Chapter 521 – The News Conference and All The Fun Around It
While we’d just had the time of our lives physically loving one another, Saturday morning had now arrived. It was the day, in our minds to see if the embarrassment we’d planned for those that would take advantage of our beloved friend would turn out as we hoped it would. The table was set. Now we had to see if the plan played out and what fallout might happen.
Kyle was nervous, wondering if he should show up at all at his property. I hugged him before we got dressed, and told him to show up a little after 10:00, watching for Baxter to read the judge’s order, then acting surprised that all these people were trespassing on his land.
“Do I need a copy of the loan document showing ‘paid in full’?” Kyle asked.
“I’d take that with you, Kyle, just in case someone doubted it, but the fact that a judge issued an order for those being there uninvited as trespassing, shows that he acknowledges you rightfully own the property, and anyone else there, not at your invitation, is trespassing. You could show it to Clay, if he asks if you have proof you paid off your note. I told Clay he needs to ask good pointed questions of everyone there, anyone in authority he can get a comment from. He will ask you some questions, but just answer them truthfully, as you have nothing to hide,” I told Kyle. Kyle said he wished he didn’t have to be there. I hugged him again. “Listen, this part will only last a short time, but will impact this town for a long time. You can do this, knowing all of us are behind you and support you. We will be there, and will join you just as soon as the dust clears. You won’t be alone very long. Not that many people will know who you are anyway. Keep in mind, they don’t have a right to be there, but you have every right. I would tell Clay how shocked you are that someone actually moved equipment onto your property, and started tearing down buildings. Do whatever you have to do to show how blown away you are by the destruction of your property. Clay won’t be the only newsman there, but probably the only one with a cameraman doing interviews with various officials. He’s supposed to ask the mayor and president of the university how they feel about this new fantastic project. That ought to add a little fuel to the fire, when they find out nothing, they’ve been brought to believe, is real,” I told him, getting a small smile out of him.
“Josh, I wish you were there with me. I know you have to distant yourself, but just as soon as you think it’s safe to be by my side, know that I need you desperately,” Kyle told me.
“Cam will be there also, along with Rogers, who will undoubtedly be shocked as well, but happy you were able to keep the property. They’ll be right there with you, Kyle. Know we all love you, and are with you 100%. If things get out of hand, Conner, Neal, Lucky, and other law enforcement, will be there for protection. You’re going to be fine. Blake, Jake and I will be right there also. You’ll be fine. Just be yourself. You paid off your note, and no one but you have a right to be there today. All the rest of those gathered there today are technically trespassing. They’ll have a lot of explaining to do,” I told him.
“Okay, but if you see anything out of line or me faulter in anyway, please help me,” Kyle asked. I hugged him again.
“Tonight is Gay Night, and it will go on as planned. We need your help tending bar as always. You are part of us, and we love you. Let’s just get past this morning. This afternoon will be a new world in this town for sure,” I assured him, making him give me a small smile, then a quick kiss.
“I love you, Josh. I love you more than you could ever imagine. I can do this,” Kyle assured me. Again, we hugged.
Jake, Blake and I dressed to go to the news conference, while Trevor, Andy, Gabe and Iggy hung out at the apartment. We took my Jeep to Kyle’s property. Just as I thought, there were bulldozers and cranes tearing down buildings behind where there was a makeshift stage on a trailer set up with a podium, on which the mayor and university president would speak. We met Rogers and Cam there, getting hugs from both of them.
“Look who’s helping tear down the buildings. In case you’ve never seen the assholes, Spence is on the yellow bulldozer, and Simon is operating the orange one. Look how snide they look,” Cam said, pointing them out to us. He was right. Although they weren’t that bad on the eyes from where we stood, I knew they were assholes through and through. They seemed to be having fun demolishing things, acting like it was fun destroying the property. Clay was there, catching people and interviewing them on camera, getting their opinions on the new science building for the university and some perspective on Weinstein & Seward Construction Co. As luck would have it, he had Weinstein for an interview. I got as close as I could to hear what the asshole had to say about the new venture to Clay.
“Well, Clay, you can tell your viewers that this plan has been in place for several months now, knowing this property was going to be available today, as a matter of fact. We finally got full legal title to it last night at midnight, and we didn’t waste any time getting this project started for a much-needed addition to the university, providing them with a new science building. Knowing we had the property locked up, we went ahead and did all the planning ahead of time, so when the time came to take over the property, all the permits were in place and the construction could begin right away. We’ve always provided this community with excellent design and construction services, and are well endorsed by the university, which has used us for most all their buildings, once they saw what an excellent working relationship we have, providing them with turnkey services. It’s a proud day for Uni, the university, and our construction relationship, not to mention First National Bank that has worked tirelessly with us to provide this property as expeditiously as possible,” Weinstein stated to Clay and the viewership of Live 5 News.
“Mr. Weinstein, sir, who did you all purchase the property from, if I might ask?” Clay asked, catching Weinstein off guard.
“Uh, well that came about through First National Bank taking the land back over when the previous owner defaulted on a note with FNB. We were aware of the situation happening months ago, so we swung into action, did all the planning and permitting ahead of time, entered into an agreement with the University to build the building, getting all that approval done to the point where we are today. Clearing the land has started, and soon Weinstein & Seward Construction Co will be erecting a new science building on this location,” Weinstein explained.
“I see, so knowing this land would be available through FNB, you went ahead and did everything you could do ahead of time, until this very day, when you took possession of the land, to be able to start today. I guess that’s real efficiency, not wasting any time, dotting the I’s and crossing the T’s ahead of time, so you could take off the day you took over,” Clay said to Weinstein.
