a great friend of Josh’s and mine. Clay has been in our group for some time. I’ve followed all Clay’s work he’s done with you and told him you were a decent guy, and I felt you were going to do the right thing now in helping to end the madness that was plaguing this town. You did that and more, Ken. I’m so proud of you. You made up far more for what you had to do before. I forgive you as I know that was not the loving friend I knew, but something Weinstein and Seward were trying to extort out of you against your will,” Kyle told him looking into his eyes and smiling. Kenny dropped Kyle’s hand and extended it to Blake.

“Pleased to meet you, Kenny. Kyle has told me some very wonderful things about you. He says you really are a great person, but were being manipulated and threatened by some awful people. We’re both happy that’s behind us all now and we can enjoy the great person Kyle always knew you were and are,” Blake told Kenny as he held his hand. Kenny’s tears flowed again.

“I don’t deserve you guys. I really don’t, but I think I love you just the same for forgiving me for the awful things I had to do to you, Kyle. You were the sweetest, most trusting guy there was. I loved your dad also, who treated me like another son. I betrayed him and it killed me. It was a gut punch if there ever was one. I’ll never forgive Weinstein and Seward for making me do that. Still, I blame myself, as I could have stopped it. I think I could have,” Kenny said apologetically.
 
Chapter 779 - C

“Hey, Ken, they’d have just made it happen some other way. So let me tell you what’s happened as a result of what you did to me, which actually turned out to be great for me. I got a huge settlement from W&S Construction Co for the two retards, Spence and Simon, destroying some of my apartment buildings they thought they owned and didn’t. Then Hal took me in to run his company for him before he passed when he found out he was sick, feeling sorry for me. I did a great merger with another construction company with Tod and Chad, who you remember as being a small little outfit that no one ever gave a shit about, and now they are one of the largest construction companies in the state, thanks to Josh here. Josh has been at the center of all my great prosperity and loves all of us. You’ll get to know and love him also. He’s been Clay’s best friend also so you have to love him too. None of that would have happened had you not done what you did. I’d still be trying to salvage those old falling down apartment buildings had you not done what you did. So, in short, what you thought was something horrible, actually turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to all of us. There, you can be relieved to know you actually did us all a favor in a round about way, but still a real prosperous favor. So, my friend, we need to get you well again and then bring you into our wonderful group of friends to help you be successful in the right way this time,” Kyle told Kenny. Kenny smiled.

“I don’t deserve your kindness, but I love hearing that you still can call me a friend. You can’t imagine what that means to me, Kyle. That, in itself, is worth living for when I thought there was nothing else to live for. I thought I had fucked up my life and everyone around me. You are music to my ears,” Kenny told Kyle.

“Oh, yeh, we’re all going to be great friends once we get you back healthy, aren’t we guys?” Kyle asked us all. We all agreed. Tears rolled from Kenny’s eyes. Kyle leaned in and kissed him. “Just for old time’s sake, but I will kiss you again when you’re better and so will Blake, Josh and most of all Clay,” Kyle told him. Kenny was almost beside himself with emotion. Clay grabbed a tissue and wiped his eyes.

“Josh, I guess I should thank you for loving all these guys the way you have and working your magic on them to make them all great guys. I’ve heard you’re quite the magical person to know and that your kindness permeates everyone you care about. I’m grateful to you for what you’ve done for Clay especially and for taking care of Kyle for me also who deserved to be loved since I failed miserably trying to love him. And I guess for however you got Blake and Kyle together so he could give Kyle the love I failed to deliver. I hated myself for not being able to love him like he should. You all are miracles in my eyes right now, be loved, and I couldn’t be more grateful to all of you,” Kenny said slowly.

“You think we’re miracles right now, but wait until you get to know us and hang with us. You might change your opinion then,” I chided, making the rest of the guys laugh. They told him I was quite the character besides being one of the greatest friends a guy could ever have in life. Kenny said he was glad to hear I wasn’t all straight laced. They told him I was far from it.

