I find this kind of embarrassing because I do know some people on here, but it's a no flame zone, right?

I hooked up with a guy on Dec 4th; we met through a friend at a party, went back to his place, etc etc... All in all, a good night (very talented young man), except for the condom breaking while I was fucking him. I didn't notice until I took it off, so I'm not sure how long it had been broken while we were having sex.

On Dec 11th, I masturbated at home and then went to the washroom. After getting back into bed I saw a tiny amount of blood (a drop or two, tops) on my sheet and tracked it down to my penis (coming from my urethra). It was not free flowing and didn't continue bleeding. Neither my urine nor semen have blood in it, my urine is not foggy at all, no other weird discharges, I feel no pain or discomfort in my penis, and it has not happened again since then.

Obviously I can't be sure if the broken condom is at all linked to this, but I am a bit nervous (partially because wikipedia subsequently told me that I probably have one of several diseases or hundreds of infections hahaha). I haven't had sex with anyone since just in case, and have an appointment on Wednesday to get tested (the works). I'm not sure if I'm overreacting but my last test was just before summer so I'm due anyway.

Does anyone have some insight here? Is it possible that I did something while I was masturbating? Should I be worried?

I would suggest getting tested at your very earliest convenience, as you mentioned.

However, I will wait for KB to post in this thread. He is absolutely brilliant, and can give you much better advice than what I briefly mentioned. :)

Did you have or know any history with the guy you had sex with?

It's possible you just got a little too excited and broke a blood vessel. It happens more frequently than you think. *|*

Still, the only way to be sure is to get yourself tested for everything. You'll feel better knowing that you were clean, and if you did catch something, hopefully it is something that is easily treatable. Sadly, you were doing the right thing by wearing a condom :=D: though at times they break. Just part of the risk I guess.

Anyway, get yourself checked out and try not to fret about it.

No, none at all. Just a random hookup...

That seems to make the most sense to me (it was a fabulously intense session ;)).

It's unlikely to be any sort of STD. Usually the discharge seen with STDs tend to be cloudy with a yellow to green tinge to them.

There are a lot of things that can cause blood in the urethra or in urine. Most people who have blood in their urine or blood in their urethra have passed a small kidney stone (which happens often without people realizing they've passed one).

You're doing the right thing by having an STD test. They should do a urethral swap in your testing (not just HIV testing).

I'd also suggest you have a urinalysis and additional blood work done just to rule out any problems with your kidneys. If the STD clinic can't do these, then put a call into your family doctor and you should be able to pick up the lab requests you need to have these tests done.

Cool... Thanks for the reply.

My appointment is with my family doctor, anyway, so getting everything done won't be a problem. Thanks again!

As others have already stated, I don't think you have anything to be worried about, but do you have any idea why the condom broke? Was it yours? A bad fit, past its date, improperly stored or were you just too rough?

Also, i know your getting tested and whatever, but if you have HIV, it takes a minimum of 12 weeks to show up in the bloodstream

just FYI

Yes for HIV it takes a period of 3 months...so get retested around March again for HIV. Good luck!

What brand of condom was it, and has anyone else had an experience with the same brand breaking?