“That’s the way to do it, not waste any time. The University needs the building so we’re here to guarantee to build it the way they wanted it, where they wanted it, and on time,” Weinstein added.
“Whatever happened to the previous owner of the property, if I may ask, as it seems like he gave up a lot walking away from this valuable property?” Clay asked, making my dick hard when he did.
“Oh, I hear he ended up going to work for another construction company, doing well, I’m told. He’s a great young man, and I’m sure he landed on his feet,” Weinstein replied.
“So everyone wins in this situation then. That’s always a great story to tell and to hear. We thank you for that, and good luck with this project,” Clay told him, ending the interview. Weinstein walked away, just as the university president walked by, and Clay caught him.
“Mr. President, could you tell our viewers how all this came about?” Clay asked him.
“Why, I’m most happy to, Clay. By the way, as a graduate of our journalism school doing your internship, and then going full time at our university owned station on Live 5 News, we’re really proud of the job you’re doing bringing the news to our great community here, and representing the University as you’ve been doing. Great shot last night at the sports bar downtown, I caught last night. I don’t have to tell you, we have another National Championship team on our hands again this year. Coach Tuck and Coach Forest are doing one hell of a bang-up job coaching our team to another national championship. We’re so proud of them, just like the University is proud to invest more capital into our great community with this new science building we’re breaking ground for today. I see the bulldozers humming along out there clearing the land of this eyesore of old dilapidated worn-out apartment buildings that no one would want to live in, to erect a beautiful new science building. When Weinstein & Seward came to us with the property some months ago, we were excited that it was so close to main campus, only a block away, so it was a perfect spot. Mr. Hastings, President of First National Bank, said they could make it available to us rather quickly, so we got busy and put everything together ahead of time so we could jump right in and get it done. FNB and W&S worked tirelessly to put this together, so here we are watching progress take place. It’s an exciting day for the University and the community as a whole. We have total confidence in W&S construction to give us another beautiful functional building to add to all the others on campus. This is truly a great day,” the president stated.
“Well, I think all our viewers join in congratulating you and all those that worked so hard putting this together. Good luck, and we can’t wait to follow the construction process, and cover the grand opening of the new science building,” Clay ended the interview with.
Clay caught the mayor next, who praised FNB’s president Hastings, W&S Construction and the University for all the hard work and planning everyone put into this venture, saying how great it was to work with such ethical and model institutions such as these to really make progress in our town. Listening to all the bullshit put forth, I could only imagine the impact that Baxter was going to have when he took the podium. Jake, Blake and I stood in awe thinking about just that fact.
I looked around and spotted Lucky over my shoulder. Conner and Neal were there also in uniform. There were several other policemen in attendance in uniform, presenting a security presence for all the dignitaries that were in attendance. The time arrived for all of us to take our seats. Rogers and Cam took their seats inviting us to join them. I sat beside Cam, then Jake, then Blake. Cam reached over and squeezed my hand, knowing what was coming, and so excited he could hardly stand it. I told Cam about Clay’s interviews, and how they all told the world how marvelous everything was. Cam squeezed my hand again, knowing the proverbial shit was just about to hit the fan. I had a couple of seconds to look around, noticing Duncan in the audience. The mayor, university president, Hastings, Weinstein and Seward all took the stage on the back of a flatbed trailer that was decorated for the occasion in front of a crowd of a couple of hundred or more people it seemed. I was shocked at who all was invited. Rogers told me damn near all of the city council members were here, several of the board of governors of the university, the head of the planning commission and several other dignitaries around town.
Rogers leaned in to tell me he was proud he could help out Kyle, knowing this day was going to be extremely hard on him. Cam squeezed my hand again, recognizing his dad was about to get the shock of a lifetime. Finally, the head of the planning commission got up and introduced the mayor. The mayor introduced those on the stage with him, then talked about how all this came about, and how wonderful everyone worked together to provide this opportunity and make this day real. Our community and higher education in our state was benefiting from all the tireless work of these fine community leaders and individuals. He was kissing ass with the biggest puckered lips he could kiss with. The university president got up to speak, having been introduced by the mayor. He laid accolades all over all the guys on stage also, including their families and half the community itself. Then I heard someone walk down the center aisle rather briskly approaching the stage, accompanied by Conner in uniform. He climbed the steps to the stage, telling those on the stage he had a court order to halt the proceedings, and he had to read this to all that were in attendance. A slight panic seemed to take over the stage, Hastings grabbing Baxter, knowing who he was, and telling him he had no right to interrupt these proceedings. I heard Baxter tell Hastings he was trespassing, and he had no right to be here. Baxter apologized to the university president, but told him he had to read to the crowd what the judge just set forth.
