Chapter 688 - C
“Well, maybe someday we’ll get to fly in this baby. You have it reserved much yet?” I asked.
“Hell, it’s leased out almost indefinitely, Josh. We could use two of these and still not have enough. Several companies in Chicago have bought into the monthly lease for this thing. Hell, it shocked me even. I thought it might be nip and tuck the first year or so, but you wouldn’t believe the companies that have jumped on this thing. It sells itself, and I have a pretty hefty lease factor built into it. Tell Greyson to list in on the University’s list of planes to charter, as it could be over there in 20 minutes tops to take whoever wherever. Takes a lot longer to fly to Chicago to pick up clients than to Uni,” Tom boasted, but he was dead right. However, I will say it’s less expensive for Chicago based companies to charter us and we pick them up than for them to use a Chicago based charter service. Much lower overhead here in the City,” Tom explained.
“We have a lot to do today, so we need to run. You’ve got Greyson, Dale and Cam with you while the five of us take care of other things. We’ll be back late afternoon to head back to Uni as we have Gay Night tonight, so we need all hands on deck. Let’s go meet Pierce and say hello to Dallas. I don’t think I’ve seen him since I put a bow tie on his cock and balls for his and Jody’s wedding, well at least since Spring break,” I told James and Tom.
“Oh, about your trip on Monday. If you don’t need Dale and Cam the entire time you’re there, I have some shuttle work that will bring in some extra money I can have them do out of Key West, Ft. Lauderdale and Orlando in the King Air. I thought it might give them more experience and make us some good money also. I’ll pay them flight crew wages on top of what you pay them now and still make a small fortune,” Tom assured me.
“Hey, I’m sure they’d jump at the chance. If they lay over in Ft. Lauderdale, I’m sure Jason and Erin would entertain them,” I replied. Tom said it was a deal, and he’d set it all up.
We left Dale, Greyson and Cam in the Tri-Jet and headed to the Ready Room to see Dallas and meet Pierce. Jake and I got a big hug from Dallas and a bro hug from Pierce. Jeb and Edgar got bro hugs also. They were both in awe of everything at the moment, almost spellbound. Pierce was another hottie, a little more rugged, but in a sexy cowboy kind of way. His mannerisms and stature reminded me a little of Lucky. I could only imagine what he was packing downstairs behind that zipper. He was very self-assured in his speech and joking. He was likeable right off the bat. I think we all got a favorable impression with him. Now, if we could just get him naked and check out the rest of what he had, I could satisfy my curiosity as well as Will’s and Jake’s. Even Jeb and Edgar might be interested in that scenario. Who knew?
“Great organization you have here, guys,” Pierce told us. “Dallas and I’ve been buddies for some time flying the big boys, but this little baby out there in the hangar is more like a sports car to us. It’s a lot of fun, and we can make some money with that bird. I’m sure Tom and James told you it’s booked up solid for some time. Can’t help but make money that way. That little bitch is fast also, so we can even get home in time for dinner,” Pierce said. “Gonna like it here for sure. Great people and a great part of the country,” Pierce told us. I asked him where he was from. “Born in Texas out on the prairies. Flew my first bird out of a dirt strip. Stuck in my craw and never got it out of my blood. Worked at a local airport as a line boy until I got my license, then joined the Air Force not much later than getting hair on my dick. Thought I’d make it a career, but Dallas here, talked me into this business. Can’t say I miss the Air Force that much, as much as I like what we’re doing here. At least we don’t have to lick any general’s ass in this business,” Pierce chided.
“I don’t know, I thought that last rim job you gave me felt pretty damn good,” Dallas teased. Pierce burst out laughing.
“He’s a wise one, but a great friend. I’d take a bullet for him any day,” Pierce replied. “So, you, Josh and Jake, you’re the guys with the fuzzy balls, huh?” Pierce asked.
“I hope they’re not fuzzy, as I shave them often,” I replied teasingly. Pierce laughed.
“Yeh, I guess you might, thinking about it. Figure of speech meaning you guys are the top brass, the generals of the organization, I guess,” Pierce replied. We laughed.