All this emotion had worn Kenny out, although he said his spirits couldn’t be higher. Kenny said he had a lot of questions as to what all happened to who during the large roundup that day. Clay said he’d let him get some rest then come back later and update him on everything. He was at least glad to know that Lucky was doing okay, in the same hospital and almost beside him. We told him we’d get Lucky to chat with him later also. Kenny seemed content to hear Lucky was doing okay, which we told him was a result of is heroism. Clay leaned down and kissed him, promising to come back later after he had some rest. We all left the room together and went to Lucky’s room.

Cooper was just finishing up with Lucky’s physical therapy, telling us Lucky was doing great so far. “Oh, and he made me promise to come by this evening to the CNB for the shows. He said they were the best ever, and the CNB was the greatest place to be with others that are ‘like-minded’,” Cooper quoted Lucky. “Was this dude really straight at one time?” Cooper asked. We all chuckled.

“He was until Josh got hold of him,” Kyle chided. Cooper laughed along with Lucky.

“Hey Josh did me a favor. I didn’t know I was gay until he showed me I was,” Lucky chimed in. “Best discovery I ever made, although don’t tell Conner and Neal that. I’m still in the closet outside this group, but that can change anytime. Hell, I don’t care who knows now,” Lucky replied.

“Rowen still eating lunch?” I asked noticing he still wasn’t back. Lucky said he came back once, but saw that Cooper was still giving him therapy so he left again.

“I don’t think he likes me for some reason,” Cooper commented with a smile.

“Oh that’s nonsense as he likes almost everyone but Marvin. I could tell he’s not a Marvin fan, but not many of us are these days after what he did to Lucky,” I commented.

“Yes ex’s can be a pain in the ass and earned their share of dislike for sure,” Cooper replied. Lucky said that was for sure. “Well, unfortunately I have a couple more patients to see this afternoon, but I’ll be back to see you before I leave, Lucky. Josh, my friends and I just might come by for dinner if that’s okay, then hang for the shows Lucky says are hot,” Cooper said. I told him dinner and beer were on me tonight. “Well that’s entirely unnecessary, but I’m sure we’ll enjoy the experience for sure. You guys try not to excite Lucky too much while I’m gone. Be careful as I think he’s a little horny,” Cooper teased. We all knew that was true. Off he went.

Almost as Cooper left, Rowen returned. “Is he finally gone?” Rowen asked. “I thought the dude was going to stay the whole afternoon as much time as he was taking,” Rowen commented.

“I wish he would have as he’s fun to talk to, Rowen. Cooper is a great guy and I’m sure going to become a great friend of all ours. Did he do something to upset you or something?” Lucky asked. Rowen rolled his eyes.

“No, not really, but he just seems to hang around a lot and he doesn’t even know us,” Rowen commented.

“Hey, he’s new to this area and doesn’t know anyone. Other than his two friends he’s staying with temporarily, he really doesn’t know anyone else. He’d be great to have as a friend,” Lucky told him, looking at me like WTF.

“Maybe,” Rowen replied. “What did he do to you this time? Did he work your right arm any?” Rowen asked Lucky.

“Yes. It hurt some, but the more he worked it, the better it felt. He wanted to show you what he did so you could do it for me also, but then you disappeared. I’d like for him to show you so you could do it for me if you don’t mind. He said it was important to continue doing it after I got home also,” Lucky explained.

“Sorry I wasn’t here for that. I’ll make sure to be here the next time he does it for you,” Rowen replied, still seemingly unhappy for some reason, almost seemingly depressed. He was starting to worry me some.

