He was also an ally of the LGBTQ community by fighting for gay rights. His death has made me want to become an advocate myself for victims of caregiver abuse that aren’t elderly and autism rights. Caregiver abuse towards autistics happens more often than people think and sometimes they see it happening but the abuser disguises the abuse so well that it looks like nothing wrong is happening.