Baxter first apologized for having to be here, but told the crowd that the property was still privately held, and no one had the right to be here other than the current owner who he referred to Kyle, his full name, as the rightful owner. Hastings vehemently protested, telling Baxter that was a damn lie as the bank owned it as of midnight last night and had transferred it to the W&S Construction at the same time. Baxter told him he was wrong, and had the note on the property, Hastings thought he was foreclosing on, marked ‘Paid in Full’ signed by an authorized officer of First National Bank. Hastings grabbed the note and looked it over, obviously seeing Cliff’s signature on the document. Hastings turned beet red, telling Baxter there had to be some mistake. Weinstein, and now Seward, were huddled up with Baxter and Hastings, telling Baxter he was full of shit as there was no way the note could have been paid off. I heard Baxter tell them they forgot to do their due diligence, telling them they now had a massive legal problem. I looked over and saw Clay was catching that all on live TV. I was so proud of him, I wanted to shave his balls right then and there, and get naked to do it. Baxter finally told all of them on stage, if they knew what was good for them, they needed to leave. The mayor, university president, Hastings, Weinstein and Seward told him that was an insult and he should leave. Then Baxter read the judge’s order, imposing the penalty of $1,000 per minute for those responsible for the trespassing on the property and for any damages done to the property while they were here. The crowd looked totally shocked as he told all of us, the Bank, W&S Construction and the University would be held liable for any damages done to Kyle’s property, so everyone needed to leave or face trespassing charges and possible arrest. I thought Weinstein was going to throw a punch at Baxter, but Conner stood in front of him, almost begging him to try. All the dignitaries dismounted the stage in a huff. The university president was threatening to sue anyone that had anything to do with this supposed fraudulent deal, as he hastily stepped down off the stage. Clay cornered him for a comment. He looked right into the camera saying that FNB and W&S Construction had a huge liability suit on their hands as soon as he could call his attorneys. He promised the audience they would pay dearly for this, if there wasn’t some mistake. Seeing as a judge ruled in Kyle’s favor, he doubted there was any mistake. I looked back and saw Kyle standing beside Lucky. He was smiling. I wanted to hug and kiss him so bad.
While chaos ensued in the audience, and Clay was trying to get comments from Hastings, Weinstein and Seward, Spence and Simon were still knocking down buildings. Lucky took off with Kyle to tell them they had to vacate the property. I lost sight of Cam in the process, only to see him following Lucky and Kyle to where Simon and Spence, along with others, were demolishing the structures. Lucky got in front of Spence’s dozer, telling him to get off the dozer. Spence told him to go to hell, as he owned this property. We finally caught up to them. Kyle had enough of the two of them, and told them to get off his property or go to jail.
“Listen, you mother fucking faggot, this isn’t your land anymore, and you need to get the fuck off of our property. Fuck you, if you think you’re going to stop us now,” Spence told him.
“I still own this property, and a judge says I do, and you’re trespassing, so you get the fuck off the property or face getting arrested,” Kyle shouted at him.
“You still have your stuff in that building you were living in?” Spence asked Kyle. Kyle told him he did, and he intended to leave it there. Spence jumped on the dozer again, and nearly running over Kyle and Lucky, headed straight for the building which was near the temporary stage where all the crowd gathered for the news conference. To the horror of all of us, Spence plowed right into the apartment that Kyle had his stuff in, demolishing it almost completely, backing up and charging forward, knocking it all down. Clay caught it all on camera, even the horrible comments that Spence had made, and continued to make, calling Kyle a mother fucking faggot. Finally, Lucky pointed a gun at Spence, telling him to stop or he’d stop him. Spence finally stopped, and got off the dozer as Simon joined him, ready for a fight. “Look faggot, you’re done here, and I’m going to make sure your done,” Spence said, coming after Kyle.
“No, mother fucker, you’re done here,” I heard Cam say, standing in front of Spence, who drew back to take a swing at Cam, only Lucky stepped in just in time to take Spence to the ground, whipping handcuffs on him and telling him he was under arrest. Simon tried to come to Spence’s aid, attacking Lucky while he was putting handcuffs on Spence. Conner grabbed Simon and threw him to the ground, handcuffing him as well. Lucky told them both they were under arrest for assault, destroying private property and trespassing. Both of them told Lucky and Conner to fuck off, as they didn’t know who they were dealing with. Conner assured them he and Lucky knew exactly the kind of trash they were dealing with, pissing the two off even more.
“Fuck you all,” Spence hollered, struggling to get free of Lucky right in front of Clay’s camera. “Fuck you, TV man. What are you looking at anyway?” Spence protested, trying to spit on Clay.
“I told you we burned down the wrong building, Spence. We should have burned down the one the faggot was living in and him with it,” Simon said.
“Shut up, Simon, you moron,” Spence yelled.
“Sounds like a confession of arson to me. I guess we’ll add that to the charges also,” Conner commented.
“Guess who’ll be faggots now? You guys are going away for years, it seems. Hope you like being some greaser’s bitch in prison, as pretty as you boys are. I’m sure you’ll get a lot of dicks up your ass where you’re going,” Cam said proudly. I patted him on the back.
“Shut the fuck up, Cam. We should have finished you off in junior high, you little faggot,” Simon yelled.
“What, and deny me the satisfaction of knowing you’re going to be someone’s bitch in prison. I knew it had to happen sooner or later, and I guess it just did. Maybe I’ll send you mail so you can remember I’m free, and you’re a bitch with a dirty dick up your ass,” Cam told them. I could tell they just wanted to explode. Conner and Lucky threw them in squad cars that were there on the scene. Then they gathered up with us.
“Went a little overboard provoking those two, didn’t you?” Conner asked Cam. I swear Cam actually smiled. I had to hug him, as he smiled for the first time in years. I swear I thought his dad was going to cry. I held him tightly, wanting to cry I was so happy. Kyle, Jake, and Blake hugged him also.
“Serves the fuckers right. I’ve waited for this day to see them hauled off in handcuffs for years upon years. I guess I finally had something to smile about. Kind of brings out the best in you, knowing your mortal enemies are finally in custody and should be there for a long time,” he said, as his father gave him a hug, undeniably happy.