We all had a good visit with Lucky and Rowen even lightened up some being with all of us teasing one another like we always do, including Lucky and Rowen. We could tell Lucky was starting to get tired over time. I was afraid we might have overstayed and he really needed to rest. I told him I’d see him tomorrow for sure, but to get a good night’s sleep, rest up and get better. Lucky told us to have a good Gay Night at the CNB, citing this was the first one he’s missed in ages. He told me to tease Neal for him. I promised him I would just for him. That seemed to excite him. I went to him in his chair and leaned down and kissed him goodbye. He threw his left arm around me for a side hug, thanking me for coming and everything I’d done for him. I told him he needed to get better so we could all have some fun. He was excited about that. Rowen promised to keep an eye on him tonight to make sure he behaved. Lucky rolled his eyes, as if he needed help behaving in the condition he was in.

We ran into Cooper in the hallway on the way out. He told us he’d see us later with his friends at the CNB. I told him we looked forward to it. Will and Logan showed up at the CNB just as the rest of us got back. We sat down and had a beer together. I told Logan and Will how Lucky was doing and then told them about Kenny also and how emotional he got when Kyle forgave him. Will and Logan both thought that was great of Kyle. Kyle reiterated the fact he probably never would have known any of us if it hadn’t been for what Kenny did. He might have been right about that.

Eventually Conner and Neal showed up. I went over to give them hugs and say hi. I told Eric and Trent to take care of them tonight as they were taking care of us. I asked Conner if anything new happened since I’d seen them earlier. Conner said the mayor demanded to see the evidence against them. Conner said he showed them copies of all the incriminating pictures and the notes of payoffs. Conner said the mayor wanted to crawl into a hole and die after seeing all of that. As I was talking to Conner and Neal, I saw Cooper show up with his friends from town. “Like I said, I’m so lucky to have you in my life for you guidance, Josh. I guess I’ll figure it out someday,” he told me. I hugged him again and held him in my arms for several moments, then I let him go.

“Get some sleep as you never know what tomorrow will bring. If you’re spending most of the day with Lucky, just try not to molest him too much until he at least recovers from his wounds,” I teased, making Rowen chuckle, promising he wouldn’t. I gave him one last kiss, then jiggled his penis and took off, shutting off the lights when I left. I climbed in bed with Jake, gazing over his naked body, thinking how lucky I was to have found someone to love that loved me as much as I loved him. I didn’t have to wonder or wasn’t confused as to who made me the happiest in my life. It was truly Jake and I couldn’t love him more than I did. I slipped into bed and cuddled him although he was totally out and in a deep sleep. Still, he was in my loving arms and I didn’t want to let him go.

Sunday morning was a little more leisurely. I filled Jake in on what took place with Rowen last night, telling him he was the next victim of Rowen to receive a blow job. Jake said he didn’t understand Rowen’s motives but he spent more time with Lucky than any of the rest of us did. Jake just hoped Rowen wasn’t going to be disappointed if his actions to help possibly damaged the friendship Rowen and Lucky had together. I told him I kind of felt the same way. I might have to run interference in the process to alert Lucky as to what might be coming so he didn’t hurt Rowen’s feelings.

We teased Rowen some in the shower. Jake and I double teamed him washing him down and having some fun in the process. He was starting to get used to it by now and seemed to actually enjoy the attention I had to believe. I was almost certain he wasn’t quite sure what to think but just accepted it. We got dressed in shorts and t-shirts then had coffee and donuts with Dylan, Garth, Zach and Brady. Jake said he’d go with us to see Lucky this morning since he hadn’t seen him yet in the hospital. I told him I might stay a good part of the day there so he might want to drive also. I would try to get away later that afternoon and come to the house for the swim party to see everyone. Rowen said he’d stay with Lucky until they kicked him out which was probably when Lucky wanted to sleep. We told the rest of the guys we’d see them later and headed to the hospital.

Cooper was there with Lucky working his arm when we walked in. Cooper said he was glad to see we survived last night and were here this morning. I asked Lucky how he was doing as he looked half-decent. He took that as a compliment. I leaned over and gave Lucky a quick kiss on the lips as did Jake. Not to be outdone, Rowen kissed him on the cheek which made Lucky smile.