“We all work hard together as a team and support one another to the fullest. Glad to have you aboard as one of the team, Pierce. I hope you’ll love it like we all do. Tom, James, Rick, Dallas, Jody and a bunch of others here at Stoney Aviation and Stoney Enterprises will all support you and make sure you feel like you’re part of us, an important part of us, because you are,” I told him.
“That means a lot to me, Josh, as my life hasn’t always been that way. Listening to Dallas talk about how wonderful you were to Jody and him after they got rolled that night in Key West and the wonderful courtesy you extended to them putting them up and throwing them a dream wedding, I figured you guys had to be decent folk. Hell, it takes a big man to put a bowtie on my buddy’s junk, let me tell you,” he said, then busted out laughing. Dallas rolled his eyes.
“Pay him no mind, Josh. He’s as crazy as the rest of us, but he does have a good heart. He has a big dick too, but he saves that for the ladies, unfortunately,” Dallas chided.
“Bummer, Pierce. We won’t hold that against you, though. Just as long as you flash us that big dick once in a while,” I chided. Pierce and Dallas busted out laughing. Pierce said it didn’t make him any difference. He said if you had it, you might as well flaunt it. I agreed. We all gave him another hug, welcoming him aboard.
We said our farewells then headed to the ranch for a more somber occasion, if we could keep ourselves together for something like that after having fun at the airport. Mal drove us in the passenger van we had at the airport, borrowing it while we were in town. I had Will sit up front with Mal so he could pick on Will. Mal did like to tease Will, and was working on me as well. On the trip to the ranch, Will asked him if he brought Stoney’s ashes out of the house so we didn’t have to go in.
“They’re right where they’ve been all this time, Will. I haven’t moved them unless Stoney’s ghost moved them,” Mal teased, which didn’t set well with Will.
“Well, you guys can go in and get them if you want, but I’ll wait in the van,” Will announced. We all chuckled. Edgar asked him why he didn’t want to go into the house. “Edgar, you spend time in that place and creepy things happen. I swear the house is haunted with Stoney’s ghost, and he doesn’t seem to like me for some reason. Now, Josh, that’s another story. He loves Josh, and doesn’t bother him at all. Me, he’s not crazy about. When I lived in the cottage where Mal lives now, there were no problems. If I went into the house, well things happened. I could almost feel cold around me. It’s creepy, I’m telling you,” Will said, rather adamantly. Edgar told him that seemed crazy. Will told him he’d find out if he went in. Mal said he never felt anything weird. I told the group I never had either. “I’m telling you, it’s just me he doesn’t like, I guess anyway.”
We arrived at the house and Mal unlocked the back door by the garage. Will sat in the van, like he said he would. I told him not to be a fuddy duddy and just come with us as Jeb and Edgar had never seen the house. Will finally relented and walked inside, but hung onto me, saying maybe if Stoney saw how much I cared for him, he’d leave him alone. Jake almost cracked up.
“Wow, this is a great place, guys,” Edgar commented, with Jeb in total agreement. Will said it felt chilly in the place. Mal laughed.
“Will, it’s warm in here. I don’t have the AC on yet, but it’s warm in here,” Mal pointed out. Will gave him a strange look.
“There’s love in here,” Edgar said. “I can fell love, Will. I don’t feel any bad vibes at all, just a peaceful kind of love in this home. Jeb said he could sense something like that also. Will said he still felt weird. Jake, Mal and I didn’t feel anything out of the ordinary one way or another. We made our way into the great room from the kitchen, which blew Jeb and Edgar away. There on the mantle was the urn containing Stoney’s ashes.
“They haven’t moved, Will,” Mal assured him. Will asked him how he could tell. Mal just laughed, telling him he was paranoid. We decided to show Edgar and Jeb the rest of the house, including the safe where we found the letter from Stoney asking us to see if we could find Joseph. Edgar stood there in awe as he looked over Stoney’s office. He went and sat in Stoney’s chair and looked around, not saying a word.
