My boyfriend likes to cuddle and fall asleep like that. I have no problem with this but sometimes I like my space. Since I am the "back spoon," his head is usually pinning down my arm, so I can't really roll away.

My question is: Is there anyway to extract my arm without waking him up?

Awww, I wish I had someone to cuddle me to sleep... :(

Don't even think about it mister [-X.

I'm only joking

If his head is resting on the pillow with his neck on your arm, maybe you could push the whole of that arm right down onto the mattress giving you some room to allow you to slowly pull your arm out from underneath? I guess the pillow would have to be quite plump and the mattress pretty springy.

My b/f loves cuddling. So do I, but I'm an UNBELIEVABLY fidgety sleeper. So I can't fall asleep like that, or I'll beat the hell out of him in my sleep.

So it depends on how deeply he sleeps. Have a pillow ready to replace your arm, lift up on his head (via the shoulder), extract your arm, and put his head back down. If he wakes up, just say quietly, "Just freeing my arm", peck him on the cheek, and continue doing what you're doing.

Just slowly pull your arm out once he's fallen asleep or try cuddling in a way that leaves your limbs unpinned.

I have a similar problem and get a dead arm from having it under his head and have to move it. I have been experimenting lately with different arm positions (oh the exctiment of my life!!), one with the arm behind me, a bituncomfortable but ok, and one with the arm between us, and I like the second better, so I would recomend that, but it does take a bit of getting used to and does not feel natural to start off with, so try if for a couple of nights.

Hope this helps and enjoy the weekend

This is what I usually do.

One of the first times we slept together, I went to sleep in his arms and literally had him pinned down on his back with my head buried in his chest. He couldn't move and could barely breath! !oops! He didn't want to disturb me, so he put up with it for several hours until I rolled away on my own. #-oPoor guy didn't get much sleep that night, but said "just having you so close was worth it." :luv:

Now, we just smack each other out of the way when we get uncomfortable.

I really have to admire how you care so much to disengage without disturbing him! ..|

I had the same problem for a while, and I found that I really couldn't fall asleep while in that position due to the dead arm thing. However, I found that if he put his head on a pillow and I my arm under the pillow instead of directly under his head. There was much less chance that I would wake him up. idk, sometimes it worked :)

ahhhhhhhh true love.....being together so long that one can do this to a partner.....and live to tell the tale.

Awww.......how sweet!

I wish I had someone to cuddle to sleep too!

My partner is NOT the cuddling type, but once I'm asleep....I'm pretty knocked out....

So, just ever so gently....lift his head and pull it out...;)

I'm not a big cuddle person, well I cant in bed and I need my own space. My ex girlfriend wanted me to cuddle her, but just before we both went to sleep I would kiss her neck and we would move apart.

Now its funny cos the guy I have a real big crush on, he’s like a best friend to me, well I like it when he cuddles me, or he’s nice to lean on when where sat down, I like to lie against him, I’m a whole foot wider and taller than him but its still nice for him to hold me which is kinda weird. (And kinda complicated cos he’s ‘just’ a friend)

I personally couldn’t do it without waking someone up; tried with my ex girlfriend and I held my breath only to choke in her ear.
