The Death List 2026

Cult classic Harold & Maud star: Walter Edward Cox, known professionally as Bud Cort, was an American actor known for his unorthodox starring roles in Robert Altman's Brewster McCloud, for which he was nominated for a Golden Laurel Award, and Hal Ashby's Harold and Maude, for which he was nominated for both a Golden Globe Award and a BAFTA Award.

Other than his random appearances on How I Met Your Mother, I never watched his shows and felt relatively indifferent to him, but when news of his cancer broke a while ago, it saddened me greatly. Then back in December I heard he was responding positively to treatment, news that seemed so hopeful. Now this. What a gut punch!
He was in "Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23", playing as alternate version of himself as a superficial, self-obsessed actor, desperate to be People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive. Very funny stuff.

Actor Tome Noonan passed away on Valentine's Day. No article. He was 74. I knew him from The Monster Squad (1987).

Chuck Negron, singer-songwriter, lead vocalist of Three Dog Night, with COPD aged 83.

He did have a lovely voice.

An Old Fashioned Love Song (written by Paul Williams)

for one of the top rock acts of the late 1960s and early '70s, died Monday. He was 83.

So he wasn't participating in "Mama Told Me (Not to Come)"?

That's the only hit of Three Dog Night I ever heard play here.
Like a lot of TDN hits, it was a cover of someone else's song.

You didn't get the Eric Burdon or Randy Newman versions in the Netherlands?

No. We usually only got one version of a song every thirteen years or so.

Randy Newman's Short People they did use to play on the radio.