“Kyle, what does this all mean? Is it true? You still own the land?” Rogers asked. Kyle smiled.
“Absolutely, me and an investment banking firm out of Chicago,” Kyle replied.
“How did you convince someone to back you with such short notice?” Rogers asked, still dumbfounded. Kyle smiled.
“It helps to know the right people, and have the right friends that have your back,” Kyle explained. Rogers shook his head in amazement, then gave me a strange look.
“Don’t look at me,” I told him, looking totally innocent, although I was totally guilty.
“Hal, partner. You know that one last big project you were hoping to nail before you retire. Well, I think I just found it for us,” Kyle said proudly. “You think you can convince the University to continue the project, only with the rightful owners of the property instead of those that tried to defraud them?” Kyle asked with a smile.
“Oh, Kyle, I think I love you as much as Cam for that. I knew you were a winner, and I needed to help you. You are a true winner, more than anyone can imagine,” Hal replied. Hal hugged Kyle like he hugged his own son. Cam joined in a three-way hug with both of them. It was a sight to behold. I swear, it almost brought a tear to the three of us.
“Uh, I think you have some explaining to do, young man,” a voice from behind me said. I recognized that as Conner’s voice. I turned around. “Did you know about this ahead of time and forget to clue us in?” Conner asked me. I looked innocent.
“We didn’t’ find out for sure until last night when Kyle brought us the note, marked ‘paid in full’. Everything was all set at that point, and I knew no one would believe Kyle anyway, so I told him to have his new investment partner obtain legal counsel to guide him through the process of what he needed to do. I guess they chose Baxter’s firm, and they handled the details,” I explained to Conner who gave me a weird look.
“While all that may be true, I still think you could have given us a heads up in advance, just in case some kind of severe chaos broke out. This whole thing could have been called off at the last minute and saved a whole bunch of people a lot of egg off their faces,” Conner replied.
“What, and miss all the embarrassment. You can’t tell me they all didn’t deserve what they got,” I replied. Conner smiled.
“I have to admit, it was kind of enjoyable, seeing all those kiss asses scramble, hit point blank with their own stupidity. Hastings will be lucky if the bank doesn’t fire him, and Weinstein and Seward have lost all credibility for now. Their two sons are in deep shit for sure, which needed to happen. I’ll bet the DA will ask for no bail, and they be remanded. That wouldn’t surprise me. Just promise me you guys will keep an eye out over your backs, as you ruffled some pretty powerful feathers on some pretty powerful people here today. They don’t like it when they’re embarrassed and sometimes seek revenge,” Conner warned. I guess we hadn’t stopped to think about that, but as far as everyone knew, Kyle paid off his note, and sought justice from those that sought to do him injustice.
“Josh, Kyle, I can tell you guys, but keep this to yourselves. Lucky did some surveillance yesterday of Spence and Simon’s townhouse. We saw several known drug dealers come and go there. There is enough evidence to get a search warrant for their home. I know we’re going to find some very incriminating evidence there for drug dealing and use. I could tell both of them were hyped up on something today even. I’ll press to get a search warrant for this afternoon based on what we saw yesterday. I’m pretty sure it won’t be hard to get one, now that Simon almost admitted to the arson done here, and the fact they’re in custody for a plethora of other charges. Let’s face it, they’re not nice guys at all. It’s time they went away for a long time,” Conner added.
“Hey, Kyle, you’re making $1,000 per minute until your property is completely vacated by everyone that’s not invited. I haven’t seen the dozers disappear yet, and the trailer and chairs are still set up. Not to mention there’s a whole lot of destruction that happened here today. Going to cost someone a fortune to rebuild all those buildings they tore down. If the University gives you and Hal any trouble with going through with the deal for the science building with the two of you, someone has to rebuild the apartment buildings for you. Either way you win, the way I see it,” I told Kyle, who was all smiles.
“We’ll get the University on board, Josh. I know the right people to talk to there to get this thing going again. I might need your buddies, Todd and Chad’s, help with the construction of it, but we can get this thing off and running in very short order, I have to believe. We just have to change the names on the permits, as they’ve already been issued. I’m sure the planning commission would be anxious to change the names today if we asked them, to spare them any more embarrassment,” Hal replied, making us all smile.
“As far as the penalties are concerned, we have an officer here to determine the exact time all the equipment is removed and the premises cleared of any foreign content. He will report back to the court for their assessment of punitive damages. Going to be expensive for Weinstein & Seward Construction, I would assume,” Conner stated.
“Guys, I think after all this excitement, we need a beer. What do you guys think?” I asked. Conner and Neal said they were officially off duty, once this new conference thing was over. They both agreed it was done and buried at this point. Hal said he definitely needed one, as did Cam and Kyle. Lucky said he was still on duty, and had to wait. Conner told him, he’d let him off early today, like about now. He’d take care of it, since he covered the news conference. Lucky was all smiles. All of us headed to the CNB.
Jordan, Nate and Cliff were there at the CNB when we got back. Kyle ran up to take Iggy out to do his business while Jake, Blake, Cam and I met with our legal team in the office. Hal, Conner, Neal and Lucky got a table and were quickly served a beer.