“Glad you guys came when you did as I was just doing the arm regiment of exercises I’d like to have you guys do for him as much as he can stand in a day. Rowen, since you’re going to be with him most of the time as his care-giver, I really want to show you what to do here,” Cooper told Rowen. Rowen said he was there to learn how to best take care of him. His demeanor around Cooper seemed better today, maybe because we were there.

“Well don’t do like Cooper does and try to molest me,” Lucky chided, making Rowen suspicious.

“You and your idea of molestation, Lucky. I mean really,” Cooper quipped. Lucky just laughed.

“Well, you get me naked every morning and then have your way with me. I mean this is getting kind of serious don’t you think,” Lucky teased. Cooper looked embarrassed.

“I don’t think It’s me that gets carried away if I remember the incidences correctly. Seems to me that you get a little excited in the bathing processes if I recall,” Cooper chided. Lucky just smiled. Rowen was getting concerned, I could tell.

“Okay, it’s not everyday I get someone as hot as Cooper getting me naked and showering me. The only think missing is him getting naked with me, then we could have some real fun,” Lucky joked.

“He isn’t trying to have sex with you, is he, Lucky?” Rowen asked very concerned, starting to glare at Cooper. Cooper laughed.

“No, silly. He’s very professional to an extreme. I told him he needed to let his hair down some and not be so professional so we could have some fun. I told him since he gets to see me naked, the least he could do was to get naked with me. He wouldn’t get himself so wet trying to shower me off also,” Lucky chided. Rowen seemed somewhat relieved. I was chuckling along with Cooper and Jake.

“You know I tried that one time with James, my frat brother that did all the physical assessments to help me be in better physical shape. It worked. We finished the physical assessment and then tore up his room having hot sex,” I confessed. “That was way before I met you, Jake. I’m better about that stuff now,” I teased. Jake shook his head laughing as did Cooper and Lucky.

“Well, you can come over when I get home and shower with me then, Josh. I’m sure that would be damn interesting,” Lucky suggested.

“I’ll bathe you, Lucky. I can do that for you,” Rowen piped up. Lucky looked disappointed which shocked Rowen.

“Well, I guess that would work, partner, but then it will be the same as it is with Cooper, getting the job done but every bit as uneventful as I have now,” Lucky replied. “You are a caring partner though. I will say that,” Lucky added making Rowen feel better.

“I was telling Lucky about some of the antics you guys did at Gay Night last night, Josh,” Cooper commented as he showed Rowen the arm movements he wanted Lucky to make. Lucky complained that some of the movements hurt. Cooper told him that was because he was stiff from not moving that arm much in the last few days and he just needed to buck up and get through it.

“I heard Cooper got to see your bare ass last night, Josh. What’s the deal with that?” Lucky said giving me some shit. I chuckled, then told Lucky what Tex and Clark did to me, but the dollars it brought in were crazy. Lucky shook his head smiling. “Leave it to your friends to take care of you like that. Those dudes are crazy for sure,” Lucky commented. I almost had to agree.

“That was a fantastic venue last night, Josh. I still can’t get over how great it was and you, Jake, you, Terry and that Johan guy were fantastic with that Circ ‘d Soule act. That was unbelievable. Phillip and Ernest love your place on Saturday nights, by the way. They couldn’t get over how nice you treated us last night. I told them what great guys you were and now they believe me for sure, not that they didn’t before, but had never really met you. They were excited to get to meet you guys also. It was great to get out and enjoy something like that with them,” Cooper commented as he was just finishing up with Lucky’s therapy, having Rowen do it now while he watched. Rowen was trying his best to do what Cooper showed him.

“Am I doing it right?” Rowen asked Cooper. Cooper patted him on the back and told him he was doing great and to repeat those exercises several times a day. “How soon will Lucky be able to go home?” Rowen asked.

