Bernie Bros worked hard to discredit the only remaining candidate who was on their side, in terms of their self-proclaimed values.

It's fairly true though that people who are socially progressive in some respects (gay rights and welfare) can be racist or misogynistic. People are more often motivated by fear and hatred to act than generosity.

It looks to me as though Bernie's people merely reacted to being treated like crap and taken for granted by Clinton.

Bingo. They live in a bubble and that is what is being said in commentaries I am seeing around the web today. The DNC elite, the Media and pundits, the Clintons, their supporters ... they live in a bubble and still continue to live in a bubble and don't get it. They wanted a coronation and essentially got their way in the Primaries through cheating and rigging. And they thought they were going to get away with it. They didn't and got put in their place in a hard way.

It's very easy to fix this next time. Listen to the voters who supported Bernie Sanders as it should be painfully evident by now (even though they tried to tell the Clinton voters during the Primaries and nobody wanted to listen), there is no such thing as party loyalty with them if you cross them and try to silence them. I don't think anyone appreciates their Democracy being taken away from them or cheating through an unfair playing field. I am sure if Sanders was the one colluding with the Media and the DNC and Clinton was the lesser-known candidate while Wasserman-Schultz rigged the debate for Sanders benefit (assuming he was more of a household name), I am sure the Clinton voters would be outraged and would justifiably be in a position to take it out in the General Election.

But again, it is that bubble they live in. All about what Hillary Clinton wants and about Hillary herself. The Bernie voters were about the people and the Middle Class ... not just nice little soundbytes that were stolen from Sanders' speeches to make Hillary sound like she was all of a sudden for the Middle Class.

Don't vote for Establishment Candidates in the future and the DNC needs to let Democracy work instead of selecting candidates for the people. Pretty basic.

Seriously, if we want to "let democracy work" then we need to end the two-party system. That duopoly has been shown to be a huge source of not just corruption but absolute craziness. In truth at the moment both parties are conglomerations of pieces that don't belong together, and forcing them to stay that way is foolish.
