Every year there have been three conferences/conventions for my professional group.

In 2020, all of them were replaced or cancelled. With two of them, all the Con-Ed sessions were virtual and one of them is a trade show/conference.

I realize I don't want to rush back into Toronto to attend an in-vivo conference this year...happy to look all this shit up on line.

Has anyone else decided to forego the 3 day junket to some city in order to eat out at indifferent restaurants, stay in 'executive' rooms at blah hotels and run into peers in order to drink to the okld days?

Last year I saved about 3500K on avoiding all this shit.

Colour me done.

I rarely attend business conferences, maybe one a year during normal times, and when I do my employer pays. There have been none during the pandemic.

Btw, doesn't 3,500K = 3,500,000?

I don't like to scrimp?

Nope. well not unless jacking off during a ZOOM meet counts.