“I think the doctors are talking about releasing him as early as Tuesday or Wednesday, Rowen, so you can kind of plan on that,” Cooper replied which seemed to make Rowen happy. Lucky frowned.

“Then I won’t get to see you like I do now,” Lucky said sadly. Cooper smiled.
 
Chapter 780 - E

“I told you I’ll be stopping by to check on you and to make sure everything is mending the way it should. You’ll be fine, Lucky,” Cooper assured him.

“If you’d take me up on the offer I gave you, I’d see you much more often,” Lucky remarked.

“What offer was that?” Rowen asked immediately. Lucky was a little shocked.

“Oh, Cooper mentioned he’s looking for an apartment and having a hard time finding one. I told him I had a three bedroom house and he was more than welcome to stay there if he wanted,” Lucky replied to a very disturbed Rowen look.

“You guys don’t even know each other very well. I’m not so sure that’s a good idea, Lucky,” Rowen replied temporarily.

“Yeh, Cooper would probably like to have his own private space and time then get to know others before he moves in with someone else,” I suggested.

“That’s exactly what I told Lucky, Josh. I told him I didn’t want to interfere with his private life not really knowing him all that well,” Cooper stated.

“What private life? As of yesterday, I have no private life anymore. I don’t have a boyfriend anymore so I have plenty of room and no one else to share with so we’d have plenty of space,” Lucky replied.

“That could change, Lucky. You just never know and then where would that put Cooper. He’s better off having his own space,” Rowen suggested rather eagerly. I was starting to get the picture of what might be running through Rowen’s mind. I wasn’t sure if that was good or bad. Did he want a chance to experiment with a relationship with Lucky? I wasn’t so sure that was such a good idea, but I guess he did have the right to have first crack at him if it was to be.

“Rowen, I told Lucky the same thing. Phillip and Ernest told me I could stay with them as long as I needed to but I kind of feel like a fifth wheel staying with them, like I’m invading their privacy also. We get along great, but I know the two are extremely sexually active and I feel like I might be cramping their style. They’d never tell me that, but you know how it is when you feel like you might be intruding somewhat. I’ll find something hopefully soon,” Cooper said.

“Like I said, I’ve got plenty of room and I promise not to try to seduce you at least for a couple of weeks, but after that I might not be able to help myself,” Lucky chided, making Cooper, Jake and I laugh, but not Rowen.

“I think I might have an apartment for you that’s not far from here,” I informed Cooper, who looked interested. He said he’d appreciate any help he could get. There were a lot of apartments available in town but they were all rented by students for when they came back so anything there would be temporary. “Well, I know a couple of guys that work for me that each have an apartment. I know for a fact one of them isn’t being used anymore, so I’m pretty sure you can have Logan’s apartment. Several of our guys that are part of us live in this apartment group. They are furnished two-bedroom townhouse type setups and are very nice and for you, very reasonable,” I explained to a very interested Cooper. “I’ll get you the information from Logan this afternoon and you can probably meet him there this evening if you want and he’d be happy to show it to you. Logan is a very meticulous person so I’m sure the apartment looks and smells as brand new as when he moved in. Kyle’s company owns it, the guy you met yesterday, so he’ll take care of you rent wise,” I added. Cooper was so excited he gave me a quick hug telling he how grateful he was. It felt so good hugging him, I almost didn’t want to let him go. He told me again how grateful he was for our friendship.

“Damn, Josh, I lose a potential roomie and friend and you get a hug for taking him away from me. What kind of friend are you anyway?” Lucky asked. We all chuckled. Rowen was very relieved.

“I thought you’d know him by now, Lucky. He’s a little crazy as we all know, but very loveable,” Jake commented. They all agreed making me roll my eyes.

Cooper said he needed to get to his other patients but gave me his cell phone and contact information. We exchanged information. I told him we had a skinny dipping party this afternoon followed by a steak dinner by the pool he was more than welcome to attend and hang with us. It would give him a chance to meet the rest of our group anyway.

