Chapter 856 - C
“Get on my laptop and sign onto your email, Bryce. We can print anything from my laptop which communicates with the printer,” I told him. He seemed reluctant. “Just sit in my chair behind the desk and sign into your email and then we can print it,” I repeated.
“I don’t feel right sitting in your chair at your beautiful desk, Josh. It just doesn’t feel like something I should do,” he said reluctantly. I rolled my eyes.
“Hey, it’s not like we’re strangers and don’t know each other well enough. I’ve had your dick in my mouth and my finger up your asshole. You’ve had your finger up my asshole and been dick-slapped with my dick and balls. I’m pretty sure we know each other well enough by now for you to sit in my chair. What do you think?” I chided, making him chuckle.
“Well, when you put it that way, I guess it’s okay,” Bryce replied with a huge smile. I shook my head at him as he got up to go sit in my chair to use my laptop to sign into his email. “Wow, this makes one feel kind of important,” he said as he sat down and started to bring up his email on my laptop.
“I have to say, you look pretty damn good sitting in that chair behind that desk. This could be you someday, you never know,” I teased. He gave me a strange look. “Just saying. At least you could possibly have an office in the executive suite someday. We have plenty of room to expand on this floor,” I teased.
“I’m just grateful you’re saving my ass for the moment, Josh. I couldn’t begin to ask for more,” he replied as he typed away.
“And a cute ass it is, very well worth saving,” I teased, making him smile and shake his head at me.
“Got it, now how do I print it. I went to lean over his shoulder, my cheek almost pressed against his, then recognized the icon to print the email. I clicked the mouse and the printer behind my desk on my credenza came to life. Moments later we had the POA document. I grabbed the POA, then called Nate to tell him we had it. Moments later he came over and grabbed the document. I introduced Bryce to Nate.
“So this is the young man you’re helping out here,” Nate said shaking hands with Bryce. I told Nate, he was the one. “You’re very fortunate to have such a generous friend in Josh here. You couldn’t have a better one which is what we all think around this place,” Nate told him. Bryce told him he was definitely right about that. Nate had Bryce sign the POA also while he was still sitting at my desk, then Nate notarized his signature. Nate said he was going to need me to sign something also, but would have me do that later. “Okay, that’s all Cliff and I need, Bryce. You are well on your way to making all the magic happen. Congratulations,” Nate said, then shook Bryce’s hand again. Bryce thanked him again also. Nate took off saying he called Cliff to come up and meet Bryce. Moments later, Cliff arrived.
“Bryce, so glad to finally meet you, buddy. Josh has told us some great things about you,” Cliff told Bryce as he shook his hand. Cliff gave me a hug which didn’t go unnoticed by Bryce.
“I really appreciate whatever you’re doing on behalf of me and my family, Cliff. I honestly don’t know what to say other than you all are lifesavers for sure, and I will forever be in your debt,” Bryce commented.
“Well not forever, but for a few years anyway in Josh’s debt, but he can handle it so it’s no biggie when it comes to taking care of the friends that matter to him. You’re just lucky to have Josh as a close friend. But then, we all are for sure. We wouldn’t be here today without him, I have to say,” Cliff replied. Bryce seemed a little overwhelmed, but hung in there. Okay, here is a VISA card for your mother to use for anything she needs according to the parameters Josh set up for you. It has a $20,000 limit so don’t go over that in a month’s time if you can help it. If you need more, just tell Josh and I can adjust the limit fast enough so that’s not a problem. I’m working on setting up a Venmo account also so you or your mother can Venmo money if necessary for anything you can’t use a VISA card for which isn’t much these days. Whatever you Venmo will be relieved from an account it’s tied to, and money will automatically appear in that account to cover the transfer of funds. You don’t have to worry about what kind of balance is in that account. I think there is a limit as to how much you can Venmo someone so that limit kicks in before anything else. If you need more for an emergency, call Josh and he can let me know how much to set you up with or have the account bill us directly,” Cliff explained.
