One must speculate that the degree to which LDS suppresses homosexuality in their children, it may have been a serious contributing factor in the murder of Charlie Kirk. His assassin appears to have begun college, and become disillusioned with the world he had been raised to believe in. Once a society defines a pariah so completely, it cannot come as a surprise that they no longer feel bound by the rest of society's mores, taboos, and laws.

Although I have to admit I do go somewhat off the deep end sometimes.

It doesn't excuse it if it did inspire this one, but it may well explain it and bear accountability for what it does to the repressed.

Lots of gay men never commit suicide either, but that doesn't mean the ones who do were not made hopeless by their society's cruelty.