“Oh, as much as that sounds great, I’m not sure I could contain myself with all those hot naked male bodies. I’m a trained therapist, but I still have to admire a beautiful male body and I know you hang with a lot of them,” Cooper replied.

“Yes, me included in all that,” Lucky stated. Cooper chuckled and patted him on the back.

“You could make my life if you’d let me share with you,” Lucky replied. Cooper just chuckled, telling us he’d see us later, but to enjoy our day. Off he went.

“Lucky, you need to be careful about inviting guys you don’t really know to live with you. That’s a huge step to take when you don’t know someone,” Rowen cautioned.

“Rowen, I’m lonely now that I don’t have Marvin in my life anymore. Cooper is such a wonderful guy, the kind you almost fall in love with the first time you meet them. This could be fate, that Marvin disappears and Cooper shows up. I just think he and I could really be close friends and lovers. I don’t know, but I wish I at least had the chance to find out. Now he’ll probably meet some other hot orderly and forget his police stud altogether, leaving me lonely and horny. Damn what I wouldn’t give for a night with him in bed,”

“Well, you’ll still have me to look after you,” Rowen stated. Lucky looked at him and smiled.

“I know and appreciate that, Rowen. You’re a great partner in one way, but I need a different kind of partner also, one that I can share benefits with. You know what I mean,” Lucky told him, making Rowen somewhat disappointed. Rowen promised Lucky he’d take great care of him.

“It’s not like you’re losing Cooper altogether, Lucky. He’ll still be around and if you two want to hang out together, a relationship might still develop. It’s better if you find out if a relationship works first rather than have him move in with you and then start dating someone else, even worse, bring that person home for the night in a bedroom next to yours. That would be pure torture if you had feelings for him,” I suggested.

“Josh is right, Lucky. That would be terrible. You could lose your mind over something like that. It’s better to depend on known friends for care before you put yourself in a position where you’re miserable and can’t do anything about it, don’t you think?” Rowen suggested. Lucky was in deep thought, but before he had much time to think, Clay arrived with a cameraman to do an interview.

“Hey, guys. Sorry, we were supposed to do this yesterday, I know. Got hung up with Kenny yesterday when he changed rooms so I put this off until today. If we can do this quickly, then I can edit it and get it to the studio for one of our new reporters to do tonight. I interviewed several reporters yesterday afternoon to add to our news team since Shelley is no longer with us and I’m kind of stuck on this investigation and breaking stories around it. I’ve become the interim news director since Aikens is in jail so I have less airtime. I needed a couple of pretty faces to adorn the news desk and I got a decent one from the University’s journalism department. I think he might work out well,” Clay informed us. Conveniently, Lucky had on shorts and a wifebeater shirt that Cooper was able to dress him in. We all cleared away to give him some room to set up and do his interview.

As his cameraman was setting up, and doing light checks, Clay, Jake and I stepped out into the hallway leaving Rowen at Lucky’s side. “Did you see Kenny today yet?” I asked him. He smiled.

“Not yet, but just as soon as I get this interview done, I’ll run in and see him. He needs to know I haven’t gone anywhere or abandoned him. Part of getting him well is to reassure him I haven’t abandoned him,” Clay informed us. “Kind of like Rowen there for Lucky,” Clay added.

“Yeh well, I’m not sure about that one yet. Lucky has the hots for Cooper and Rowen is bound and determined that shouldn’t happen,” I explained to a confused looking Clay. “I think Rowen thinks he has a crush on Lucky, but I’m not so sure it is what it is. He’s jealous of Cooper for what Cooper can do for Lucky that Rowen possibly can’t not being gay and all,” I explained. Clay shook his head.