“I really don’t know what to say, but the amounts on the VISA card will be minimal each month, and I don’t think we’ll be doing any Venmo, but thanks anyway. Where does the money come from, if I might ask?” Bryce asked. Cliff looked at me and I looked at him.
“It’s a sweep account that normally doesn’t have any money in the account unless it is billed some amount. Then the bank automatically covers it and sweeps money from other accounts into this account to cover what was spent,” Cliff explained, which confused Bryce even more.
“I get the mechanics, but the funds have to come from some account to cover the money spent and where do those funds come from?” Bryce asked. Cliff looked at me again.
“It’s a long crazy process, Bryce, just know you’re covered. Don’t worry about the other. It’s all legit, I swear,” I told him. Bryce wasn’t sure, but didn’t ask any more questions.
“Well okay, I’m going to get the refinancing of the mortgage started then I’ll be in touch for you to sign it when it’s complete, Bryce. You can sign on behalf of our parents with the Power of Attorney you signed this morning. We’re good. Oh, and, Josh, and Bryce, we found a loaded new Ford Explorer, blue in color with all the bells and whistles on it for your parents, Bryce. The representative of the dealer will have it at the airport on Thursday morning for you when you arrive. Bryce, you can sign the lease at that time and Josh, you’ll have to sign also since the monthly lease will be billed to us,” Cliff stated.
“OMG, you didn’t,” Bryce said looking at me. I smiled from ear to ear.
“Sorry, I couldn’t help myself, and besides, I told your mother it was coming to her, and I’d never lie to someone’s mother. Not going to happen,” I replied. Bryce hugged me with tears in his eyes. “Hey, you get to be the first one to drive it also. Should be fun,” I chided. I didn’t think he was ever going to let me go.
“Oh, one more thing, Bryce,” Cliff said causing Bryce to let me go from his big hug. “I talked to your parent’s bank this morning, and told them they’d be paid off in full on Thursday. I am wiring the funds tomorrow so they will be there when you two go to the bank on Thursday. I had the loan number and everything so all should be well with those folks. I swear the guy about shit himself when I told him what we were doing, but he seemed happy they were getting their money. You might want to rub it in on him some when you get there and see him face to face,” Cliff suggested. Anything else you need before I go back to work and make some more money for the company?” Cliff asked. I swear, Bryce actually hugged Cliff. “Oh, I like this guy more and more, Josh,” Cliff commented as they finished the hug. “You guys have a great time on Thursday. It’s going to be Christmas morning at Bryce’s house for sure,” Cliff said then saw himself out.
Bryce immediately hugged me again and then kissed me on the lips, holding my head in his hands. “I don’t know how I came to deserve you as a close friend, Josh, but I am so grateful that you care about me like you do. I can’t love you enough for your caring and thoughtfulness. I’m just blown away,” he told me, then kissed me again.
“Hey, you deserved all our care and friendship, Bryce. You’re with great friends now who take care of each other and watch each other’s backs. You’ll do the same thing for someone else someday, mark my word. Don’t forget to pay it forward,” I told him. He said he never would and would welcome the opportunity to make a difference in someone else’s life when he could. “Hey, that could be anytime. It isn’t always money that’s involved. Just being a good friend and listener helps also. Just sense a need of someone and try to fill it. That usually works well,” I told him.
“You have made a significant difference in my life now Josh. I understand so much more about friendship, brotherhood and the need to help others in need. I will pledge to be a disciple of yours as you have taught me so much about life in such a short time. The more I’m around you, the better person in this world I will be. Don’t ever stop teaching me the great things you know. I want to learn. I swear I do,” he told me. We hugged for a bit then I asked him if he was ready for lunch. I told him about our senior staff meeting we had at lunch and it would be nice for him to meet all the guys that attended. He knew some of them, but not all of them. He asked if it was okay if he attended or was it a confidential meeting. “Hey, you’re with me so you’re more than welcome to attend. Let’s get our asses over there before they start without us,” I chided. He chuckled, saying he was with me all the way.
