The Dark Knight

Re: dark knight prologue previewed

Harvey Dent is the Backbone of Dark Knight
Source: Los Angeles Times January 15, 2008

The Los Angeles Times talked to The Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan, who says that "Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart) is a tragic figure, and his story is the backbone of this film."

The Batman Begins helmer also mentioned that The Joker, played by Heather Ledger, "sort of cuts through the film -- he's got no story arc, he's just a force of nature tearing through. Heath has given an amazing performance in the role, it's really extraordinary."

He added that you shouldn't expect a lot of laughs. "It's a dark and complex story and the villains are dark and complex as well."

Oooh....this movie is at the top of my list this year!!!! ..|

(I didn't know where to properly post this without starting yet another "Dark Knight" thread...seems to fit in this one best) :D

Nice! Thats what I like to hear, I'm into the darker more grim aspect of the Batman franchise. Looking forward to it!

And that poster is sick...looking forward too even more

Re: dark knight prologue previewed

I wonder if we'll see more of Arkham in this one.

Re: dark knight prologue previewed

i don't know myself, but considering its the joker i think we may see the asylum again.

i loved how in batman begins they situated arkham right in the worst part of gotham.

Re: dark knight prologue previewed

OMG this movie is gonna be the shit bros. The only reason my pals and myself went to see "I Am Legend" was for the prologue. I have this crazy looking countdown on my myspace for it.

Re: The Dark Knight: Batman Returns Sequel

not to revive a dead thread but figured id put my 2 cents in. did you actually compare how much they made of the films not just sales, that is did you take into account production costs? i think the reason why these movies were considered flops were because of all the money they put into them and the relatively small returns.

Re: The Dark Knight: Batman Returns Sequel

Many will go to see this, simply because Ledger has passed away and they want to see his last performance. I'm expecting Dark Knight to do extremely well, and it will likely surpass Begins.

Re: The Dark Knight: Batman Returns Sequel

Umm, I thought The Killing Joke he's hired by some criminals to break into some chemical factory, Batman catches them, The Joker falls into chemicals, bleaching his skin etc. The reason he goes insane is cos his comedian career is going down the crapper, he's broke and he has a baby on the way, compounded by the fact that he was just caught robbing someplace. His wife is no harmed in the Killing Joke

His wife is killed in a freak accident, involving a bottle warmer. He tries to back out of the laboratory robbery, but is forced to do it anyway. He escapes the laboratory, only to fall into some sort of toxic material, thereby mangling his face and turning his skin white.

Re: The Dark Knight: Batman Returns Sequel

Batman Begins was an awesome Batman movie, definatly the start of a better franchise than that mildly-dark almost cartoonish first Batman series with Keaton, Kilmer, and Clooney.

I loved Batman when I was a lil tyke, I like it all over again now, the more realistic atmosphere is was better than the other movies, Batman Begins makes the other movies look like clowns in comparison.

Re: The Dark Knight: Batman Returns Sequel

I was gonna see it anyway, because I love Christian Bale and I'm trying to get him elected as the king of the bisexuals..but, with Mr. Ledgers untimely accidental demise, it's gonna make this film a priority.
I saw the previews a couple weeks ago online, and saw the first six minutes (Bootleg Alert!).

Re: The Dark Knight: Batman Returns Sequel

I've gotta say i was a big fan of George as Batman but Christian really really done a great job i mean he really took it to the next level

Re: The Dark Knight: Batman Returns Sequel

This Batman is levels above the previous ones. I am so jazzed to see the next one with Ledger as Joker.