“Okay, with the developments of this morning, you obviously heard we got a judge’s order for everyone to vacate the property that was uninvited to be there. That is still in the process of happening, as the heavy equipment is still there. We have a team of investigators determining the damage that was done so far. I would suspect nothing less than a few hundred thousand dollars. It’s going to be expensive. We’ve provided Baxter with a lawsuit to be filed on behalf of Kyle and Invescor for additional damages other than the punitive damages, which will cover the damage to the buildings and Kyle’s personal property in his apartment. We know he had expensive computers in there along with expensive security equipment, clothes, etc. which we’ll be claiming as damage. Now, the DA is looking into the situation for possible fraud. Needless to say, there is a lot of heat coming down at the moment on Hastings, Weinstein and Seward. Baxter is considering suing them personally and corporately for what happened. We’ll leave that up to him. If we think he’s too light on something, Nate and I will jump in and draft something for him to go on, but for now, I think he’s handling it rather well. The judge couldn’t believe Hastings didn’t check to see that he had legal title to the land. He cited that as gross negligence, which it is,” Jordan stated with a smile. “Tell them about you being called in and ripped, Cliff,” Jordan asked Cliff. Cliff smiled.
“Well, looks like I’m officially going to work for Henry at First Central Bank, as we were planning anyway. Hastings, Weinstein and Seward met up at the bank after everything exploded at Kyle’s. I got called in to meet with them. I swear they called me every bad name in the book. Get this, they wanted to know why I didn’t tell Hastings the loan had been paid off. I asked him when did I ever report to him about any loan being paid off. He couldn’t answer that question, then he scolded me for allowing it to happen. I told him that was my job to process payments of loans, and if they were paid in full to certify that payment. I told him it was listed on the loan payoff report, had he bothered to look at it. That infuriated him to no end, because he realized he was negligent on something extremely important. Oh, and I got snide remarks from Weinstein and Seward also. Hastings got so frustrated he told me I was fired, and to get the hell out of the bank. I asked him why I was being fired. He told me for fucking up this whole loan payoff situation. I said, you’re firing me for doing what you pay me to do? He said, fuck it, just get the hell out. I did say this is what wrongful termination suits are all about, then walked out the door. They just looked at one another like they didn’t know what to do. I swear, for as wealthy as they are, they are some of the most ignorant businessmen, I’ve ever had to deal with. Anyway, I’m grateful to be working for Henry now and away from those assholes,” Cliff explained.
“Okay, so Monday we’ll begin the process of changing banks. I thought he might at least wait until Monday to fire you, but I guess he just couldn’t wait and had to take his stupidity out on you. So be it. He just lost his largest depositor. Wonder how the bank board is going to like that one,” I said.
“Oh, it’s going to be a tough few days for Hastings and his two stooges next week, if they even survive. Losing us, is going to be the biggest hit ever to that bank. Throw in the huge debacle with Kyle’s property, and it might just get nasty for them,” Jordan stated.
“Very nasty when our law suits start hitting,” Nate added. “Jordan and I highly suspect that the University will be filing suit against the bank, Weinstein and Seward for fraud. This town will be in an uproar for weeks to come. I think the whole community just found out how deceitful some of their community leaders can be. Even the mayor was embarrassed, asked to leave the property because he was trespassing, trying to make a presentation. I’m sure that went over well,” Nate commented.
“Anything else we need to do today?” I asked Nate and Jordan.
“Just go about your business as usual, Josh. The damage is done, and all the wheels are in motion. The other side is scrambling to do damage control so they’re busier than hell. Our work is done for the moment,” Jordan replied. “Oh, ask Conner to check on the charges against the two boys, Simon and Spence. I guess Clay got some great damning shots of Simon telling Spence they set the wrong building on fire. Going to make a great partial confession in court when they’re charged with arson along with several other offenses,” Jordan chided. We all had big smiles, Cam especially.
“Cam, did you just smile?” Nate asked him. Cam smiled again, just to prove he could. “Damn, if that isn’t something,” Nate exclaimed.
“You should have seen him going after Spence and Simon today. He gave them a good dose of what for, let me tell you. He was fearless. Lucky had to take Spence down when he went after Kyle, but Cam stepped in front of Kyle willing to take the hit,” I explained.
“Oh, I wanted him to hit me so bad, so I could sue the shit out of him. Oh well, it worked out okay, and I didn’t have to take the hit. All is good, but I did get a kick out of the two being taken to the ground, handcuffed, arrested and hauled off. It couldn’t have been nicer,” Cam replied. I patted him on the back.
“Okay, it’s Saturday and we’re out of here. If I find out anything new over the weekend, I’ll give you a call, Josh. The boys are jail where they belong, so they’re no longer a threat to anyone. Hastings, Weinstein and Seward are busy plotting how to survive this huge expensive embarrassment they created for themselves, Kyle has his land and is going to get a shit ton of money for his troubles, plus be able to develop the property the way it should have been done in the first place, and Invescor will get it’s half-million back in hardly no time at all. I think, all in all, it’s been a pretty productive day so far,” Jordan stated. I had to give both of them a hug for all their hard work in all of this. Cam got hugs simply for smiling. Blake and Jake wanted hugs also, since everyone was hugging everyone.
Blake, Jake, Cam and I joined Conner, Neal, Hal and Kyle at their table for beer and lunch. “Hey, while you were meeting with Nate and Jordan, Josh, I called the station to see what the status was on the two creeps we arrested. They’re currently in lockup and desperately trying to find an attorney to represent them. They went after Baxter, obviously, but he can’t represent them, nor would he anyway. As tough a defense attorney as he is, he does have standards. He eveb called Simon and Spence total losers. I guess their dads are content to let them stay behind bars, as they haven’t been reached yet,” Conner informed us. “Oh, and the equipment is still there at Kyle’s. Gees, Kyle, I think you should by lunch making $1,000 a minute. I think you’re currently the highest paid person in the country right now, surely at this table,” Conner chided.
