William Klein, innovative street and fashion photographer, dies at 96

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, aged 96.

https://www.cnn.com/2022/09/10/africa/colonialism-africa-queen-elizabeth-intl/index.html

“I cannot mourn,” one wrote on Twitter, posting an image of what she said was her grandmother’s “movement pass” – a colonial document which prevented free travel for Kenyans under British rule in the east African country.

Another wrote that her grandmother “used to narrate to us how they were beaten & how their husbands were taken away from them & left to look after their kids,” during colonial times. “May we never forget them. They are our heroes,” she added.

The Brit's exploitation of brown peoples means fans of the throne are going to gush that much harder, a passive aggressive "eff you" to people of color, exalting her to god-like status as if she cured cancer and solved world hunger. There are a lot of African and caribbean nations that are not mourning and their stories deserve to be told. The truth is what it is regardless of how anyone feels about it.

^ Just think of how much we will suffer when the financial system that props all that crumbles and everyone is left to their own hate or righteousness.

Jean-Luc Godard - leading filmemaker of french new wave cinema died at 91

Isn't that already happening?

If you mean "starting to happen"... in any case, I said 'CRUMBLES' not merely 'CRACKS' and 'TOTTERS'.
And I meant civil war, not just civil unrest.

Olivia Newton John was left out of In Memoriam on the Emmys

Did they mention Elizabeth II? I hope so, because she deserves some special award or, at least, mention, having contributed to TV history with as many documentaries and docudramas as the Kennedys or Diana S.

I dont know if Queen Elizabeth was mentioned. I heard about it on 'The Social' (Canada's answer to 'The View')

She wouldnt have been mentioned because she is not in 'show business'