“Damn, that boy is headed for the big hurt, Josh. I’m sure you’re working behind the scenes with him to help him sort out his emotions, aren’t you?” Clay asked. I told him I was trying but I was never really sure where the boy was coming from, then told him about the desperate need for Rowen to learn how to give a good blow job. I thought Clay was going to shit himself laughing. “You actually taught him how and he actually did it?” Clay asked, on the verge of cracking up again. I told him I did and Jake was going to be the recipient of one of Rowen’s new talents tonight. Jake said he wasn’t so sure about that. Clay laughed. “Maybe I should drop by and let him practice on me. I could use a little help in that area myself,” Clay replied with a huge smile. I pinched him on his ass, telling him to come by anytime and Jake and I would definitely make him happy. “Maybe I should bunk with Rowen again and see just what the boy can do for me. He might have new undiscovered talents we don’t know about. I damn sure like the size of that cock he has anyway,” Clay commented. Jake and I chuckled.
 
Chapter 780 - F

The cameraman said he was ready if Clay was. Guess I better get in there so we don’t wear Lucky out too much,” Clay said as we stayed back behind the cameraman to watch the interview. Clay asked Lucky some interesting questions about what it felt like to get shot while trying to get out of harm’s way. Lucky said it felt like metal was ripping through you tearing your insides out, is what it felt like. He said he was grateful to the other guy that saved him shielding him from another two bullets which would have surely finished him off. He said he was glad to be alive to soon be back on the force once again. Lucky did not name Kenny by name, which was a good thing, as the less known about him the better for now. There were some light moments in the interview as Clay presented Lucky as a great officer of the law and a great human being to go with it. When the interview was finished, Lucky joked that he hoped none of his old one-night stand girlfriends looked him up. Clay said he couldn’t help that if it happened. Lucky said he’d have Rowen fend off all the groupies that might flock to him, and maybe he might get lucky. We got a kick out of that.

Clay said he was going to check in on Kenny before heading back to the studio. I said I’d go with him. Jake gave both of us a quick kiss, then said he was heading back to the apartment before going to the house for the swim party. Clay seemed to appreciate my company seeing Kenny, not really knowing what to say to him anymore. I told Clay if he still cared about him, they wouldn’t have any problems talking to one another. He supposed that might be right, other than Kenny was wondering what his fate would be when the dust settled. None of us knew the answers to that question.

Kenny was sitting up in bed when we entered his room. His face lit up with a smile when he saw us. “Aren’t you two a sight for sore eyes. I was beginning to think I was all alone in this world now without anyone to care about me. Then here you come,” Kenny said as we approached his bedside. Clay leaned in and gave him a kiss, which seemed to delight Kenny.

“So, you starting to feel among the living once more?” Clay asked him. Kenny smiled, saying this was the best he felt so far. He said the previous days had been somewhat of a blur although he did remember Kyle, Blake and me from yesterday, so he thought he was getting better.

“I had no idea that you knew Kyle, Clay. Wow, is that ever crazy,” Kenny told us. Clay told him that Kyle was doing very well these days and was a great friend of mine. “So are all you guys gay then?” Kenny asked curiously. I smiled.

“Almost all of us in the business together are gay, you might say. We have a couple straight boys but very gay friendly,” I explained. Clay is one of our newbies. He wasn’t sure at first and was just kind of curious, but I’d say you helped him along in that regard,” I explained.

“So, when you were fucking Shelley, you were straight then?” Kenny asked Clay. Clay smiled.

“Let’s just say I had experimented some with Josh and kind of liked it. He was the first person I ever had sex with period. Then when you did what you did, seducing me that one time, I had no problem gong along with it. The more we had sex together, the more I liked it and came to care about you, Kenny,” Clay explained.

Well, both Rowen and Clay must come clean: the first about what he feels towards Lucky, while also clearing his mind, and the second about what he feels about Kenny and how to tell him he used him a little.
And now they'll be walking on eggshells trying to be true with themselves and the others without hurting anyone.