“Hey, lunch is on me,” Kyle eagerly offered. We all laughed.
“Oh, and the detectives executed a warrant to search the home of Spence and Simon. Our chief detective said he’d get back to me a little later, but said they’ve found enough stuff to put the guys away for a long time. It will be interesting to see what all they find,” Conner added.
Out of nowhere, Trevor and Andy showed up. “Listen guys, we’ve been upstairs watching all this on Live 5 News. Clay has done an exceptional job of covering this story this morning. Wow this is a blockbuster for sure. They keep replaying the first interviews with the mayor, university president, Hastings and Weinstein about how wonderful everything is, then they follow that up with the mayhem that takes place and comments from the same people afterwards. The university president is pissed beyond belief. They had to bleep out several cuss words that Weinstein used, then him telling Clay to get the fucking camera out of his face and fuck off. Oh, and almost all the words were bleeped out of what Spence and Simon had to say, as they were being arrested. We did get to hear Simon tell Spence they burned down the wrong building, and should have burned down the one with Kyle in it. That was all live on TV this morning, and they continually play it over again, as Clay narrates what took place this morning, a surprise to the whole community. Clay interviewed several people that were just spectators there for the news conference. You should hear some of their comments about our bankers, developers and university president. Don’t think those guys will be doing too many press conferences in the near future. Oh, and the mayor was really pissed. They had to bleep a few of his words also. Shocking is the best word to describe what happened this morning. This is the biggest thing to hit Uni in its entire history. Oh, and Clay is putting together additional footage and talking to additional people this afternoon for a special on today’s events this evening and then again tomorrow afternoon. And we thought Saturdays and Sundays were slow news days. Huh. This is crazy. But, I wanted you to know, that Clay did a bang up job on the way this was covered. You could almost say he overdid it, but a story like this, you need to get as much information and coverage as you can get. Andy and I were glued to the report, it was that bizarre and interesting. Even Iggy sat there and watched it with us as he sniffed our junk,” Trevor stated.
I got a surprise call from Will asking me what the hell happened in Uni this morning, as it was all over the news in the City. He said this Clay guy did a great job of investigative reporting. I had to laugh, telling him I told him to watch the news this morning to see what took place. Will said he even saw a quick mention of it on a cable news network, with promise to have a better report later, once they vetted the story. He told us this went national. He also said there were people there shooting videos on their phones as things were happening, and some of those had gone viral already. Social media was blowing up with the story. Will said he saw us at times in the background. Then he said his only regret was he hadn’t been here to see it first hand with us. I told him he missed a good show, but thanked him for telling us what he saw and heard. He said he just had to tell me what he saw, since I mentioned it to him yesterday that something was bound to happen. Then he told me he loved me, and we’d talk later. I told the guys the story was really getting out everywhere. That seemed to please them to no end.
Rogers asked Kyle if he had time to go to the office, and start formulating a plan to resurrect the science building project with the University. Kyle said he was all for it. Cam said he’d work with them also. Kyle went and got Iggy, then the three of them took off. Conner, Neal and Lucky were going to go to the station to check on the charges against Spence and Simon, saying they’d see us later. Jake, Blake and I were about to go to Rod’s for our Saturday afternoon help with the rehab of the house, when none other than Dale walked through the door.
“Damn, we’ve missed you, bro,” I told him, as I gave him a big hug. Dale was all smiles.
“I did it, Josh. I finally did it all this morning. I got my commercial, instrument and flight instructor’s licenses. I’ve got all the ratings now. I’m an official pilot able to fly almost anything, except for the jets, which you have to be type rated in, but Tom and James can certify me in those when they’re ready. I’m so excited I could almost shoot my load,” he chided.
“Well, if you need somewhere to shoot it, I have a nice ass that would love to receive it,” I chided. He raised his eyebrows, as if excited to hear that. Blake, Jake and I had to hug him again. “Gees, Dale, we’re so proud of you. You’ve done a fantastic job of racking up the ratings in such a short period of time. But, as Greyson says, you’re a natural pilot. It’s amazing, totally amazing,” I said patting him on the back. He was so proud.
“I never could have done it without your help, Josh. You guys got me to where I am today. I’d still be two years away from having those ratings had it not been for you guys,” Dale admitted.
“Hey, two years was too long to wait to get the pilot we needed. Now that we have you in place, we can go places. Plus, you can teach Cam how to fly also. Oh, and by the way, we finally got him to smile, just so you know. He actually smiled today for the first time in years, ever since he was traumatized in junior high school,” I told him. Dale looked shocked, asking me if I tickled his ass or something. “Nope, he told the two guys that traumatized him, they were going to jail for years to come and would be bitch boys to the prison general population. Him being able to tell them that, made him smile. I have to admit, I smiled also, as did all of us,” I told Dale. Dale shook his head in disbelief.
“Can’t wait to start working with him. He’ll have his private license in no time, as talented as he is,” Dale replied.
“So, you going to be able to celebrate with us?” I asked, excitedly. Dale smiled.
“I will be here to help you guys tonight for Gay Night, and, if I’m lucky, I can spend the night with you guys, if that’s okay,” he told us. The three of us practically melted.
“Oh, Dale, is it ever, buddy. We’ve been waiting for this for a long time. It can’t happen fast enough for our sake,” I replied to his smiling face.
“Just be gentle, is all I ask. Remember, I might be a good pilot, but I don’t have any idea how to handle the kind of male intimacy you guys have. I envy you guys, having the ability to love one another physically like you do. I can’t wait to experience it with you,” he said, making my cock hard in my jeans.
“Oh, you just wait. You are in for the treat of a lifetime, my friend. We will take excellent care of you. You will feel totally loved, by the time you leave here tomorrow. I can promise you that,” I replied.
“You already made me feel loved, Josh. I can’t wait to feel it physically. I’m excited, in case you can’t tell. Gotta run now, as I have a charter in the 310 this afternoon to take for Greyson, as he has one in the King Air. Oh, and I’m good for the King Air now also, as I have the minimum number of hours in it to qualify for the insurance. So, if you guys need to go somewhere in the King Air, I’m your pilot,” he said proudly. I had to hug him again, telling him I loved him. Dale was so excited. It couldn’t have happened to a better guy. Dale took off to the airport, then Jake, Blake and I headed to Rod’s.
The boys were all abuzz at what happened this morning at Kyle’s property, somewhat overjoyed at the apprehension of Spence and Simon. “Damn, you guys had those assholes by the short hairs this morning. You should have seen the look on their faces when that lawyer got up on the stage, and told all those big wigs they were trespassing, and the penalty was a thousand bucks a minute. I swear they almost shit themselves, or should have anyway. Their looks were priceless. I’ve never seen grown men in the state of shock as these guys were. Can you imagine the president of the university giving a speech, and having it interrupted by an attorney telling him he was trespassing? I mean, that was fucking unbelievable. I don’t know who, but you know some guys are losing their dicks this afternoon, getting them cut off at the base, and allowed to bleed to death. Wow, I still can’t believe it. Oh, and there were so many videos of it, that YouTube had to set up a separate category just to hold all the ones submitted. It even got mentioned on cable news and the networks, according to reports. It was nothing less than awesome, guys,” Rod said, excitedly, on quite a roll. I just smiled.
“Yes, it was quite a sight to behold. Needless to say, I think our Kyle will come out okay in all of this. I understand law suits have been filed on his behalf by the company backing him, so this isn’t over by any stretch of the imagination. Plus, the punitive damages of a thousand dollars a minute are adding up fast. Just think about making 6 grand a hour. Who does that, except maybe Bill Gates or someone like that. I understand that at 1:00 the dozers still hadn’t been moved so the clock is still ticking, and the charges are still adding up. Weinstein and Seward are going to pay dearly for all of the shit they created. Rogers, Cam’s dad, is working with Kyle now on putting together a proposal for the University to get them back on track with the science building, but Weinstein and Seward will not be participating in that. I think Todd and Chad will have to put that together. Just think, those two were basically a two-man operation for the longest time, with sub contractors in the various trades. Now, they’re probably the largest construction company in the state, with two major construction sites going with the possibility of a third, after this morning,” I stated. We all had to stop and think about that for a moment.
“You forgot one other project they’re working on,” Tyler mentioned. I looked at him curiously. “This one. Our house. They’re doing work here also,” Tyler reminded us. We laughed, but it was true, then I reminded them that they were working on our house also where the rest of our group lived.
“Noting like having the two owners of the largest construction company in the state personally working on your house,” I chided. “But then, as inexpensive as they are making this for everyone, they almost can’t afford to sub it out, as no sub would touch it for what we’re paying. What the hell, they get free beer and steak when they want it also,” I commented, making the guys laugh, as if that was any big deal compared to the work they were contributing.
To my surprise, Tink was actually there helping out, having spent last night at the house with Jeb, Edgar and Dylan. He was moving a little slowly, giving me an indication his ass got a real workout last night. He told me so later, but said it was Heaven and he couldn’t wait to do it again tonight. I rolled my eyes, then told him not to wear it out. He told me he thought he had a lot of miles left on his ass yet.
Dylan showed up, acting half frozen. “You guys left without me, and I had to walk over here,” Dylan complained, as he tried to warm up, coming out of the cold. “Almost froze my balls off getting here,” He complained.
“Damn, and you have some big balls too,” Lonnie chimed in.
“Thank you for noticing, Lonnie. I knew you liked my balls and my dick for that matter. I’m telling you, we’re more alike than you realize. I mean we’ve had sex a couple of times already, so I’m thinking you’re kind of into this, only you just don’t want to admit it,” Dylan chided, as Jake and I squeezed him between us, running our hands up and down him, trying to warm him up some.
“Oh, now, let’s not get crazy here. Yeh, I’d say in a pinch, if I was super horny, your mouth is as good as any pussy I’ve had, but I wouldn’t want to make a habit of it,” Lonnie replied. “I have to say, you did make me cum hard both times. Can’t say that’s ever happened with a girl before,” Lonnie stated, thinking about it.
“See, I knew it was only a matter of time. Let me stick my cock up your ass and show you what a real good time feels like,” Dylan offered, making Lonnie grimace.
“Okay, I think we need to confine whatever bro sex we have to oral, and me receiving only. My butthole is an out door, not an in door,” Lonnie said rather emphatically, making us all laugh. Dylan asked him if he was able to lick his own dick yet. “Not yet, but I’m still working on my stretching technique to get me there. If I could just bend my back a little more, I could make it,” Lonnie replied.
“If your dick was just a little longer, you could make it also. That’s your problem, Lonnie, your dick isn’t long enough like mine is,” Dylan chided him. Lonnie wasn’t sure how to respond to that, although he was miffed, he didn’t have a good comeback. We told them both to give it up, as we had work to do. Dylan winked at Tink, who scratched his ass, making Dylan smile.
We were there about an hour, when Todd and Chad showed up. “Good grief, Josh, what kind of shit storm did you create this morning?” Todd asked, all excited, as they came rushing in out of the cold. I smiled.
“Me? I’d say the individuals that had a problem this morning caused their own shit storm,” I replied. Todd shook his head at me.
“Oh, for something as crazy as that was, you had to know something was going to happen,” he said. I just smiled. “Come on, you can tell us all about it. We can keep a secret,” Todd added.
“I can tell you this. You guys need to ramp up for another project,” I told them, getting their undivided attention. “Now that Kyle is over the forfeiture of his land to the bank, he and Rogers are making a play for the science building, and you guys are going to have to arrange to build it,” I informed them.
“WTF? Seriously?” Todd asked, with Chad about to lose his breath. “Shit, Josh, we’ve got two major projects going on now. I’m not sure we can find that many extra people to do another large project,” Todd replied, with Chad totally agreeing.
“Well, I would imagine that since W&S Construction isn’t going to be building the science building, you might find some extra people there for starters,” I suggested. That seemed to strike a chord with the two.
“Yeh, I guess it’s possible, but they too, use some of the same subs we use, and we all can’t use them on all projects, as there aren’t that many to go around,” Chad informed me.
“Look, you guys are big now. Whether you intended that to happen or not, you’re there. You’re in the big leagues now, and it doesn’t look like business is slowing up any, if we keep finding projects for you to build. You need to think about replacing yourselves for what you do now, so you can manage multiple projects, because you’re ending up with multiple projects, when you think about it. Kyle and Rogers will stipulate that the building must be constructed by you guys. You have a solid reputation in this town, and currently are the only guys building anything big in town. I know that just rubs Weinstein and Seward the wrong way, but it’s true,” I assured them.
“Oh, I know it eats Weinstein and Seward’s ass. No doubt about it. Some of our subs that have worked for them also, tell us that there is no love for us at all. They hate the fact we ended up with the dormitory and the office building. Our subs say they were pissed because they didn’t have an opportunity to bid on the projects, and they thought they should have,” Todd informed us.
“We didn’t have to bid it out, because, as a private corporation, we can hire whoever we want. If we were publicly held, we should have had a bidding process, but if I can’t trust you two guys to make it right, then I don’t want to build anything. We’re joined together in more ways than one, and it will always be that way, brother helping brother,” I reaffirmed. Todd hugged me, then Chad.
“You don’t know how much that means to us to hear you say that, Josh. The two of us couldn’t be more grateful to all you guys for making us a part of your family, and growing us to what we are today. My daddy told Chad and I we’d never amount to much, unless we kicked that gay shit, as he put it. Now look at us. He’s blown away, saying he never ever thought we’d be as large as we are today, almost the largest construction company in the state. Only the highway and bridges guys are larger, but we’re now the largest building construction company, and you’re threatening to make us larger,” Todd explained.
“What, you guys are gay too?” Rod asked, somewhat surprised.
“Ceritfiably gay. Why, you have a problem with that?” he asked, point blank. Rod, Lonnie and Tyler were somewhat shocked. Tink smiled, having seen how large Todd’s dick was in a dick measuring contest.
“Uh, no, not at all. We love Josh, Jake, Blake and their crew. You guys have been fantastic to work with and hang with also. No concerns here at all,” Rod explained, trying to smooth things over, thinking he had ruffled some feathers by asking the question of gender preference the way he did.
“Well, that’s good, as there are a lot of us out here, and we’re all damn good people. You should know, as you’re hanging with the best here with Josh and his team,” Chad commented.
“I agree. Josh and Jake are my best buds, Blake too. Hell, all of them are great. Dylan, he’s great too, and has amazing talents that Lonnie can’t duplicate, not yet anyway,” Rod replied, making us all laugh. “Uh, maybe I shouldn’t ask this, but knowing how large your member is, Todd, have you done anything, you know, like sexually, with these guys?” Rod asked sheepishly.
“Not that it’s any of your fucking business, but let’s just say we’ve gotten to know each other very intimately, which only made our bonds stronger,” Todd replied.
“Damn, I’d hate to be on the receiving end of that thing you have between your legs,” Lonnie commented. Todd smiled at him. Rod and Tyler gulped, but Tink smiled.
“Before we got off on gender preferences that seem important to our breeder friends here,” Todd started to say, as Rod, Tyler and Lonnie seemed puzzled as to what breeders were, “I was going to tell you, I’m not sure we have the capital capacity to handle any additional jobs right now. We’re cash flowing with what you guys set up for interim payments, but a huge project like the science building is going to take additional capital to get started, Josh. I’m not sure we can swing it just yet,” Todd informed me. I smiled.
“Capital is the least of our worries, Todd. You get the manpower and the subs to get the project rolling, once we have a deal with the University, and I’ll get you the capital needed. We’re all in this together, and I’ll be damned if I’m going to let you miss an opportunity to build this building. We’ve got your back,” I assured him. He came over and hugged me. Then Chad did also. Then they hugged Blake, Jake and Dylan. Then Rod hugged me.
“What was that for?” I asked Rod, enjoying the hug, but not sure what it was for. He smiled.
“I’ve seen your balls and they’re nice sized and all, but after today, I think they just doubled in size, and I want to be on your good side and have you love me too,” Rod stated.
“You crazy ass. You know I love you too, all you guys. We’re all brothers here whether you suck cock or not,” I joked.
“I can learn to suck cock, if that’s important to you,” Rod replied, making me laugh.
